“Very Bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2007

We have just arrived from Kusadasi, and stayed at the Kayhanbey Hotel, we read some of the reviews and were looking forward to a nice place, but it was over rated the beach is a taxi ride away or Dolmus which is a mini bus, which cost about 7 turkish pounds, its not 100metres as stated in some reviews the food at the hotel was terrible to say the least a lot of what was left over was served the next day it had poor service and only three dishes to choose from & nothing for kids. The pool was on the roof and very dirty and unkept. We booked with Youtravel who's rep dispite numerious attempts did not turn up to see us or offer advise on places to go. The beach was very dirty and they charged for every sunbed and umbrella as well as evrytime you use the tiolet even the kids had to pay. Kusadasi, Its self is a lovely place but not really catered for children and everything is over priced, the transfer from the airport to the resort is long about 2 hours or more. the staff at the hotel are not very helpful and dont really understand you. Would not use the hotel or Youtravel again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and got a very good deal for it, the hotel is right a tthe harbour where all the big massive crusie boats come in its amazing to wake up to in the morning and see these massive things sitting their right in front of your eyes.

The hotel is very fancy what you expect for a 4 star hotel the rooms are very nice and a nice wee balcony to sit out on at night or through the day sitting looking onto the sea with a nice relaxing drink.

The staff are very friendly and will do anything for you the pool is on the roof and they also have several differant massages on offer and sauna and turkish bath, the food is also lovely and was differant every ngiht we were their.

i will definately be going back again and if you see the guy that brings your dinner he allways says have a nice meal whatever he gives you lol made me laugh, youll definately enjoy your stay hear.

We visited this hotel in December, off-season, low priced ($60 USD) and low quality. The front of the hotel is nice enough (as with most Turkish tourist hotels) but our room was dark and not the cleanest.
We actually visited 7 different hotels in Turkey over a 2 week period. Just about all of them had electricity problems; only a fraction of the lights were turned on which gave the hotel a very unwelcome appearance.
