We are a family of 4 and have just returned from a wonderful week staying in the Limik Limra hotel.
The hotel seemed a little disorganised when we arrived, possibly because they cater for the business guest as much or even more that do for tourists. We were informed on arrival that our room was unavailable; it had been given to a large business party. This happened to the other Thomas Cook arrivals and we were sent to other rooms for a day. The room we were allocated wasn’t suitable, containing only a single and a double bed but fortunately next door was the presidential suite which was open and unoccupied. We were directed into this room and went back to reception for the room key which they reluctantly gave to us.
The weather at the end of October, beginning of November was fantastic, 25C every day, total sunshine. The hotel is huge and the facilities are good, the pool was understandably cold but once you got in it was fine and the kids loved the water slides. No issues with sunbeds and you could always get a good pitch. The beach is pebbly and nearly impossible to walk on without sandals, also the fish take little nibbles at your heals as you struggle to get into the sea. At first I thought it might be a crab but I clearly saw sardine like fish take a bite. I later found out its totally safe. The sea temperature was great, much warmer than the pools. The hotel does its own water sports so you don’t even have to leave the hotel, 1st time parasailing with my youngest and loved it.
The food at the hotel was good, lots of varieties of fish, chicken, lamb burgers but I would have liked a little more choice, we had to wait a few days for veal to make an appearance. No pork understandably but would have liked some steak. We only ate one of the onsite restaurants, the Chinese restaurant, and it wasn’t really worth it. It was all over within an hour. They charged £17 for a Turkish wine, £20 for a European bottle, we instead opted for the standard all inclusive Turkish wine which was free. Two Turkish ladies do a variety of crêpes / pancakes near the pool area, it’s worth seeing them in action as they’ve turned this into an art make it look so simple and this food was ideal if you didn’t fancy having a full lunch.
The hotel staff were really great, very friendly and the language wasn’t an issue but the restaurant staff looked overworked. Meal times were a little chaotic with so many people walking around. The buffet restaurant, on level -1 was much quieter and has almost as good a choice. The guests were of every nationality. Other reviews refer to certain guests being a little rude and ignorant, we never came across this, everyone we met was friendly. The staff always served people from the queue and ignored any queue jumpers. There was a daily show organised by the entertainment team daily and this was the focus of each evening for us. It varied from good to just OK but always delivered with enthuasism.
We were looking for a late check out on our final day but were told we could only find out if this was possible on the actual checkout day, this was pointless as we wanted a late sleep in. We decided to check out and were offered a storage room for our bags and showering facilities. This was fine and we could enjoy out last day and saved 100 euros, to spend on dodgy fake goods down the town.
I hope to visit another part of the Antalya Region again next year but would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to simply chill out and relax. Kiris resort isn’t worth a visit, there is not much to see locally just a long line of the same type or tourist tat shop. No bars or restaurants as all the hotels seem to focus on All Inclusive.
