“Top quality hotel, very friendly and welcoming.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

After booking a very budget holiday for 2 weeks at the end of September i was expecting a very budget hotel but this surpassed all expectations.
The staff were very friendly and spoke great English, and were willing to teach Turkish to me and a friend too.
Seyda in reception was amazing, always helpful and enjoyed a pleasant conversation and i hope she enjoys her time off afterabusy and hectic summer.
Mehmet the main bar man was an absolute soldier, always bubbly too and getting really involved and having fun on Turkish night along with the chef who i believe is also called Mehmet.
Simon another of the barmen was a querky character but a barrell of laughs i must say, little jokes here and there he was great fun to be around.
The maids were very polite and provided a great service and cleaned the rooms with fresh towels daily, and i'm sure if you asked they would have gone out of their way to get something for you too.
Entertainment in the hotel was good with a Turkish night on a Tuesday and BBQ night on a Saturday along with Karaoke, fire breathers, belly dancer, staff dancing it was all superb.

Side itself as a resort i feel has very little but give it time and i am sure it will grow into a fantastic tourist area, if this hotel could be picked up and put in Marmaris it would fit right in and provide an excellent base for the night life that Marmaris offers.

9.5/10 from me easily

Loved everyone at the hotel, especially Seyda in reception ;)
Would love to return in a few years after the development of Side abit.

Traditionally run hotel. My sister and I went for a girlie week and had a great time. Staff friendly and helpful and couldnt do enough for us. Contrary to other comments we found the owner to be a lovely turkish gentleman. Cosmos rep, Jo, was Fantastic and best rep I have come across, informatuve without being pushy. I will be returning with my husband. We did See "ladies" sat outside a nearby bar but if we hadnt seen reviews we would have Had no idea that they were ladies of the night.

We have stayed here a few years running and have aways enjoyed our stay here, the staff are always extra pleasant and extremely helpful, and make you feel very welcome, this year we had originally booked the oz side hotel just to try something different and have to say that our stay there was absolutely horrendous and would never step foot in the oz side hotel ever again,so we relocated all of our family after only 4 days of the oz side to the place we love ( gazipasa) hotel to spend the rest of our 10 day holiday and yet again were treated like royalty from start to finish and have already rebooked for next year.

Have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Pasa Star. After reading some of the reviews on tripadvisor I began to wonder if we had made a mistake booking this hotel, but on arrival soon discovered what a lovely hotel it is.Ok the rooms were on the small side and fairly basic but if you want 5* you pay 5* prices. The room was cleaned daily, bed and towels changed and the very friendly cleaner made different shapes with the bed cover every day.The pool was a nice size and cleaned daily, if you wanted a change from the pool the free bus ran 3 times daily to the beach where the sunbeds were also free. They expected you to buy a drink or food but didn't come by hassling you to buy anything.
The only thing we bought in the little shop at the Pasa was a large bottle of water, at 2 T Lira I don't think we could have bought it cheaper in a supermarket. The prices for everything in the shop were on a list on the wall so I don't see how they could vary the prices from day to day.
The hotel was situated near to several good resturants and to shops,we liked the Sultan and Flying Horse,The Red Lion was also good food but slightly more expensive, we were however disappointed with Butchers.
It was a steady 30 minutes walk down to the harbour.
We did hear the mosque some mornings but we soon went back to sleep,as for the red lightdistrict, we were in the dance bar along the road from the hotel until after midnight most nights and never saw anything.I was told It did go on in the area but under cover.
Now for my niggles, breakfast was the same every morning, scrambled eggs would have made a nice change. The sunbeds round the pool were free but it was 5 TL for 2 matteress. There were no glasses in the bathroom.
I wouldn,t hesitate to recommend the hotel and would certainly return.

This hotel saved our holiday!!
I have a family of 9 (Four adults five children), We were booked in to the OZ hotel but this was a horrible hotel ,and at times a little frightening, our saviour was the GAZI PASA STAR - and the staff within it.
THE GAZPASA, or little family as we like to think , were quite simply brilliant – they made it for us.. from the cleaners /reception staff to the waiters and bar staff.
Air conditioning - yes this worked really well… went to freezing if you set it!
Everyday clean towels/beds changed/floors cleaned, cleaners would come back later if you asked.
Bar staff – could not do enough for you. Even if you went to the bar, they would still bring it to your table.
Entertainment:
Turkish night, incredible food and wonderful dancing, fire eaters, walking/laying on glass. belly dancing and karaoke. It was good got all the holiday makers involved.

Reception : - very good English, would call you a taxi, direct you to nearby attractions/shops banks etc.
Food : The menu boasted a wealth of choices was varied to all palates’ (one of us is a vegetarian) We found different things to eat every night.

Hotel is well situated near a supermarket/excursion agent /pharmacy/hospital and banks – everything that you may need – all of this within a ten minute walk.
Water Slides.. on all the time!
Despite a previous comment: Fridge does stay on after you take the key out.. ( I thought this and tested it!)
We were marooned by Thomas cook and this Hotel saved us.. They even organized our transfer for us as Thomas Cook would not accommodate the hotel change.
I would like to say a big Thank-you to everyone at the GAZI PASA you made our holiday and will see you next year!

Just returned from Pasa Star ( 01-oct-2013 ) 4 of us stayed there and could not have been made more welcome by Mehmet and the boys in the bar and the dining room for breakfast.Had about a 10 minute walk to the beach and prices very reasonable for beach front.made the mistake of having a drink at the market in Magnavat.1 bottle of Efes 50cl got charged 18 lira!!!!! and a glass of pomegranate juice 17 lira!!!!! Avoid like the plague. Mosque opposite hotel goes off rather early, but that is their religion of which we have no control.Had a couple of english lads named Gary and Carlo staying there decided to have arguement in the morning and kept everyone awake. Overall well worth the stay
