“Good base”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2011 via mobile

This is what it says in the title, a good base. The staff are overworked but very friendly and helpful apart from fatty behind the bar. Pool is best in the area and if economy is what you are after this is definitely the place for you.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2011

We have just returned from a holiday at these apartments,Please think twice about taking children here.We took our 4 year old grandson with us,and couldnt believe what happened,We went back to our room 1 day and the cleaner had been in to clean our room!!!!!(THE 1ST AND ONLY TIME SHE DID CLEAN IT ON OUR 12 NIGHT STAY) Our grandson picked up a water bottle to drink, but it wasnt water the cleaner had left her cleaning solution in our room,After we complained we were told that app they use water bottles for their cleaning solutions so they can water it down so it goes further and they save money!!!!! We did get an Apology off the cleaner but the waiters seem to think it was funny and kept asking our grandson "did he enjoy his domestos". Anyway we tried to enjoy our holiday and forget what happened thinking it was a 1 off mistake, but to our shock the very next day he came up to us with another water bottle that him and his little friend had found near the swimming pool which contained "METHYLATED SPIRITS" which was left out by the fire eater.Absolutely disgusting,Lucky enough our 4 year old grandson has got more sense than the people at this hotel and had the sense to bring it to us rather than drink it!!!!! If you are thinking of booking to go here I certainley wouldnt take children,The swimming pools are the nicest things at the apartments and even then 1 day we had to stop our grandson going in the pool as the night before the waiters had a pool party till 5am,and when we went to the pool there was things floating around the kids pool, wouldnt like to imagine what it was,and the pool was left like that all day because the hotel staff were too busy sleeping the night before off!!!!! After that we went to the beach everyday to avoid the pool..Rooms werent up to very good standards,we cleaned our own room most of the time and had to sneak clean bedding out the linen room and change our own beds, also had to sneak toilet rolls out aswell as they only supplied us once with it.Also watch out for the dog at the hotel,it is normally lying under 1 of the dining tables,it used to snap everytime someone passed it,and 1 day it actually bit a mans ankle. Finally if you do go to these apartments Please take an Infectious smile with you and pass it on to the owners of the apartments as they never smiled once. The best waiter was Borak he was always laughing and very helpful..

Hi All,
Well just returned from Kentia Apartments for a week! The Kentia was busy and you were laying on top of one another around the pool which i hate!
So we heard about the Fox Garden and this made our holiday, we sunbathed around the pool everyday and had drinks and lunch, the staff were great (Dawn and Ken) and our chef too - home made chips mmmm!
Thanks guys, if we ever visit side again will call in and see you all again. Well worth a visit - lovely pool and great atmoshphere!

The pool was cleaned daily and it made our holiday having this quiet lovely place to go daily!

I wouldnt call this a holiday hotel for package holidays or beach holidays, although the beach is only about 15 minutes walk away. However its cheap and very close to the ruins and perfect to use as a base for visiting the surrounding area. Theres no swimming pool and it certainly isnt a place to stay with a family on a weeks relaxing holiday. Its perfect for travellers and backpackers alike and with rates starting at a pound per room per night out of season an absolute bargain...
