“Great Hotel, Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Returned on the 31 August after 2 week family holiday (2 adults & children 14 & 11) at the Paloma Oceana. Overall very impressed with the Hotel and all the family loved the time we spent there. Hotel was very clean, pools gardens and grounds were immaculate, bungalow room was very comfortable. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and very hard working!
Food throughout the stay was excellent, wide range of hot and cold dishes at each mealtime, very well presented and prepared, found choosing what dish to have the most difficult aspect of the holiday!
Special mention for the Piano Bar & Patisserie, staff in both were excellent and really looked after us, we tried every cocktail and the latte and cakes were to die for.
Kids loved the pools and slides,( green slide very quick!)there was a full range of activities with the animation team throughout the day if that is your thing, and some entertaining shows in the evenings,
Would happily book again for another stay, this hotel does work hard to make sure you enjoy your stay!

Spent a week here in August (4 adults & 2 children 12 & 10) & what an excellent hotel this is. Stayed in the bungalow rooms which were very nice, clean with a daily re-stocked fridge,
The food was really good with an excellent choice at all meal times throughout our stay. The a la carte restaurants were also excellent with the staff both helpful & friendly.
The whole place was kept clean throughout with the beach area even raked daily.
I would recommend this hotel to families & couples.

We originally booked to stay at Sentido Perrissia, but on arrival at the airport we were told by Thomas Cook rep that we were staying at Paloma Oceana due to sickness bug. Check in was quick, we were given a map of the grounds, taken to our room. The room was clean and spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children - massive super king bed. Decor was modern and tasteful. Massive shower unit which unfortunately did leak a lot. After I had a serious fall due to slippery floor we decided to call reception who sent someone up straight away, they resealed the shower tray - no more leaking! (no bath in our room) Air con in the room was brilliant. The hotel is huge, gardens are well kept, plenty of swimming pools however you do need to get up early to reserve a sun lounger (we saw quite a few people putting towels down just after midnight) kids loved the water slides which are managed by life guards. All the pools have lifeguards - Yasemin one of the lifeguards was our favourite.
You will not go hungry, food is available 24 hours a day. Food in the main restaurant is of good quality, nicely displayed and fresh looking. There are different themes each night such as Mexican, Turkish and seafood to name a few (amazing garlic king prawns and fresh fish) food at the beach bar is good as well.
Unfortunately we did have to visit the doctor in the hotel as our son aged 7 fell out of bed at 5am and caught his eye on the coffee table in our room and the injury would not stop bleeding. The service we received was outstanding. We were transported to the local hospital in an ambulance, had a translator at the hospital and 4 stitches later we were taken back to our hotel. Not cheap but very efficient - thank goodness for holiday insurance.
The entertainment is good. The beach bar turns into a disco later on in the evening - good music too!
Our rep Natalie from Thomas Cook was very helpful as we did have a bit of a dilemma because we were meant to be with another 4 families staying at Perrissia, they booked with another holiday company who transferred them to a different hotel so got separated from them. Natalie did all she could to help us, including trying to transfer us to their hotel. After visiting the other hotel we decided to stay at Paloma Oceana. So we only got to see our friends a couple of times - not what we had planned!
We would highly recommend this hotel.

My family, wife and I, daughter (14), son (9) had a great holiday at the Paloma Oceanea. Our room was in the main hotel and we had plenty of space.
The food was excellent and there was lots of it. We tried the Turkish, Mexican and Fish Resturant's, all very good with good service. A cake and decorated table was provided on my sons birthday at no extra cost.
It is a truly international hotel which we like but may not be to all tastes.
The beach is very good, my son enjoyed the kids beach football. Also there are no sharp stones and pebbles on the waterline which we found painful at other Turkish resorts.
There is a shop run by a decent guy called Ollie, forgive the spelling. My daughter bought some headphones from him which she is very pleased with.
There are plenty of shops outside the hotel which sell very cheap popular "branded" huddies etc. worth a look certainly for teenagers.
We went on a jeep safari. Great fun.
The pools and water slides were very good. The green slide takes your breath away.
We traveled with Thomas Cook. The rep, Natalie is very knowledgeable and helpful.
The plane was big and we had plenty of leg room.
We will probably return to the hotel and/or try another Paloma hotel.
Thank you Paloma for a great holiday.

Our group (2 families with children aged 6, 9, 13 & 16) spent 2 weeks at the beginning of August and we were very impressed. Having been to the Hilton Dalaman last year, which was really good, we were concerned that this hotel may not be as good - however we were not disappointed. The hotel and grounds are spotless and the majority of the staff are really helpful & efficient. On arrival our rooms were not ready due to an error with the bookings, but we were provided with standard rooms for our first night and then were upgraded to family connection rooms (massive!) and also the Hotel Manager gave us some vouchers for use at any of the payable a la carte restaurants, so whilst we were initially disappointed, the way they handled this and how they compensated us made up for this.
I would agree with most of the positive points people have included in their reviews and so won't repeat them all - suffice to I really can't comprehend those people who don't feel this is a 5 star hotel or who have made negative reviews - I would say ignore them! The food quality was excellent and there were always different dishes available each night (as well as a number of dishes being available all the time, which is often helpful for kids!). Of the a la carte restaurants, we went to the Mexican (Sante Fe), Chinese (Lotus), Italian (Seasons) and Turkish (Saffran) and enjoyed the food in them all.
Some evenings we watched the shows, which were a mixture of International acts and those done by the animation team and generally they were good. Most nights there was also a band in the Aqua bar (after the show) on until 12pm. This was ideal for us as the children's park was right next to the bar, so my 6 year old played happily in there while we sat in the bar & she wasn't far away.
Billy's Watersport's on the beach is worth a visit - we went a few times (banana boat, paragliding, fishing trip) and would particularly recommend the speed boat trip to see turtles- they stop and you can get off the boat and snorkel and the driver makes sure you see some, which was amazing!
We also went on a full day boat trip with 'Tobias Boat Trips - Captain Metin' - this was from Manavgat (you can get a bus from outside the hotel and is about 20 mins). Once we had been there to book it, they picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off in the evening on the day of our trip. We had the whole boat to ourselves (8 of us) and they provided lunch. We stopped at the side of the river for a while and the kids were thoroughly entertained leaping off the boat into the fresh water (freezing cold) river! He then took us into the sea, so we could do some fishing. We returned back as the sun was setting which was lovely.
When you walk outside the hotel there are plenty of shops to browse round - we did go into Side (again bus stops outside the hotel), which was nice to see the old town and ruins but the shops there are just more of the same and we found they were more expensive than at Kumkoy.
So, in summary, if you are looking for a top quality all inclusive resort on the beach, with plenty of activities and evening entertainment, then we would definitely recommend this hotel.

We visited the Paloma for the 3rd consecutive time and were not dissapointed. The staff are friendly and do all they can to make sure you have a great time from the room cleaners to the bar staff. I do understand that if you have a problem you need English speaking staff but there are always some around to help and this is a international hotel after all!

If you want a holiday where you can relax and know that the kids will be safe and happy in a beautiful ,clean and well kept Hotel then this is for you.

If you are expecting waiter service at your loungers and all the extra's then pay for the Villa's if you want an all inclusive with nothing else to spend your money on then the Paloma will meet all your expectations for great value for money.

Give it a try. We will again next year.

Room Tip: The Bungalow rooms although smaller than the main Hotel are just as well done out and lower down and...

Our family of 5, which included our three children aged from 8 - 15 have just returned from the Paloma Oceana. This was our first holiday abroad for four years so we were hoping for good things. I have to say this was the best holiday we've ever had and for the first time none of us were desperate to get home, we could have quite happily stayed another week! The location was perfect; we were really impressed with how hard the ground staff worked to keep the gardens looking immaculate. All facilities were excellent; the staff were courteous, friendly and ALWAYS happy to help. We found no communication problems with any of the staff, although German was the more dominant language spoken. There was a varied mix of nationalities staying at the hotel. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there and having left his cards displayed in the room he was thrilled to discover when we returned that the staff had provided him complimentary wine and fruit! We were really impressed that all the pools and the beach had lifeguards in attendance and when there were pool games taking place, even in the splash pool a lifeguard was always there. Our two daughters really enjoyed the Mini-Club, the activities were varied, entertaining and well structured by the very hard working team. When they weren't here they were at the slide pool. Because there was so much for them to do it meant that we as parents had the opportunity to relax and not worry too much about their safety. Although there are several restaurants on the complex we used the Paloma Resturant each night. The food was varied and plentiful and even our children could find something different each night! I would suggest that you eat inside this restaurant as it is strictly non-smoking unlike the annex area outside. We stayed in one of the Family Connection rooms and the beds were so comfy the children wanted to bring them home! The room was clean and airy, with plenty of storage space and there was no extra charge for the mini-bar. We had a lovely view over one of the pools. If you wanted to bag a prime spot by any of the pools and wanted to beat the Europeans you would need to be up at the same time as the call for morning prayer! There are enough beds and brollies for all guests but no holiday would be complete without a sunbed challenge! If you go out to the shopping areas next to the hotel the currency widely used is the Euro. Turkish Lira is used so if you take this have your conversion hat on when you go out. Beach towels are provided and can be swapped daily if needed, we found this made a massive difference to how much we could get in our cases. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would be only too glad to return.
