“FANTASTIC HOLIDAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2010

We have just got back after 14 nights at the Turquoise , what a fantastic hotel. The staff were so friendly and could'nt do enough for you. the animation team were brilliant and BiBi was fab with the kids. We tried out the Italian A La Carte restaurant and is was superb, you really felt that you were out having a nice meal in a restaurant and the service was 100% committed to make you feel special. our 8 year old daughter loved it and met some little friends, we rarely saw her all day she only came back to get more sun lotion on. It is a great safe place for kids. There are 4 pools and and even an indoor pool which we used every day about 5pm to 6pm just to cool down after a day of sunbathing as the water is there was so cool and lovely to wind down in at the end of the day. The food was brilliant and there was always something for everyone. Cocktails were good too, there was a lobby bar which was open 24hours where the air conditioning in there is so cool and refreshing after an evening outside. The shows were good and they even involved the kids from the MINI CLUB to star in some of them . The only negative I have was queuing for your place at the A La Carte restaurant, I was the 3rd in the queue one morning and a gentleman in front of me booked approx 30 places in the restaurant for himself and his friends....... Hence I was unable to get a booking for us so I had to queue again the next morning. WE will definately be returning again.... Great Holiday and met some really nice people.

Our first time in Turkey our first all inc...it was amazing....super rooms....pool villa...lovely quiet pool to sit by with our own sunbeds with our room number on them just by a cafe and bar which we ate breakfast at rather than the main buffet....food everywhere was excellent..fresh,lots of choice and well presented. All staff were polite and helpful even though they must have been tired out....they all semed to work all day every day and in the heat and humidity that cant be easy !! Our teens loved the teen "club" and games and been able to take part in 2 of the evening shows...there were hugs and tears when they had to say goodnye to their new friends...thanks goodness for facebook !! Everything was all inclusive even the mini bars in our rooms were filled with bottled water beers and pepsi...and we drank alot of water !! The whole hotel was spotless from the public loos to the rooms and the various pools....the beach isnt the best ive seen although to be fair it was clean and the sea very warm. It could be noisy in the main buffet but it was August and it wasnt an issue to us although i probably wouldnt choose the hotel if i was wanting romanitc couple time..but for families of kids of all ages or family groups youd be hard pressed to find better . Tip....if you like a lay in or like us have teens who seem to only be able to lay in -then put the Do Not Disturb sign on your door when you go to bed ..on our first day we were woken at 8am by the maid- which is a little early !

We stayed in the new part of the complex which was based up at the back near the main road. It took 10 mins down to reception and the beach but we didn't hear any of the traffic due to double glazing. We also had 2 rooms, with 2 televisions and had safety deposit box which was reasonable in price. The walk down was very pleasant as you pass the turkish restaurant and bar which is free. Wide selection of choice in food but the 4 A La Carte restaurants quite good except fish restaurant. Please note there is a 24hour bar near reception which we did not find until the last day. Although beach not the widest in sand the 2 pontoons provide an alternative to staying near the pool or on the beach. Some games go on near the pool but not intrusive. Childrens Club seemed to be getting used. If you are put to the back of the resort you can order little golf carts to take you up to the rooms. Entertainment is maybe not to everyone's choice but filled a few hours at night time. Great mixture of cocktails to be had at the bars. Local buses pass the hotel every 15 mins into Side harbour but be aware there is another part of Side which looks very like Blackpool but to each their own. We travelled n May and weather was really good for a week, however a couple days were dull.

Arived at the hotel to be met by cold glass of champagne... just what i neede after travelling with two teenagers, two young boys and an overworked husband. Shown to our two rooms, out in the blocks at the back of the hotel and they were superb. We had two family rooms which consist of two double rooms and a bathroom. Teenage girls loved having their own independance. The hotel is immaculate, from the gardens to the resteraunt to the toilets. Staff couldnt be more helpful (although found ice cream lady rather miserable)
The sun bed situation was rather tiresome....You have to be down poolside by 8.15am to get a pitch and sit there until 9.00 or your towels are removed. First day we got there at
8.50 and had to drag beds off the beach so we could watch the boys in the pool.
Food was second to none, with ample choice(even 2 picky teenagers found something they liked!!!)
The kids are desperate to return next year, but im afraid i found the amount of people (1,300) a bit much too handle. (Just my personal thing. I prefer own villa and a bit of peace!!!) Although must say that due to size of the place everyone was quite spread out.
For a family holiday, you couldnt beat this hotel, there was something for everyone. Never saw 8year old all day as he made so many friends....none english....they were a bit few on the ground!
No one has mentioned the humidity....never having been to turkey before wasnt prepared for this. According to chaps in hotel, its humid until August when it really heats up. We got used to it, and the air conditioning in the rooms was a godsend, but a walk from the pool to your room would leave you dripping! Light loose clothes essential.
Had a fab time with lots of great memories and would return again if only half the people!!!

Having just come back fromt his hotel, all I can say is that I LOVED IT!

I did not want to leave at all and was asd whe I did after only staying there for 1 week

Everything about the hotel is great from the rooms, to the pools, to the entertainment, staff food, everything.

The entertainment team have activities daily to suit what everyone likes to do or if you like me a good game of Darts!

The food has something for everyone, with a wide choise, and each night the meain restraunt has a diffrent theme.

I can recomend you try the Turquoise Special Cocktail it is yumm!

The hotel also has pool towel where you can get fresh towels each day.

At night, the entertainment team have diffrent shows on I would highly recomend that you see the,, the team are great, do a very hard job and long hours and still each night mange to pool off a show full of dancing etc, the best shows I seen where the Comedy Show, Lion Ling and Micheal Jackson This Is It

I recoment this hotel to any age grousp due to everything the hotel has to offer.

What more can I say we stayed there for 2 weeks and had a brilliant time I always worry about the food when staying at an all in one hotel, no worries the food and choice was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly and willing to help. We walked along the beach to the nearby town of Side several times which took about 40 minutes. while there we booked a trip via a local travel agent to Cappadocia which was very interesting the only down side was the hotel we stayed if for the two nights compared the the excellent Turquoise is was a bit rough but we survived with no ill effect except a hang over!!

Having just returned from the Turquoise Hotel for the 5th consecutive year we can fully recommend this hotel. The food is outstandingly excellent ! dont believe anyone who tells you otherwise, if anyone tells you the food is poor & repetative there is something drastically wrong with them and they are the type of people who go along in life complaining for the sake of it. The choice is unbelievable, the only thing i have noticed this year is the choice of deserts seems to have dwindled, there was probably 40 different deserts to choose from in previous years and only around 20 this year, also at coffee and cake time 5pm - 6pm at the snack bar this as also dwindled with just half a dozen cakes to choose from and its now self service, in previous years it was served to u. I agree with other holiday makers, that the rooms in the main building are now looking very tired, the carpets really do need re newing, other than that, the beds are comfortable and exceptionally clean. The maids work extremely hard and they do deserve a tip, please remember them ! The gardens are beautiful and you can see the gardeners working very hard all day long to keep them that way. The staff are excellent and work a gruelling 12 hour day to pamper to your needs, the waiters deserve every tip you give them for working tirelessly. The choice of drinks is impressive with many cocktails, all dressed with fruit and yes you do get drunk if uhave to many (laffin) The evening entertainment for adults is not what it should be, there is room for improvement, however they do put a lot of shows on in the ampitheatre but over the years i get the impression the kids enjoy these more than the adults. Grips, well i have only 2, the air conditioning in the main building is poor , compared to a room allocated in the newer more up to date bungalows at the back of the hotel, so its catch 22, u stay in the main building to b nearer 2 the restaurant, bars, pool & entertainment and cop for poor air conditioning or if you are placed in the more modern bungalows, the air con is fab, but you have further to walk for the amenities. my last grip which seems to have really rankled me this year is the relax pool is strictly for over 16 yet some people still choose to ignore this, even when this is pointed out to them , parents sit reading a book whilst they let there children play in this pool, this pool is called RELAX for a reason, the other pools are for the kids, take them there and you tow with them !
