“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

I must say it was better than expected. Good varieties of food. Some food are repeated but there are so much to choose from, so doesn't really bother us. Animation team always trying their best. Service is good although language is a barrier at times. There was an incident where the reception failed to acknowledge mistake of not explaining the towel card system and blamed us for not asking. It was awful but we took it as a pinch of salt. It is a shame management should not put such a person at the reception. Not surprised he will continue to upset guest with his attitude. We explained the situation to guest relation, chap name Ozay, who has been very helpful from day one and apologised profusely on behalf of the hotel. On many occasions he helped us and definitely made our stay more enjoyable.

This was our first foray into the All Inclusive formula and our first visit to Turkey. Normally, my wife and 7 year old son go for a self catering in countries like France or Italy but this time we had the opportunity to go for an "Ultra-All-Inclusive" for a cheap price.
We chose the Saturn Palace Resort because of the reasonable small size of the hotel and the waterpark. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted by the hotel staff who organised for our bags to go up to the room. We were settled in in a matter of minutes. Although we arrived after 9 Pm we could still get a hot plate of food in the restaurant. We would soon discover that we would never be left wanting in the catering department: delicious food, varied and everyday fresh. At various times during the day, hot and cold snacks were served all over the resort and drinks were always readily available. The only very small criticism is that the alcoholic drinks were from local brands and not very tasty. Still, we weren't there to get drunk.
During the day and in the evening the animation team did their best to motivate the guests to participate but since we came here to rest, we found the constant stream of activities a bit tiring. Also the music by the aqua park pools was a bit too loud and samey. In the evening there are different shows of varying quality to enjoy, which is nice but when you want to go to bed before midnight, you'll probably need some earplugs because of the noise.
All in all, this was a very enjoyable stay in a good quality hotel. That we won't be returning has more to do with the formula than with Saturn Palace. We like our peace and quiet and that's something that is hard to find in these kind of places.
In the neighborhood there is little of interest. The Old Centre of Antalya is worth a visit with beautiful vistas and a nice marina. The shops aren't too "hassely" so you can browse more or less quietly. We also went on a trip to Manavgat but that was a less pleasurable experience. After a very brief visit to the Manavgat Falls (nice if not spectacular) we were carted off to a local market that sadly confirmed all my prejudices against coming to a country like Turkey: fake designer clothing and leather goods are being force fed to you, you are being seized upon with each step and you will ALWAYS be ripped off, no matter how much you haggle. I understand that tourists are a big source of income for the locals but they treat you like cashcows, literally milking your wallet for worthless trinkets. After 10 minutes i had my fill but it was another hour and a half before the bus left. And this was supposed to be a 'locals' market where you can pay with Turkish Lira's and find authentic stuff.. Sure..
Our experiences at the Antalya Airport were dreadful too with inept and excessively rude staff.
So, our trip to Turkey was nice thanks to The Saturn Palace Resort but we will not be visiting this country any time soon. More's a pity.

Room Tip: We stayed in a simple three persons room which was clean, had a small terrace and airco. The AC is a...

Being an All-Inclusive hotel, the Saturn Palace Resort has everything you can reasonably demand. We were a family of 6, including 2 adults and children at the age of 1, 8, 11 and 17, and we all enjoyed every moment of our 2 week stay. We found the staff friendly and interested, always wanting to know if they could be of any service. Pretty much 24 hours you could get drinks and food, well thought of and available. The inclusive minibar and roomservice we have never seen before, and the a la carte restaurant (to be ordered) is also inclusive (but the food is better in the normal service).

Twice a day towels were changed, and the Jacuzzi-rooms we had were properly cleaned.

During the days and the evenings there is a hard-working animation team that organize activities, small competitions and keeps us in activity - just ready to enjoy drinks from the rollerskating drink-service, or the fresh pancakes, snacks, icecream or waffels offered. If you like pools - there are 4 of them, 2 for children. If you like the beach there is a great beach with a pier and plenty of sunbeds in the shadow.

Staying at Saturn Palace is like being away for a real threat, and to some extent you will not think of being in Turkey at all (for the good and the bad). Being Norwegians we noticed that most people came from Belgum, Germany and Holland and Turkey(!), some from England and then some from African countries. If you like to mix up with "your own" you should take this into account.

We needed to seek medical assistance, and again nicely organised with a Hotel nurse that spoke several languages, and that organized for a doctor to come for examination and diagnosis (in minutes rather than in hours), and the needed medicine also came with transport from a local pharmacy in minutes. Great service!

The only negative parts of our stay were some of the night time activities that were a bit noisy if you wanted to go to sleep "early", and the woman who was in charge of the childrens club was sometimes a bit rude and bossy.

I will highly recommend this quality hotel for anyone who consider going away for an ALL-INCLUSIVE brilliant experience.

After reading some bad reviews we were very pleasantly surprised during our stay. If you are English and like to mix with other English families then you will find this hard as not many English, it would be fabulous if there were a large party of you all together, however we did not let this put us off. Me, my husband and 13 yr old daughter stayed 5th June for 10 nights in a Jacuzzi seaview room. It was a lovely room and the Jacuzzi was nice to cool the skin after a day sunbathing. Food was excellent with lots of choice and variety every day. Snacks such as Kebabs, Pizza, Chips served during the day as well as pancakes, Doughnuts and Icecream. We have stayed in Lara before at the Baia Lara and have to say this was very much on par and the food if not better!! Champagne, snacks and drinks served whilst sunbathing around the pools and also on the beach, this was great. I would definitely recommend as fantastic value for money and would more than happily return again.

Room Tip: Choose a Jacuzzi Seaview room, its so much better than some of the other rooms.

My husband & I returned to the Saturn Palace hotel 02/04/2012 -09/04/2012 for a weeks hol. This is our 2nd visit to this hotel within a year. The rooms are of a very good standard, lovely clean bathroom, toiletries provided, excellent maid service.

All the staff make you feel very welcome.

The food is of 5 star quality, always plenty of choice avaiable and the staff are very efficient at clearing tables.

The Italian A La Carte is lovley - 9 courses we coudn't manage them all.

The bar staff would know what drinks we liked & we were well looked after especially by Alexis the barman in the lobby bar /disco. They were always very polite and efficient in doing their jobs.

We went to the disco 5 nights and it was a great atmosphere.

The entertainment team were excellent.

We liked sunbathing around the main pool as music was played here, especially english music.

The hotel is kept spotless. Whichever facilities you used at any time of the day they were always clean.

Everything is always a suprise at the Saturn Palace. On the Saturday afternoon the staff came around on the beach with glases of champagne.

This hotel has all the finishing touches for a 5 star hotel.

We always go 5 star on holiday & this hotel is our favourite.

We would like to thank all the staff at the Saturn Palace for a lovely holiday and we will be returning next year.

Location: First impressions of this hotel were "oh", I must admit, as the other hotels on the same road seemed much more grand. However, I was pleasantly surprised inside! The area in which this hotel is situated is pretty quiet. It's not far from the airport but it is a bit of a distance from the city so no walking to town there! There are a few shops on the same road as you walk past a few hotels which is good for those looking for a last minute souvenir or Turkish delight.

Food: I liked the food although after a few days it gets a little repetitive but there was a lot of choice and variety to suit everyone's individual taste buds. I went on an all-inclusive basis so yeah I ate my money's worth in food (I was at the cakes and biscuits almost all day!).

Staff: I think all the staff were very friendly although they cannot speak much English so communication can be a big problem if you don't know Turkish or German. This hotel does cater mostly for Germans and the only people from the UK staying at the hotel apart from us were a lovely elderly gentlemen and a couple from Scotland. I would not recommend that anyone goes on excursions with the hotel as it was really pricey and you can find people to take you to various sights for cheaper prices.

Rooms: The rooms were very clean and well lit. My view was not so fantastic as it looked out at the road but I'm sure the sea view rooms must be good.

Pools and Spas: There are two outdoor pools (one with slides but it's shut in winter) and an indoor pool. The hotel also has a sauna and steam room and you can find a sort of hairdresser/massage place too in the hotel but I do not think the price was worth it. One problem I had was with the showers in the pool changing rooms and the cleanliness of these changing rooms. Someone was sick in the sink and didn't even bother to clean up or call a cleaner to sort it out. One of the showers was broken which was frustrating as you have to wait as everyone jumps for the only one.

Overall, I did have a good time here but some aspects of the hotel could be improved.
