“good hotel, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Loved the hotel. The managers and the staff are friendly and helpful and the location - in the old kaleci area is really suitable for all the attractions are really close by.

What was really wonderful was that my tour company had booked me into a really tiny room and with 3 adults in one room, it was very hard to navigate around the room! The hotel manager on hearing our plight upgraded us at no extra cost. We are really thankful that they went out of their way to help us.

Note - outside food and drinks are not allowed in the hotel - not only in the public areas but the room as well. This can be slightly inconvenient.

There was no noise where my room was located. But the pool is really tiny.
The complimentary breakfast is really basic.

There is a grocery shop just across the hotel and there are various souvenir shops nearby.

I found the hotel to be a great place from which to explore the old town of Antalya - a place that has a great deal to offer. It is an old Ottoman house that has been converted and added to, and my room was comfortable without being over the top. My room overlooked the pool and was quiet and restful. The hotel was well run, clean and pleasant. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would certainly stay there again. The weather was vewry hot, particularly as I had come straight form the southern hemisphere winter and the pool was a real blessing. Breakfast was fine.

Room Tip: I was told that some of the rooms on the road side had a lot of traffic noise but that is only secon...

Very Friendly country and people keen to help. We stayed in Old town of Antalya in Meditera Art Hotel for 7 nights. Small hotel with very basic amenities. Room was clean and fridge and A/C as well safe was included in price. Staff were very helpful but hardly understand English.
Lots of restaurants and small shops around the hotel and bar / cafe all giving same type of menu. Hotel restaurant is very basic. Breakfast is hardly mentionable and after 9 am you get cold food. Same area serves food at night which is 4 course for a pittance of £3.00 so you get food accordingly. Do not eat in the hotel as food around is cheap and £5 - 7 will give you a good main course in nearby restaurants.
Hotel can be noisy at night due to cats fighting and street dogs barking as well as 2 mosques calling Azaan at 5.30am.
Hotel swimming pool is glorified children's pool next to reception ( with people coming & going) as well as restaurant. There are only 4 sunbeds on a high up terrace above the pool and those beds are occupied by cats at night!!!

Being in centre of Old town there is good walks, shops, history around the hotel but don't expect beach for 15 minutes walk to Bus stop and then 30 minutes bus journey.

Room Tip: Nothing really!!!

The first thing that drew my attention when handed the "welcome" note on arrival was a bolded statement: "It's not permitted to bring food and drink from outside into the hotel". When I questioned the desk clerk as to whether this just applied to the public areas of the hotel, he informed me that it applied to the entire hotel, including private rooms. I asked why and was told that the owner supplied bar fridges in the rooms and had a restaurant on premises and wanted to make money.
As far as we were concerned this back-fired on him as we refused to take anything from the in room fridge and boycotted the restaurant, with the exception of the breakfast that was included in the room rate. The breakfast buffet was one of the most disappointing selections we have seen in any European hotel.
Finally, our room, admittedly a standard room, did not compare to any of the pictures online and did not have a full length mirror which their online site said was a fixture in every room.
We also found the staff less friendly and helpful than any of the other hotels we have stayed at in Turkey.

Room was fine albeit very basic. Per the reviews, loud music in the area on Saturday night made for a noisy hotel experience until the early hours of Sunday... Bring earplugs or stay out til late if you're here on a weekend!

Lovely staff, so helpful. An old Ottoman house, very open and airy. Small pool
But welcome as it was very hot! Some areas could do with "updating" . Visit
Sani Grand Bazaar around the corner and the owner Rose, who is so friendly.
Also the little restaurant next door to her, excellent value and lovely food.

Room Tip: Internal rooms would be quieter

We stayed here for 10 days.

The hotel was in a perfect location in the centre of Antalya old town (Kaleici) next to many good restaurants, bars and shops and just a 5 min walk from a small beach Mermerli (only one beach in the old town but much more peaceful and pretty than the other two main beaches Konyaalti and Lara though you have to pay a small fee.)

The hotel room was fairly small, not bad for us but may be a problem if you had a lot of luggage. It was kept clean every day and quite quiet despite being next to the road though. There was air con and WiFi. There is a sun terrace/courtyard and small pool which is lovely for relaxing. The breakfast buffet had a large range of Turkish breakfast foods.

We experienced some problems - safe was broken on arrival ( though replaced pretty quickly) and laundry service took 3 days to return clothes- but generally the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms looked a lot larger. September is a good time to travel, quieter but still a lot go...
