Just returned from 2 weeks staying at the Barut Cennet and Acanthus in Side. The rooms are bright, fresh and very clean,we arrived early on a Friday morning due to flight delays and we were met by friendly staff and a bell boy who insisted on carrying our luggage for us. It was a lovely surprise to find a salad, bread and a plate of fresh fruit waiting for us.
We found the staff friendly, helpful and eager to please. The food was fantastic a wide range of salads and lovely freshly baked bread. A variety of meats cooked in the dinning room. The puddings were delicious. The hotel is cleaned to a high standard and ideally placed a 20 minute walk into the old town and a stroll down to the beach which is sandy and clean the sea is warm, plenty of sunbeds no need to put towels down the evening before or in the early hours of the morning.
There are a range of travel agencies to chose from for excursions, we used n-Keskin which was just place outside the hotel we went on 3 trips. The Cabrio bus safari which is well worth the 20E up in to the mountains to get a true picture of Turkey. We went on the Dolphin Island trip and lucky enough to see dolphins The green canyon is worth a visit if you want to see nature at it's best, on all the trips we had a lovely fresh salad for lunch.
A visit into side in the evenings is a lovely photo opportunity with the ruins all lit up.
To get the dolmus you need get onto the main road to flag them down to get into Side alto a walk along the beach in the evening is well worth it..
Take plenty of sun cream it is extremely hot
This hotel is a gem the garden is kept lovely you can sit in the shade under the trees, the pool is great for children with a bar serving refreshments.
A fab hotel providing fab service just relax and have a great holiday.

Room Tip: We had a room on the top floor in the cennet the A/C is provided and a must. The hotel very quiet

We stayed at the cennet hotel in Side from 3rd to13th July. We were very impressed. We arrived early hours of the morning and were surprised to find a lovely salad, fresh bread and fruit in our room. The location of the hotel is perfect, near enough to the old town to take a stroll in but far enough away to be peaceful. The large gardens are beautifully kept and a real pleasure to sit in. The beach is sandy and very safe. The food was very good with a fantastic choice, and we found the staff all very friendly and helpful.

The cennet is a lovely hotel, with a lovely pool, a lovely beach and some pretty decent food. What lets it down though is the way bar and waiting staff do not have time for the Brits. Instead are constantly running around after the German folk. I actually found most of them quite ignorant, even after they have accepted your tips all week.
Hotel was petty clean although we did have a problem with cockroaches.
Side os nice enough, but not enough for us to do. All the bars and restaurants are pretty much the same as the next.

The cennet entertainment was also pretty poor. A kids disco was on nightly, just a pity the kids had to speak German to understand it. After that the adult entertainment on lasted 30 minutes. Even though the sister hotel adjoined, had entertainment a lot longer.

Stayed here for a week 10th july on hb basis room was immaculate as was hotel and food, beach was lovely and sea was warm, about 15 min walk into old town plenty of restaurants on the way,if you book with thomson don't expect to see the rep didn't see her once,if you want to book excursions there's a guy just outside hotel we used and was very good although don't book the dolphin trip saw no dolphins just a day on a boat!!!! we did book a trip into the mountains which was lovely and probably cheaper than thomson, my only complaint is that people were smoking in the restaurant but altogether a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 612 was very clean and could see the sea twin room but pushed beds together housekeep...

We loved the hotel, the staff were very friendly, the room was good, daily maid service, towels changed whenever you like. Plenty of variety of food in the restaurant, lovely big salad selections, always choices of about 4 main courses and bar b q selections and wonderful deserts and fresh fruit. You could eat as much as you like, buffet style and half board included a couple of glasses of wine, which was very welcome. The staff are very laid back, entertainment good - tried Yoga classes, lots of activities if you wanted them. We could always find a bed on the beach or beside the pool. Pool was very clean, they seemed to be looking after it daily. The only thing we were surprised about was how busy Side is, it is a massive sprawl of hotels and people, mostly German or Russian. A bit too busy for us.

It was quiet when we stayed. Self catering App was basic but did the Job!
Right next To swimming Pool so great for the kids. Beach was fine, beautiful stroll into Side. Kebab stalls good for a yummy cheap chicken wrap. Market worth a visit. Also hired a car And went To some amazing sites.
Found a Patesserie that did the most amazing cakes And Chocolate!!
Photo guy Eddie is a bit of a rip off, so beware. Close To everything you would need, short stroll To main road, buses And resterants like Pida!!
Very friendly And Side is absolutely beautiful at sun set around the ruins.
