“Great for kids and views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We had a nice family room, with a great sea view. Room was nice and large. The hotel is good with many kids around. Not a huge pool, but enough. Sun decks get booked quickly.

Good choice in food and all inclusive helps.

Overall a good stay.

Room Tip: Take a sea view room and avoid the back side.

Just back from a wonderful relaxing holiday at the Ephesia Hotel from 29th June to 6th July. The staff really looked after us '11 English ladies'. Rooms were very spacious and although the balcony looked out on to next door hotel we could still see the sea and had some welcome shade when changing for dinner. (how much time is spent in the room anyway)? Being a large group we settled in the gardens each day near to beach and beach bar. The animation team (Baris, Tweety, Ronnie Fatih & co) were great, offering games during the day (no pressure to participate) and presented wonderful shows each night in the amphitheatre. Food was plentiful, offering a wide selection to choose from. Definitely a holiday to remember!

Room Tip: You can pay extra for a sea view but to be honest I would rather be in the sea or the pool than sat...

we have just come back from an amazing holiday. we arrived late to find sandwiches and chocolate in our rooms. all I can say was every thing was so good from the food to the staff. especially the animation team which were tweety, Ronnie, Kemal, faith, baris and sila. every thing here was so good the food was plentiful you would never stave. there was on waiting around to get a drink like some inclusive hotels I have been to. the hotel rooms were lovely and clean. what more can I say but thank you so much for a great holiday and we will defo return x

We stayed here from 15th June 2013 for a week. It was after midnight when we arrived, but there was a chef in the restaurant waiting to see if we needed any food, as well as 2L of water in the fridge, a ham and cheese sarnie each and some chocolate. I could have kissed their faces!
I've been to Turkey many, many times, but this is the first time we've had such 5-star treatment.
So I guess you could say we were off to a good start.
The room was large (by Turkish standards) and very well appointed. And IMMACULATELY clean. In fact the whole hotel was. Our "partial sea view" was way above expectations and over looking the pool and a sizeable section of the coast. There was oodles of hot water first thing in the morning and plenty of pressure in the shower (as you know most hotels use solar collectors to heat the water so that it's hot at night)
The food was great - you could eat all day long - we never did get to the buffet lunch, we were just too full of gozleme and pide!
The animation team were friendly and came and said "hello" every morning to those of us hiding from group activities on the beach LOL! I can't comment on the entertainment cause we went into Kusadasi several times after dinner rather than stay "at home". The Dolmus stop is right outside opposite the taxi rank and only 2.75Lira each, they run every 5-10mins from earlymorning till midnight (you'll need the number 6 route).
Even the locals on the bus were friendly, so were the guys in Kusadasi, and the staff in the hotel were no exception.
So to sum up? A warm welcome, excellent service, great facilities, and definite return trip for us next year.

Room Tip: You can't have room 543, it's ours!

Everything was amazing! My children are still raving about the kids Club, mini disco and the staff. The hotel is very hygienic and this is very important to me as I have all kind of allergies... I can not say anything else than "A majör thank you" for a wonderful time...

We travelled back to Turkey in the hope that the Ephesia Hotel would meet the great example set by the 4 star WOW Resort in which we stayed last year unfortunately this was not the case, we arrived at 10pm on Saturday night to find there was no entertainment when we asked we was told it was change over day at that's why it was soooooo quiet , we decided to sit in the lobby and unwind from a long day come 12o/c the staff were putting chairs on the tables and cleaning around us then they stood next to our table and said they were tired and needed to tidy away , next day we hoped for some entertainment,( I must sat the animation team were friendly ) however the shows were very poor for children there is a mini disco which runs for 45mins from 8.15 till 9pm next from 10pm till 11pm was the adult entertainment after this time there was nothing at all . The other guest all seemed to be playing cards and board games quite happily making there own entertainment . On the plus side the hotel was clean food was great with a good selection however we found the waiter service very poor on one night we had to ask 3 times for a drink at the end of our meal the drink finally arrived , we found this service was to be repeated almost every meal time. This hotel I would recommend to those in need of some sun and relaxation but not those looking to be entertained, English are in the minority Mostley German and French as said earlier the world of wonders(wow) in bobrum far exceeds this hotel.

This is a great hotel, don't be put off by the appearance of the approach and reception area if you arrive in the dark!! We spent two weeks here 8 - 22nd June 2013 on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is right on the beach, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food is plentiful, varied and of good quality. Two different restaurants are used. One for breakfast and lunch which has sea views on three sides from the terrace and one for dinner which is mostly set outdoors. Service was very good (although some waiters are easily distracted!! Focus their attention). Food is available throughout the day down by the pool. Mixed meat and cheese pide is fabulous. The Al a carte restaurant near the beach serves as a bar all day until 6 when it closes for dinner, re-opening at 10pm as a bar until midnight. All inclusive drinks are avaiable until midnight. We didn't get involved in animation/activities, but they were plentiful if you're so minded. We hired a car for 3 days from the firm in reception. (100 Euros all inclusive). We went to the National Park (15 km, nice beaches, but they dont tell you half of it is not accessible), Ephesus (21km, a must) and Pamukkale (200 km, fab, but a 2 1/2 hour drive - don't forget the amphitheatre behind, it's jaw dropping). Gripes, not many. 1. The private beach is crowded with fixed parasols so you're all scrabbling for the sun (the lads next to it operate a few lovely beds with plenty of room for 10TL (£1.86) for two beds and a parasol. 2. Our European friends still get up at 6am to reserve their beds even though they don't use them until the afternoon in some cases. We had a great ,relaxing break at this hotel and were gutted to be leaving. We will go back. Oh, the weather was amazing. One cloud in two weeks and 35 - 40 every day. Don't bother with long sleeves and trousers (one evening it was still 37 deg at 9pm). Smart shorts are acceptable for dinner.
A big thank you to Mehmet (waiter in the restaurants) who was very relaxed, friendly, and attentive. Also, Tahir (manager of A la Carte restaurant), who is very professional, friendly and helpful.
We can't wait to go back. Gary and Marie.
