“Excellent Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2009

Just arrived back from the Flora Suites after having the best time!
For the money that you pay it is brilliant. If you are going to a hot country you have to expect the odd fly or two when it comes to food! We had a 5 year old with us and she loved it. If you are going to another country you should expect to eat their food! There was plenty of choice for everyone.
The staff were brilliant and ever so friendly and would do anything for you. Good with the children too which is great. For staff that worked 15 hour days having only 1 day off every 2 weeks they were full of beans and never miserable. Prehaps it is the language barrier.
Anyone who has had a bad time at this hotel is probably expecting to much. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.
Brilliant time would dfinately go back and would reccomend to anyone. Worst part of the trip was coming home.
Thanks to Eddie and the team for making our holiday so fab!!

"Had a great all inclusive 2 weeks at this hotel (26 july to 9 aug 2009). A very good Turkish 3* Hotel with great facilities for all ages. . Food very good . Staff was verry friendly and would go out of there way to help you.missing them lots . are tv was broke but soon as we told them they replaced it . This hotel is great vaue for money, (drank more than £20 worth of soft drinks and coffee before lunch!!). The time of year was verry hot but no problems. . wanted to stay longer but jue to work had to come home. But we have decided to go back in a few weeks GREAT HOTEL AND EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY ( DEFENTLY HIGHER THAN A 3* SHOCKED WHEN I HEARED )

When booking this hotel we were informed it was a friendly family hotel for holiday makers, we paid for all inclusive so only had to take spending money, well all i can say if your turkish or greek then maybe, but as like my family and one other being english in this hotel was the worst thing ever, they were unfriendly, unco-operative and basically bloody rude, this hotel does not cater for the english , the food was awful my daughter went without for 2 days till we went out of resort and paid for her to eat elsewhere and the food was covered in flies all the time, they were having a feast at our expense. The all inclusive is deceiving you had to even pay for juice for the children which i found disgusting, we had broken fridge, broken locks on door and no clean towels changed for most of the week,we spoke to a manager wasnt brothered really, told us well unfortunately 90% of turkish dont like the bristish, charming so if you want to feel totally isolated , intimated , depressed and starve then this is the hotel for you ,otherwise stay clear of it .Absolutely appalling

Reading the reviews we were a bit horrified of what to expect when we arrived but the food was delicious, there was always something different to eat for the main meals, the staff were superb and couldn't do enough for us and the kids were so sad to leave the animation rep and the kids club rep behind they involved them in mini club and mini disco . we had pool games water polo and volley ball matches. Our rooms were cleaned every day with clean bedding. We stayed for 2 weeks but I could of easily stayed onther week, We made some fantastic friends and have gr8 memories and I am alredy looking for next year xx

Having never been abroad at all, I didn't really have any expectations, except that I knew it was cheap so obviously wasn't expecting top notch.

Arrived very early on the Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised by the room. I was expecting a bedroom. We got a kitchen/living room/dining room, bedroom and bathroom. Nice big space, clean, just the job. Air con worked and didn't have to pay extra for it. End of the hotel with balcony overlooking trees and plants. Brill, give 4/5. Only reason it doesn't get the extra point is because the shower door was broken and the bathroom ended up getting soaked every day.

Pool was nice and clean - staff gave a good effort to keeping the floor around the pool dry to stop the kids from slipping. Limited sunbeds - if you want one, you have to get up at 6am to put your towel down. That was a big downfall, so is why I am only giving the pool area 3/5.

Pool bar is the only bar but staff were very friendly and spoke relatively good english. Helped us out with every thing that we asked, whether that be somewhere to sit at dinner during the busy times, or a seat in the sun during the day. The wine was awful - tasted like vinegar - but the vodka and beer flowed freely. Choice ofnormal or diet pepsi which I didn't expect. Closed at 11pm on the dot, which was disappointing but the lads had been working since 7am so I couldn't blame them for not giving any leeway. You can pay for drinks after that time and there is a disco down in the grounds if you fancy it.

Restaurant was disappointing. It wasn't big enough for the hotel and although the food was edible, it wasn't great. Don't even think about it if you are veggie unless you want rice and chips every night. Some stuff was fab but the majority of it (especially the salads) was poor.

After dinner, entertainment was usually put on and it was great. Dancers, actors, magicians etc. Couldn't fault the entertainment. However, it was done around the pool bar with extremely limited seating. Very unsafe with the alcohol that was flowing and the nearness of the pool.

Went to the beach once - we walked there which is a bit of a trek and caught the shuttle back. It's ok but I'm not much of a beach person, so haven't really got much of an opinion.

Lots of restaurants in Kusadasi do free pick-up services. They will pick you up from the hotel at the time you ask, and bring you back whenever you like before 1.30am, as long as you eat at their restaurant. It was great because the shops are open all night, so you can eat, go shopping, drink and then get taken back. And it's not as hot so shopping is more enjoyable. We did this a couple of times and it was fab. I would recommend Murphy's and Golden Boys.

Excursions - Regal travel agency did the excursions and they were brill. Great representative. I would ring them for a airport transfer as they do it for £10 pp return. We went to the Turkish night, which was great for the entertainment. Good spread of food. However, had to wait until the whole table had finished their mains before I got my veggie dish. Also, you pay for food and drinks up front but they weren't very forthcoming with the drinks. They are meant to wait on you but there wasn't enough staff so my husband had to go up to them 5-6 times, which meant he missed a lot of the show. He still managed to get pretty drunk though!! It was good but I wouldn't spend that much money on it again. We also went to Adaland. Again, good but limited shade and they dropped you off there for 8 hours! I got blistered legs and sunstroke. The slides were good though. Also, you have to pay a £5 deposit for a card which you have to load your money onto. They don't tell you this though so make sure you do it as you enter the park. Also, you can load onto it and you get the remainder back when you give the card back.

The market on a Weds is fab - make sure you go! It is really easy to get the bus from outside Kipa into Kusadasi (you can also do this for shopping in the eve if you don't want to eat out - they run until 12am). It costs 2 lira per person each trip. If you need to find the bus in the town to go back, show your hotel band and people will point you in the right direction.

There were quite a few English people at the hotel but we were defo the minority. Really nice people that we had a laugh with and spent time with. One couple let us use their shower in their room before we left for the airport as we had already checked out of ours. Because you are the minority, and because the English like to moan, we felt bonded together by this - it was great!

My husband and I played table football, tennis, wall ball ad ping pong as part of the all inclusive deal and it kept us busy. We paid to play billards as well which was fine.

All in all, I would say that Flora would be nicer if it was spruced up a bit, but I couldn't fault the staff and the rooms were clean (the maid came every day by the way). For the price, I didn't think it was that bad and I'm sure that there are a lot worse places out there.

I would go again, so it can't be as bad as some people are making out now can it?!

This is the 3 rd time I have travelled with Scottravel and have to commend them especially with excel going down, they handled it so professionally they were the only ones to offer another flight keeping our holiday secure with no extra cost.

The flora suits were very good value for money, I see a few negative comments some people just complain about everything we had a great stay there, the hotel rooms were clean, the food in all inclusive was up to the normal standard one would expect from Turkey. I can understand dissapointment in the food, if you are used to traveling to spain. Turkish all inclusive is not typically suited to the english pallate we like to eat food from the country we are travelling too. There was a mixture of nationalities which we also enjoy, a change of scenery is what we go for.

Just got back from this hotel, not sure what the other reviewers want for there money. If you take off the price of the flight and transfers you were paying £10 each a day for all inclusive. The 1st room had a small leak in the bathrom, as soon as we mentioed it the following day we were moved immediately. As for being miles from nowhere, all I can say is that we new this before we went. Every site we went onto clearly stated 6km from Kusidasi, if you wanted to be i Kusudasi pay that little bit extra!!!
Yes the place could do with a little tlc but this is the end of the season and most hotels look a little worn by then. As for nothing around the hotel, well a 5 minute walk takes you onto the main road where there are a couple of cafes, a hypermarket, a turkish version of toys r us and a burgerking. As for the facilities you wouldn't expect so much at a 4 star. Lovely large grounds, mini golf, water slides, basketball coourt, tennis court etc. As we said earlier a bit of a tidy up needed but overall fantastic. Yes food limited but more than edible and plenty for all. Yes we would go back and at this time of year as lovely and quiet, had a great chill out and met some lovely people (and not just from the uk) 2 lovely german families, and found the staff excepionally friendly.
Extremely good value for money. If you want 5 star please pay for it. Don't expect a 3 star to be more than it is
