My Husband and I spent a week at this resort recently and we could not fault it.
We read the reviews before we went so were a little apprehensive but when we arrived and checked into our room we were pleasantly surprised. Overall the food was great, there was always nice fresh food being put out and a good selection of different types of food from Mexican to English and Turkish. Wasn't really bothered about the English food actually because if we were we would have gone to Blackpool. We didn't get any stomach bugs as we kept ourselves clean and used sanitiser. A little hygiene goes a long way. It is a massive resort which caters for hundreds of people so it only takes one person with a bug to use the door in front of you to pass it on. Common Sense really.
There was no one we knew who got ill.
I loved the water slides and spent an hour or so there in the mornings before heading to either the pool or the beach for the rest of the day.
Beach clean, tidy and safe which is great as I loved being in the sea and diving off the piers.
If you do go in the sea just get some sea shoes from the gift shop because there are urchins which could sting your feet.
Check out the fish at the Marina as well. Everyday bread is put in a bin for you to feed them and snorkel with them as well. Great fun!
All the staff were very friendly and smart.
The entertainment at the night was really good as well and the Animation Staff made you feel welcome and part of everything no matter what age you were.
The drinks were good too and enjoyed the all inclusive. The Sunset Bar at night looks stunning. Overall I would recommend this resort to anyone as there is something for everyone.
Can't wait to go back sometime in the future.

Stayed for a week in July, the food was repetitive, and only luke warm. The dining area was like a cattle market, often no where to sit, or one of our party would save a table and we had to take it in turns getting food and eating it. Often food served at lunch would reappear again in the evening in a slightly different dish! The rooms were so basic I wouldn't even rate them as 1 star, the first room we were allocated had only 1 tiny window, with a curtain hanging from a broken pole! 3 old wooden beds with an old woollen blanket on each! No mirror in the room, no chairs or other furniture, the shower curtain in the bathroom didn't reach the floor so every time someone had a shower the bathroom would flood, The air con unit was so old and load you could barely sleep while it was on. When we asked to move rooms, the reception staff were rude and totally unhelpful!

The pool area was reasonable, but very busy with the same old problem, towels on sunbeds at 6am so no beds left by around 7.30, and of course nothing was done about it.

The entertainment was dire at best! Student types performing poorly for low wages and long hours.

Thomas cook rep was rude, unhelpful and condescending.

Only positive really was a good beach bar, good drinks measures and a great view.

Complained on our return and thomas cook admitted this hotel has received low scores for its food and room quality, they then compensated us with a partial refund.

Please don't waste you cash on this place! Find another hotel.

Room Tip: If you can't be guaranteed a refurbished room, don't risk it!

We went to pine bay on the 23rd august. Firstly the journey over was faultless, apart from the shabby and old fashioned interior of the plane...surely an update must be overdue Thomas Cook? On arrival we efficiently passed through the airport until it transpired that a piece of our luggage was missing. It was at this point that the Turkish welcome would not include acknowledgement or genuine interest or concern about your plight... However, I honestly don't blame them... The people they deal with on a daily basis are so rude, I'm not sure it's one nationality, it just seemed generally that people are just not able to make eye contact, acknowledge your presence or even be slightly polite to the staff anywhere we went in turkey so the staff are the same (admittedly with constant thank you'd and smiles some could be worn down)! So the case situation was eventually agreed as not being at the airport ... Over to Thomas Cook to deal with it then..... So lots of reassurances that it would be dealt with and a later transfer to the hotel was arranged. On arrival we were taken to our bungalow, it was functional, that is all, not amazing, not hideous, not too high up the hill so we just felt relieved and settled in for the night. The missing luggage took four days to arrive. The reception staff were disinterested and despite many promises from Thomas Cook that the luggage would arrive from the airport (yes it actually got to Turkey the day after we arrived but they couldn't co ordinate it's transfer to the hotel!) They got cross with each other, made promises they couldn't keep to shut us up and generally blamed each other until it finally appeared! Not great! The holiday itself was good, the descriptions on here are pretty accurate ... The buffet is busy and full of bad mannered people, the staff work hard but don't overly value customer service, there arnt any prime sunbeds after 9am, the towels keep running out........ But the pools and beaches are lovely, the sun was hot, the Turkish bath in the spa was lovely (probably overpriced), and the safari/ boat trip was great. Some of us got the turkey belly... One quite badly... No idea why some got it worse than others...!! The town and market was an 'interesting' experience.. Haggling was fun and some nice 'genuine fakes' were purchased. Currency was flexible, take what ever u like, they are not fussy as long as you are spending in their shops!
Pine Bay is big, functional and is designed to make money. We won't be going again but if u want sun, everything in one place, a town nearby and reasonable value for money I would recommend you give it a go.

We returned from a 10 day stay at Pine Bay resort, from 13th - 23rd August. We were a party of 6 - 4 adults & 2 children. First impressions, excellent check-in & bell boys to take your luggage to your accommodation. Bungalow was very basic but ended up being moved into the hotel due to issues with staff using our bungalow terrace area as a short cut. However, by day 4 of our stay, my dad had come down with the dreaded bug then two days later my mum developed the bug. At this point we was not aware of the fact that a lot more guests at the resort had also come down with the same bug. The thomas cook rep did nothing to help them. My parents had to request and pay for a doctor to attend the resort who then diagnosed gastroenteritis who then took them directly to hospital. Where they remained for the duration of the day on a drip.

This ruined my mum & dad's holiday, 7 out of their 10 days were lost due to this bug and upon their return to the U.K. have not fully recovered. They need another holiday to get over this holiday!

The main restaurant is like piccadilly circus, too many people to cater for in a short space of time - 7 till 9. The themed nights were good but gave up trying to select different foods due to the number of people. Their needs to be sanitised gel before entering the restaurant to help reduce the spread of germs. Finding a table is a nightmare when going for dinner around 8 - 8.30 ish. Couple of occasions think we walked the length of the restaurant looking for a table. The waiters / waitresses are not the most friendly apart from the odd one or two.

On a positive note, our boys aged 11 & 7 loved the resort, the aquapark was great and the activities organised by the animation team were great especially Army, Carlos & Rico. Who came to say bye to the boys when leaving.

The Sunset bar was great to chill out at the end of the day following a visit to the amphitheatre, which was great for the first two nights but went a bit down hill after that.

All in all, Pine Bay is a great resort, there is lots to do but the main restaurant and the dreaded bug needs sorting!!. Would return in the future if these issues are sorted.

Just visited Pinebay for our 7th time AMAZING TIME!!!! ....our family of 4 stayed in one of the newly refurbished bungalows and they were amazing. As repeat guest we were treat like kings and queens, lovely bottle of wine, large bowl of fruit, turkish delight, beach bags and slippers on arrival to our room. How many places do you ever get an ensuite bathroom plus a seperate power shower in one room in a hotel? To those people who groan about stars... if you want the hilton as in Vegas, or London then your not going to find it inTurkey. This accommodation is affordable, and its far from basic too! and also beautiful since its very recent refurbishment. if you want the hilton go there!!( The staff in this hotel, all of them work very hard to please us guests time over to have a great holiday and they really never fail. If you want a smallish hotel with not much to it then dont go here, because this has got everything including a very large selection of different ,foods, which I might add are generally being cooked in front of you, by the many chefs as you are dining. Food is great, and has a massive selection. Because this hotel covers alot of area and has extensive private beach and aqua park you will never find that there are a shortage of sunbeds. Plentiful in all areas as is the continuous flow of fresh towels available daily around the pools.

The barman Orphan in the foyer bar and his assistant are a credit to this hotel along too with Danny the new animation boss... brilliant zumba, aqua zumba, aqua areobics, table tennis, darts, shooting, archery, tennis, football, volleyball, and best pool games since Danny arrived too. Rico, Tufan, Armi and Speedy (a girl :-) simply the best animation in Turkey. Most animators spoke 3-5 different languages so there will never be any language barrier.

Tried Egypt last year on a 5* AI and was twice as expensive as here, similar layout but minus any animation in the day or evening so this has really got to take some beating.( oh and was severely ill for 8 day in Egypt with the food!) Will be back again soon, as no where else seems to compare at the end of the day,

A little unfortunate though that those people who like to complain on review sites, dont go to other places to be able to compare reasonably...Brilliant Pinebay thanks too for the invite to the repeat guests cocktail party and dinner in the marina.

Housekeeping too .. towels changed every day, bedding every other day. Never saw rubbish around resort and all staff were very polite, and helpful at all times.

Shuttles are brilliant, these take you down to lovely marina, beach, in fact anywhere you would like to go on the resort.:-) and are very fast once you request one by phone.
So anyone reading these reviews, take it from a very reliable guest.... its SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!

Room Tip: Call the shuttle however many times you want, theres no limit, and the breeze whilst on it cools you...

Travelled to Pinebay this August for 2 weeks, 2 Adults and 2 chldren aged 8 & 3.
Opinion of Pinebay is varied, bad points were:
Poor hygiene in food areas resulting in whole family still suffering from upset stomachs 1 week later. The food hall resembles a cattle market, badly needs another food hall as it struggles to cope with far too many guests both foodwise and with seating.
We stayed all inclusive and found that you had to pay for milkshakes, fresh orange juice and most alcohol apart from beer.
Yes the complex is large but it does not really explain or show in the brochure justhow hilly it actually is, most walks leave you out of breath! - There are shuttles (driven by the local Lewis Hamilton's) but not enough to cater for the volume of guests and more often than not our ignorant cousins from other countries jump the supposed queue's even when you have a 3 year old slumped over your shoulder fast asleep!!
Moving onto the entertainment, never have i been on holiday and been so bored i actually fell asleep during a supposed comedy routine! watching grass grow would have been more interesting! There was no interaction with the audience and no real variety - a total waste of a good evening.
Whilst on the subject of waste - the Thomas cook rep was as much use as a chocolate fireguard, when asked for advice when one of our party was hospitalised for a week she actually said "i cant get involved with that" and still never asked or checked how the person was!- apart from take your money for the trips and put you on the coach home, i fail to see what she actually did.

Good points now apart from going home!
We stayed in bungalow No.409 it had been refurbished and was quite pleasant, bathroom very nice and aircon actually worked but bed linen not the best with stains and slight rips in some (were changed when reported as was the toilet flush when it broke)
Hotel in general was clean and not bad but definately a 3 star not higher.
Pools were clean and refreshing - the aqua park was excellent with lifeguards awake and on the ball.
Would reccomend going to the market and town, good fun haggling.
Also to Aqua fantasy land, the kids absolutley loved it.

All in all felt disapointed and cheated, paid a lot of money for a low rate of service and lack of what i would call wow factor - will not be returning.

Room Tip: Go for bungalows near to the reception, they have been refurbished.

One week away at this hotel is not enough. The immense size of the complex is breath taking. Yes the complex is situated on an incline, but there are large motorised buggies which can seat 5 passengers to whisk you off from your room or reception or for that matter, just ask any of the staff at any of the plentiful, restaurants and bars to call the shuttle for you and they are more than happy to help.
From arrival to departure every aspect of this holiday was perfect in more ways than one.
Enough of me rattling on, let's get down to business.
1, staff.... On arrival, a warm welcome from reception especially from the wonderful Ozge Soysal and her fantastic team of customer relations. Ozge has got to be the best in the business at bringing satisfaction and excellence to her position within the hotel.
2. Bar staff/waiters. Awesome, remember, if you are going on holiday to a far destination. Try to learn the culture and a little of the language as it can go a long long way. Not a single member of the serving staff was rude or ignorant, they were all professional at all times.
3. Food! O.M.G! Fantastic, Awesome, Fresh, plentiful, Magnificent, Mouth watering, "let me know when you want me to stop" No words could really describe the excellence of the chefs culinary delights. Just out of this world. The main restaurant is a pleasure to eat at. (Remember people, its all inclusive and some nations don't know how to queue, so yes you may find some people who barge through, but that's how they are.) You must visit the a la carte restaurants, the settings and food along with the excellent service is amazing.
4. Pools and amenities... We visited all of the pools including the Awesome slides which the kids loved, my son aged 15, my daughter 12 and the big kid aged 47(lol). All had life guards who were very good at their job and were fun and approachable. The toilet facilities around the entire site were found to be perfectly clean at all times with no issues.
5. Accommodation. Our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom bungalow was perfectly situated for the main hotel in general. It was very clean and fresh towels and mini bar were replenished daily. It was only a little walk to the pools, and a short walk to aqua Park and the marina with its many water sports and tranquil beach Cove.

overall, we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit to pine bay, taking advantage of everything this hotel had to offer even down to the superb shops, spa, and water sports. I must mention that if you are looking for quality at low prices, take a look into Demet's Boutique, speak with Fatihy (fatti), you won't be disappointed! The quality is a lot higher than the merchandise you will find in the bazaars. Demet' is located in the hotel lobby.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the management and staff across the hotel board for making our holiday, a fantastic holiday.
Now, as I am British, I must moan about something or it wouldn't be right. So here goes.... my one complaint is, I should of booked two weeks! :) :) :)
see you next year pine bay. Love from the mack family xxx.
