We are staying on our motortacht in Kas Marina for the second time this summer. While we had enjoyed coffee and fresh orange juice at the bistro we had not eaten there until last night. We very much enjoyed the meal and the restaurant. They welcomed us warmly as well as our small dog who has travelled with us all the way on our sailing adventure from California. We have lived for the past year in France and our expectations regarding restaurants and the meals they serve are high.
We shared a starter of roasted red bell pepper and cheese that was served with bread and a very tasty tapenade. It was delicious. We both had the Persian lamb with morels and enjoyed it very much. It was served with rice and mashed eggplant and both were good. Although we usually drink red wine with lamb, we had a bottle of Serafin chardonnay that was wonderful! We shared a dessert of baklava topped with vanilla ice cream and some white "cotton candy". My husband has the sweet tooth in our family but I had to agree that the dessert was very, very good. They offered us complimentary coffee or tea after after dinner. We had no problem with the timing of our meal. Our wait person did have limited English but it in no way affected the quality of our evening nor do I hold the expectation when I am in a non English speaking country that everyone speak it. We plan to be here several weeks and will definitely return.
