We would totally recommend the Turkiz Hotel. Booked by internet and never quite sure what you're going to get so very pleased to find this hotel is very clean, has spacious air conditioned rooms and a good location overlooking beach and 3 minute walk to centre. If you get a chance use the Thalasso Spa it is very professional and offers a number of treatments, you also recieve a complimentary visit to the spa pool. We had a couple of relaxing massages. Our room had a sea and marina view and it was great to lay in bed in the morning watching the boats go out to sea. The only drawback with sea view room is the bar on beach that plays music to 2.30am, however soon got used to it and no drunks shouting and fighting outside it unlike an english club . Great to people watch from balcony as pedestrian area between hotel and beach. Lots of shops in town selling fake , fake and more fakes(silver, clothes , handbags sunglasses, always barter as they expect it and we found we got things at half starting price if you push, also look around as alot of same stuff at varying prices in diff shops. Money confusing as they take euros, sterling, US dollars, old and new lira , make sure they quote same currency as some could be quoting euros whilst others Lira.In kemer seemed to be mainly Russians(apparently 60%) and Norwegians with hardly any English. Food in town a bit of a let down but maybe we didn't look hard enough, top floor restaurant in hotel very nice only had B&B so don't know about half board food.To anyone a little sceptical about 5* ,whilst this may not be an English 5* it is as close as you will get.Would definitely recommend.
