We stayed in the Opus Apart Hotel in Kusadasi for 4 days in September. It is located within a resort in the outskirts of Kusadasi. Our double room apartment had a fridge, kitchen, and balcony, and was pretty clean, although the shower wasn't brilliant. Service was very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a bit smaller than it looks on the internet, but the terrace and garden next to it are pretty nice. The only problem with this hotel might be the location, a bit far away from the city center and beach (About 45' walking distance). But buses stop very close and very often, so it is not too bad after all. As most modern building resorts, it doesn't have any charm either. Kusadasi itself is not a charmful place, but is very well located if you want to explore the south Agean coast. And so we did with a rented car.
Anyway given the price we payed, I think this place is very good value for money. We definitively enjoyed our stay there.

i have just come back from kusadasi and stayed at the opus
what a place they really cant do enough for you
the food is brill the rooms spacious ( i booked my room off here through twig, who owns one of the apartments [-] which worked out cheaper)
pool fab and clean a well stocked and cheap bar (always a plus)
i would recomend anyone to go to the opus you will have a really memorable time as you will see when you read the reviews off here, so many people return year after year some are even on their tenth time. there is a choice of two airports izmir and bodrum both fairly close to kusadasi and ben the owner will sort out transfers if you dont fancy being on a coach.
when you are in kus there are lots of things to do day and night, try a turkish bath its great. plenty of bars and restaurants (i prefer the ones on ladies beach) and great shopping too
i will be returning to opus early in the new year and i cant wait
thanks ben and staff see you soon and also thanks twig you were`nt wrong i love it!!!

The Opus apart hotel accommodation was excellent, basic but very clean. The towels and sheets are changed every second day and there is plenty hot water for showers at night. The safety deposit box in the room is free and you have to pay extra for the air conditioning which is in the bedroom only.
The pool is the cleanest I've ever been in, cleaned every morning as is the sunbeds and the covers. All the staff are very friendly and attentive, a good laugh and a wee bit competitive with the table tennis when they are not busy!!
If you are going as self catering (as we were originally) I would advise paying the extra for breakfast, it is served from 8 - 10am and comprises of as much tea, coffee, orange juice, toast, cereal & the usual turkish breakfast of ham, tomatoes, cucumber, hard boiled eggs etc.
The only negative thing about the Opus is you have to cross a busy dual carridgeway to get to the town centre. The location is a 10 min walk to the centre of Kusadasi. Alternatively you can jump on a dolmus which pass frequently and give you a 'toot', costing approx 75p each.
We ate most evenings at the Opus as the food was so good and reasonable - tip, you don't really need to order a starter as you get plenty of fresh bread and butter and sometimes garlic bread / onion rings free!!
If you fancy a change I would thoroughly reccommend a £5 taxi to Ladies beach and eat at "Halikarnas restaraunt" where the food is excellent and the waiters and entertainment is brilliant.
We did 3 trips when on holiday and would recommend them all. We booked with the "Lykos agency" at Ladies beach as they were much better priced.
1) Adaland aquapark: £18 - £20 including bus to / from. Don't be fooled by the leaflets, you have to pay extra if you want to go to seaworld area (snorkelling, dolphins etc). £18 - £20 is for entry to pool / slides only but still worth it. Apart from the usual slides there is a dance floor area with a DJ pumping out music and people dancing with water spraying up, cool. You could go over 2 days and have a day at each.
2) Jeep safari: Brilliant day out but not for the faint hearted!! Remember to wear old clothes and preferrably trainers; you will not believe how filthy you get, possibly not able to use again!!! Basically the jeep drivers are all up for a mega fun day & each jeep competes against one another. There is loads of water involved, everyone gets soaked & filthy. There is a visit to a derelict monastry, a swim in a cave lake and finishes off with an hour relaxing and winding down at a beach. The ticket price includes a lovely BBQ - well worth the money.
3) Boat trip: 3 beaches. Good day out but it's not actually beaches as such you go to. The 1st stop you can get off boat & walk across rocks to get to a pebbly piece of land about 10 feet wide. The other 2 stops are lovely water that you can jump off the boat and swim around in to cool down. They do supply life jackets for anyone not comfortable swimming in the sea. Lunch and soft drinks in abundance all day are included in the ticket price.A good day out, a nice change from lying at the pool all day and actually works out quite cheap for your day.
The only drawback to the holiday (as usual) is the trip to the airport for the flight home.
***WARNING*** The airport is very expensive. Before going to the airport take cans of beer, bottles of water, packets of crisps / biscuits etc. I bought a small cup of coffee and a can of diet coke - 18 YTL (approx £9!!!) and saw a guy pay 15YTL for a large beer and 11YTL for a slice of pizza!!!

My daughter (16) and I have just returned from our second stay at Opus. Went last year for a week, which was definitely not long enough, so returned for 2 weeks this year, bringing my friend and her daughter (10) with us and it still wasn't long enough! Next year a month!

The hotel is fabulous in every way. The staff, management and owners are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. You are treated as an individual, all the staff know you by name and not as a number as in some of the bigger, more impersonal hotels.

The apartments are kept immaculately clean. The restaurant is good value and has a great chef, Jimmy, who cooks fantastic food both on a half board basis and a la carte.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the town or a short ride in a dolmus, the incredibly cheap mini buses that run literally every minute until midnight. we chose it for exactly that reason. During the day you get the advantage of relaxing in peace in the gorgeous gardens of the hotel (if you need a bit of shade) or around the large pool, for the sun worshippers! Then in the evening you can go into town and enjoy the lively bars and clubs or do a bit of shopping (far more pleasant, when it's cooled down a bit).

This has to be one of the best places we have stayed and can't wait to return next year. Our friends are returning too and some more planning to join us as well.

Opus Apart Hotel is a fantastic place to spend your summer holidays. The staff are excellent and very friendly, they really make your holiday very special. There is a new chef and the food is fantastic and very reasonable. The apartments are only a short 10 to 15 minute walk from the centre of town where you will find many bars, restaurants and shops. We have been to Opus 4 times and decided to return in April this year to purchase 2 apartments. One apartment on the 5th floor which sleeps 4 people and one apartment on the 6th floor which sleeps 6 people. Both apartments are for rent and anyone interested can contact us on afrench72@msn.com for details and availability.
