The service at the hotel was absolutely fine and the staff were pleasant and helpful ,but to be fair we hardly saw any other guests so there was not much atmosphere. The benefits of this though were that it was a really quiet and peaceful hotel (despite the door locks being archaic and noisy. The breakfast is a minimal Turkish breakfast ie, bread, eggs , cheese, olives ,tomato , cucumber and jams, tea and coffee. That's it. I dont know what children would be expected to drink. ?You have to pay for any other drink. ! The view from the hotel rooms and pool area is fantastic. The air con and safe deposit cost us either 70 or 90 TL ,total cant remember exactly but we really needed the aircon .There were a few more guests the day before we left so perhaps things may liven up.The reception areas,TV area and pool area look quite nice for a budget hotel and are fresh, clean and bright. It is a bit of a shock when you enter the room for the first time and see the old wooden furniture and the bathroom with mismatched tiles and trickle of a shower. However it is clean and hot water was always available.. As the weather was absolutely fantastic we were not in much. The location we found was fine as we like a walk and the steep hill was good exercise. If you do not like the walk the dolmus stops right outside the hotel door. Get the number 2 which heads up the hill and it will take you round the corner and then down into the town. The dolmus come literally every couple of miutes and are only 1.50 or 2 lira. To go town by walking ,go straight down the hill .If you walk left from there you will come to the town in about 15 ish minutes. There are bars and restaurants on the way and we mostly found these to be cheaper than in the town. In the town there are absolutely loads of shops and restaurants and bars. The food really varies .Some is excellent and some is tasteless.A large beer is mosly around 4TL and main meals vary from about 9 through to 25 with around 12-15 as an average.I though the wine was quite expensive cheapest i saw was 16 TL and we paid from 20 TL and on one occasion 35. Its not really too much hassle re restaurant and bar people trying to drag you in compared to some places as they are very friendly and mostly polite. There is absolutely loads to do in and around and the dolmus can get you to ladies beach number 2 into town and then number 5 from there to ladies beach.(Just ask around and people will tell you where to get them.)Ladies beach is lovely and the whole area of kusadasi is very pretty. There are a couple of waterparks and also Ephesus is easily reached by tour operators or by taxi. The taxis may not be the best option as you have no guide. If you visit Ephesus you really need an umbrella or a hat for shade it is absolutely boiling and there is very little shade. We really enjoyed the place and may revisit as we didnt have time to do all we wanted in one week. The hotel served our purpose ,no real complaints, we would possibly go back but would book independantly for a better deal.Liked the fact that it was abit of a stroll back from the restaurants at the bottom of the hill but this may be too much for some people who dont enjoy a walk however dolmus and taxis are everywhere so easily available.I would recommend the hotel if the price is cheap.Food available at the hotel too up until about 11 pm i think but not a restaurant as such.
