“sezgins guesthouse our second home”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

I stayed at Sezgins Guesthouse with my husband and mother for 4 nights in September.
It was our first visit to Turkey after travelling greek islands.
The rooms are very modern, in a very quite area, and you feel extremely safe.
It's wonderful to have use of an Ipad during your stay, and at the end of your day,Deniz brings out some Turkish Tea to share with all the guests, which is lovely.
The breakfasts are a wonderful way to start the day.
I researched a lot of places to stay, and am so happy that I booked Sezgins Guesthouse - I would recommend the place to family and friends, and will definitely stay there on my next trip to Kusadasi.

Room Tip: Free Pick on request from the port.

“More than we expected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We stayed 4 nights in this very cozy hotel and it was perfect: 2 minutes to city center, and to the port - so very easy to visit the sites. Very good breakfast in the morning (I specially enjoyed the home made cookies!). The owner Sezgin and the manager Deniz - where a wonderful hosts, Sezgin helped us with instructions how to reach different places (including Prien miletus and didyma :)) ). We arrived early in the morning, well before check-in time and I left after check-out time. Our luggage was very well kept at the reception and we want to say thank you again for the hospitality offered.

“Giving this place 'Very Good' for the service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

Good value for the spacious, pool-view double room we had (80 TRY/night) and in a great location. Sezgin arranged transport for the four of us to Ephesus (15 TRY/person) with a woman friend of theirs who speaks excellent English--it was a good deal, even though we had to do the obligatory stop-off at her carpet shop after our Ephesus-visit. Just FYI--The Turkish Bath that is advertised in the hotel lobby is very basic. A nice family runs the hamam and they are very generous, serving me multiple cups of tea while I was there, but the atmosphere isn't great. (For instance: It is run out of a basement and they were blaring Turkish talk radio during my entire massage!) But, if you're looking for a CHEAP Turkish bath experience (35 TRY) while staying in Kusadasi, maybe you would want to do this--transport to and from the hotel is included. We also took the hotel up on their barbecue dinner--generous portion of fish (20 TRY) or chicken (15 TRY)--pricey, but not too bad! (The cheapest meal we found close to this place along the tourist strip was at a little restaurant called Kofteci Hasanin Yeri.) It was great chatting with Sezgin and Deniz-- they told us of their plans for renovating the place, so this will be a very good option if you're planning on staying with them next summer! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. One suggestion would be to put the breakfast buffet out of reach of all the stray cats!

“AMAZING!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

We have been traveling for months and this was the best place we stayed by far. Sezgin and Deniz were so helpful. They were able to book everything we wanted whenever we wanted and saved us money. They had incredible recommendations and were very knowledgable. Even after we checked out they let us leave our stuff at the hotel, helped us plan our last day and even offered us a shower before they drove us to our next city that evening. When you go here, you must try the fish dinner that Deniz makes, it is one of the best meals I've had while traveling.
