“FANTASTIC HOTEL - WE HAD A TRULY FABULOUS HOLIDAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2011

We booked this holiday as our parents spent 2 weeks there last year and thoroughly recommended it..... even although I was not too pleased when my wife booked a trip to Turkey over Mexico for my birthday this hotel did not disappoint in any way.

Pre arrival we emailed the hotel to request an a-la carte booking for our 5th wedding anniversary which was met positively by the hotel who booked us a lovely meal in the Italian. The personal touch was continued on our anniversary day with flowers delivered to room and a beautiful table set and welcome at the restaurant.

The hotel is about 70 mins from the airport and as we arrived in the middle of the night we were dropped off at the maiin road and ferried to the reception on a buggy, where we were greeted with a champagne and cold towel whilst we checked in with the lovely staff.

We had a room in the villa area which we preferred (had a feeling of exclusivity to it) and was set in the perfectly maintained mature gardens and pine forrest.

The room was large, tiled floors and tv with a few English speaking channels and music. Mini-bar replinished daily with soft drinks (maybe bottles of beer could have been included like other hotels I have been to). The room was very modern and very comfortable and SPOTLESS and remained that way due to the attentive cleaner each day. The bed was very comfortable and aircon was quiet and digitally controlled.

It was a 5 min walk to the reception / beach / pools from villa rooms and again through beautiful gardens.

Restaurants - main buffet restaurant is spotless with a wide variety of food on offer every night with themed evenings throughout our stay. Outside there were food stations cooking freshly prepared / cooked to order foods. Having stayed at a large number of all inclusive resorts (including Sandals Grande St Lucian - at a heavy cost!) I can honestly say that Hotel Turquoise is the best food / drink package i have had in an all-inclusive hotel outwith Sandals!! The food was splendid. We ate at 2 of the a-la-carte restaurants - Italian and Chinese and both were fantastic - airconed and splendid service, we did not go to Turkish as it was near our room and outside (temperatures were in 40's when we were there!). I would have loved the fish but my wife didn't fancy it but heard great reviews of it.

For lunch we went to the snack area where you could dine in more relaxed atomosphere to buffet main restaurant (ie topless for men) which was welcome in heat. Kids ate at the kids snack area some days which had the usual chips, burgers, nuggets sausages and lovely ice cream.

Drinks are of reasonable quality, red wine is best I have had all-inclusive (outwith Sandals) and its 24 hours should you wish it.

Staff are so friendly and attentive throughout every area of the hotel (only 1 person was not - owner of the sub let market and toy shop who barred us due to our 18 month old daring to touch a toy car (no damage / disruption caused "NO BUY NO TOUCH" was his quote as he forgot that we had spent about £100 in his shop in first week!!, on pointing this out I was ordered out his overpriced shop so we used the one in hotel next door or SIDE). A few other guests commented on how abrupt he was. He is not hotel staff ..... THEY ARE ALL FANTASTIC.

Kids club staff are brilliant with kids.

Beach is lovely and well maintained, hotel is right on beach front and it is a 25 min walk along beach to SIDE where you will find restaurants, town and shops. There is a regular bus service to Mangavat and SIDE (every 10 - 15 mins and only costs about 80p each way). Both towns worth a visit.

Hotel puts on shows every 2nd night in Ampitheatre wish are good and there is usually live music on in main bar area (although not every night which is a pity).

Swimming pools are very clean and the Aquapark is great for kids..... ok and for adults.

Would we recomment this hotel or go back.......???? Most definetly.

Well done to the management and staff for a very professionally run hotel, with excellent staff.

It is a 5 stars hotel, near sea, in a pine forest. Most of the staff was very polite and could speak both english end german. Rooms are always clean but some times it smells bad. We could not understand its reason. There are 3 pools. One is big, and two others are smaller. One of the small ones, is reserved just for the use of villas. Sea is clean but weavy and rocky. its difficult to swim for beginners. In the high season, hotel is very crowded. All inclusive system restaurant is turkish and international buffet. There are four a la carte restaurants which are highly demanded. If you have chance, you can try one or two of them in a week.

Love this hotel been twice already. Stayed all inclusive. The hotel is lovely and clean, nice staff, good food beach location. The gardens are very tropical looking. Could not find fault with this hotel.
Would recommend it to anyone.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2011

We arrived on the 8th July 2011 at about 23.00 hours, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and cold flannel, the check in was nice, they sit down and explain everything, and then the porter takes you to your room. Because we missed tea they put sandwiches in your room, but they did have food still in the restaurant until midnight.
The bar in the reception area is 24/7 and there is also free wifi. The rooms are nice and spacious we stayed in the main hotel which is over 3 floors and there are lifts. The bed was comfortable plenty wardrobe space, flat screen TV with loads channels including news, music and two film channels. There is a safe in the room which was 2 euro’s a day. There was a bath with shower over which was ok and hot. There is a mini bar with pepsi, fanta and water in it. Air conditioning in the room was really good especially when it was 47 degrees outside. Only thing I did not really like in the room was it had carpet, but you can live with that.
There were other apartments located around the grounds, some had their own private pools which were nice if you wanted the peace and quiet.
The main pool area is where all the action is in the daytime, water polo, killer darts, football, water aerobics, step aerobics, pool games. The animation team were lovely very good at what they do and work long hours. There is another pool for adults only but this was quiet shaded, this is near the indoor pool, gym and spa. The pool was lovely and warm except the indoor pool was cold. There were loads of sun beds and umbrellas by the pool and on the beach, towels are located by the pool and get fresh daily. You are not allowed to put towels on the sun beds before 9.00 am and leave them or they get removed.
The beach is nice but very stony as you enter the sea, and then there are two piers with sun bed’s and umbrellas on as well.
There are three slides into a swimming pool near another small children’s pool and the kids club, we never had any children with us, but they always looked like they were having fun, baking cakes, colouring in t-shirts. There are a few shops, clothes, bag, leather, hairdresser, and small shop with papers, sweets fairly expensive a newspaper was 2.50 Euros. There is a games room, computers are in the 24/7 bar which cost 3 euro an hour to use.
We had a stress massage for 50 minutes that cost 40 euro really nice, there is a hammam, steam room and sauna you can use for free.
The main restaurant has something for everyone, food inside and outside every day. There is also a Italian, Chinese, fish and Turkish, you can go to each one once, if you want to go anymore it cost 10 euro each, we went to the Italian and Chinese and they were fantastic especially the Chinese.
Outside at lunchtime there is another restaurant with chicken kebab, jacket potatoes, salad, and burgers then at 17.00 there is cake and coffee there. Another restaurant near the kids club had burgers, chicken nuggets and chips, also ice cream
There is a beach bar, pool bar, the sultan bar in the evening, then the 24/7 bar, and a bar near the kids club. Try the chocolate milk from the pool bar its lovely.
Entertainment started at 21.30 in the auditorium with different shows including Lion King, Snow White, Michael Jackson, there was a Garden Party on a Saturday night with some great performers, Live music and Karaoke nights, once the entertainment finished at 23.30 there was then the night club near kids club until 2.00 am.
There is nothing really around the hotel only if you walk along the beach to Side where there are loads of shops, you can get a bus outside the front of the hotel to Side for 1 euro each and it takes about 5-10 minutes to get there and it is really straightforward, otherwise you can get a taxi outside the front for 8 euro. (Whatever you buy from Side you have to barter with them to get a good price).
They use either Lira or Euro’s, as this was not our first time in turkey we prefer to use the euro, the duty free shop on return was all priced in Euros.
Staff bend over backwards to please you, they are so friendly. This hotel is exceptional and I can see why people return every year.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! As you come in off the main road, driving down the drive-way the gardens are incredibly well kept. When checking in the staff are excellent and will give you a free welcome cocktail. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is fantastic with a great selection and the evening entertainment is great.

Just one tip, we booked a boat trip with an excursion shop outside the hotel, the day of the trip the failed to pick us up and when we went to complain and get our money they denied knowing us!! We then booked a boat trip with the Thomas Cook rep and it was a great day out with no problems. Lesson learned for us, always book through the rep with a reputable company such as Thomas Cook!!
