“Excellent hotel but beware of the jacuzzi next to the kids pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Delphin Palace. Overall an excellent holiday with fantastic staff and great service. The food was very nice with good selection of freshly cooked food at the main restaurant. We ate in the A La Carte restaurants on 2 occasions at the Mexican and the Italian which were both good and it's nice to have the food brought to you. The restaurants accepted our 3 year old daughter even though there was supposed to be a 'no-children' rule. Around the pool we really liked the staff coming round on rollerskates asking you if you wanted any drinks brought to you. This was throughout the day and hadnt experienced this before at other hotels on previous visits. All the staff were excellent and very friendly.
The only fault I could find with the hotel is the fact that for some unknown reason there is a jacuzzi 'plunge pool' located right beside the kids pool in the separate childrens area. On the first day our 3 year old was playing in the safe and shallow kids pool and being curious as kids are she decided to get into the jacuzzi pool next to the kids pool which has a depth of 0.9m compared to 0.3m in the kids pool. Immediately she was out of her depth and I had to pull her out. I cannot understand why this jacuzzi pool is located right next to kids pool as no one ever used it and it is clearly too deep to be located in this area. For the rest of the holiday we stayed away from the childrens swimming pool.

This was the first time my family have been to turkey following a recommendation from my brother who visited last year and the week Prior to my holiday. My problems with this hotel was the continuous rule change regarding the children being allowed in the " a la carte restaurants". On our second day We booked a meal in the Chinese by the kiosk , went for dinner and when we arrived the man told us we were not allowed in because we had a child, but with a bit of persuasion he let us in and said this would be the last time. At this point I felt un-welcomed , like I should not be in there even though I paid the same money for my holiday as everyone else . Then I looked down the restaurants and I could see small children scattered in most of the a la cart restaurants ! Went straight to reception to complain why I was treated different to all these other guests. The receptionist never spoke good English so I was passed to someone on the phone , but my point was not getting through , he just apologised and explained this was a new rule by management . The Next morning i spoke to Tomas cook , they said they could not do anything about this , but when I explained there were lots of other children in the restaurants , and my brother with his family went in the week before why is it changed now , she said that if you we're a returning guest to this hotel then they would let you in , how can you make different rules up for everyone! And the manager changed this on the day of our arrival . After days of this and complaints to guest relations I managed to get into the Italian only once!!! After all this hassle on my holiday I decided to forget it and enjoy it, until the day I left and checked out Thomas cook told me that they had some news ' that the manager had changed the rules and you were welcome to go in 4 of the a la cart restaurants , great !!!! So my week of my holiday the rules changed.
Probably will not come back here again !

Having read the reviews on TA we decided to try this hotel. We are so glad we did, from the moment we arrived until we had to depart (unfortunately) everything was fabulous. The food and drinks were excellent, as were all the staff. Could honestly not find the slightest fault in the 10 days we were there, so much so we are all ready considering going back later this year. All in all I think this was probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we are so much looking forward to our return.

Stayed here13-23rd May as a group of 7 including 2 two year old toddlers. Check in was swift and we were soon in our rooms. There was no travel cot in one of the rooms but this was soon sorted after a call to reception, the cots do not come with a mattress but the maids pad these out with a duvet and my son slept well for the 10 nights we were there so all good! The maids were great and were soon in the room if you put the please clean my room sign out. The mini bar was stocked up everyday with drinks alcohol and snacks. The room was clean and tidy and all essentials are provided, the balcony had a table and two chairs as well as a hanging rail for drying clothes. The pool areas are always clean and there was always a sunbed to be found which was great as there was no need to wake up at silly o clock on holiday to put towels on the bed! The staff around the pools are always bringing a selection of drinks and taking orders for more, including around the kids pool which is good. There are chiller boxes around the pools where you can help yourself to cold drinks. The restaurant areas are great, there is always a large selection of foods, I even got lost in the buffet restaurant on the first day!! My only criticism for the food areas is that some of the staff seem bored and miserable and not very welcoming, and the highchairs are not always clean, even when they have been 'cleaned' and cling filmed by staff. There isn't much to do outside of the hotel unless you go on an excursion or take the bus to the city but there is so much to do in the hotel you don't need to go out! I think it is a great idea that they have a large shaded kids pool and an over 14s adult pool as well as the big family pool. We spent most of our time at the kids pool and they loved it, the slides into the pool and the parks with trampolines at either end is a great idea! The kids absolutely loved the mini disco in the evening and going to the Luna park before so they can go on the big wheel and train! The animation team were great and always smiling, the kids now have a mini disco cd in the car at home so they can carry on the dance routines!! Overall definitely a great family holiday with lots to do and eat!

Having previously visited the Delphin Diva we decided to try the Delphin Palace for comparison. The Diva comes out on top, but there's not much in it. Food quality was excellent throughout, the Teppanyaki, Italian and Turkish a la carte restaurants were superb. Having no children ourselves we appreciated the no children rule in the a la carte restaurants. Particularly as there is no adult only dining section in the main restaurant.

Hotel, rooms and grounds were immaculately kept. Management team very keen to hear feedback and improve things quickly. Pool area is well laid out with plenty of space for those seeking shade or sun, towels are provided.

The room was comfortable and fairly quiet (we were on the 8th floor in the middle of the hotel facing the Delphin Imperial).

Plenty of choice of bars in the evening, though at times it can be difficult to get served. We felt the entertainment quality had deteriorated since we last went to the Diva, with not enough professional shows and too much reliance on guest participation, including a rather embarrassing "Delphin Queen" show which did not attract the required number of participants!

We felt very welcomed and recognised as return guests, and when I was unfortunate enough to have to see a doctor during my stay the get well message and plate of cookies was a lovely touch!

Overall the holiday was fantastic with just a couple of niggles like the bar service, the long wait for lifts at peak times and lack of adult only areas in bars or restaurants. Would recommend this chain of hotels highly and looking forward to trying the Imperial in the next couple of years!

just back from a week staying in the Delphin Palace (11 - 18th may) and what a holiday! the hotel is defiantly worthy of its 5 starts. The food is fantastic, plenty of choice and availability..never went hungry. even on arrival at the hotel (around midnight) we were able to order room service which was great after the long journey. The hotel is absolutely spotless, was an inside joke that staff seemed to have OCD it was that clean and tidy which is great.

From our experience, what made the holiday was the service from the staff. from those in the restaurant - to the waiters / waitresses around the pool (who are on roller blades!!!) and not forgetting the pool boy, who even put the towel on your sun bed for you. the service throughout was superb! we would like to say a special thank you to the following staff for making our stay so enjoyable:
Anket - relax pool
Tayfun - pool waiter
Yilmaz and Ibrahim - main restaurant

booked to go back in october and CANT WAIT - would highly recommend!

Noting bad to say about this hotel. Do not belive all the negative reviews. I work in travel industry and i have seen a lot of hotels. This one is realy a great hotel specialy for families with children.
Selected staff, good food, close to the sea.
Maybe an inconvenient (but this is a personal opinion) is that like almost all the hotels in ANtalya is quite a big hotel. Is huge actualy,.
