“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2009

The location of the hotel is beautiful. Nice views-the combination between see and mountain, and pools (super). Food is just OK. Personnel is nice too. But I had a shock when I entered th room. The washing sinks are somehow in the room. It is odd. The furniture needs a change (at least in 2007).
Peabble beach and sand.
Even if I was in octomber, the weather was OK.No international brands (I mean drinks), but for me it doesn't mather.

I was among 100+ members of the U.S. Junior Chamber who traveled to Antalya for our JCI World Congress. JCI members had exclusive use of the resort. What a beautiful location! The resort had its own pools - as well as bay access - plus numerous restaurant options. The rooms were comfortable (with balcony) and more than adequate (we really didn't spend much time in the room!) The resort was a short taxi-ride from downtown Antalya. If you go, try to make time for the Antalya Museum!

In the earthy environment of the Turkish terrain, it was similar to an all inclusive paradise with a good variety of entertainments and cuisines. Great to return to after a day of treking and sight seeing. Just as good to spend the entire day relaxing by the pool / sea.

My mother and I booked a last minute holiday last October and were assured that this was a top class hotel. Upon arrival, our room was not what we had expected and asked to change.

Although you couldn't fault the food or service within the a la carte restaurants, the buffet style restaurants catered for Russian and German clientele. Again, all the information boards were in Russian and German, which suggested that this was catered more for an Eastern European demographic.

The service was appalling in the bar, with the waiters arrogant and crude, it took almost half an hour to get served.

In the end my mother and I and 10 other families requested to be transferred to another hotel, with some of these families encountering problems far worse than our own.

I would not recommend this hotel to anybody!

How this hotel had a 5 star rating I don't know, the facilities were ok the food and service was terrible 10 families asked to be moved to another hotel because the hotel staff were so rude.
Perhaps this is not an hotel to send English people to as they were not prepared to speak Englishto us and gave us drinks that were just the juice without any spirit in them.........think they thought it was funny . never again will go to that hotel or their chain.

Have just got back from a week at WOW World Palace. Like LAURENF this was book at the last minute and could find nothing but really, really bad reviews.

We are a couple, no kids. I will say that it is not an opulent luxury 5* if you compare with the AI 5* in US, Australia, the Caribbean, Asia etc. BUT it is really good value for money and EXCELLENT holiday.

The Hotel is big, nearly 900 room, but there is enough for everyone (honest). Some times it feels busy and at others you wonder where everyone has gone.

Whilst the selection at the main restaurants might not suit all, the buffet offers a huge variety of hot and cold dishes to suit all tastes. The a’la’carte restaurants offer a very good alternative and are tasty, and booked the Turkish option more than once, and we did not try the fish option. The food is edible and we suffered no illness which to me says a lot given the numbers catered for. I think there is only an hour a day when you can’t get anything to eat and you can always get an alcoholic drink if you want one. Water and juice is freely available as are lots of little hidden places offering tasty snacks to tempt you. There is an annoying habit from some folks [of all nationalities] who get really greedy with the free food piling it high with no regard to fellow holidaymakers who might want some but the food is not rationed and is always replenished. It was a shame to see these greedy folk then wasting what they could not eat. If you go hungry you must be the fussiest eater in the world. Personally I would have liked to have seen a larger selection for fruit – to match the selection of everything else.

The standard hotel room was large, generally clean, well provided, and the best bit for us, always, always had really hot water for a shower what ever time of day we decided to have a shower (which some travellers to Turkey will know is sometimes not guaranteed unless you get first shower of the day)! The beds are in good order and comfortable. The general feel might be a bit old with wear and tear. We were lucky with our room location, but some in blocks 4 and 5 found it nosier as they overlook the main pools, outside bars, amphitheatre and disco.

The hotel and grounds are well cared for, and whilst the standards might not be as high as else where in the world, it all looks presentable. There are loads of seats in the bars and sunbeds every where which have cushions, and if there are not enough, more seem to appear. Beach and/or pool towels are provided fresh daily and are clean and of good quality.

Plenty to do if you want to be active during the day or night. For those who like to relax there is a nice beach with beautiful clear water and plenty of quiet corners to relax if you want to do nothing. You are not forced to join in the activities and I would of thought it would make an excellent family holiday – but we had a great time as a couple. In fact we did not leave the resort, using the facilities and Spa on site. The Turkish Bath is good, and worth a go – but you will find cheaper off site.

The area around the hotel is very beautiful with mountains and pine trees. There is not a huge variety of shops near the hotel, but a long row of small shops opposite the hotel entrance which are quite nice to visit for a walk out after another enormous evening meal. We did not do any sight seeing, but our holiday was for R&R not rushing around. There seems to be plenty of choice on tours if you want them.

On the whole you will be looked after. If you smile, you will be treated with a smile!

Our biggest mistake was relying on our tour company’s rep’ and we would of got quicker results using WOW customer relations to sort problems – like a safe that would not open etc.

On the down side, the Air conditioning in our room was not that effective [fortunately the weather was not that hot at 29’C, and the general housekeeping in the room is not really 5*, although not genuinely dirty, I felt the standards needed to be set higher.

If you want opulent AI luxury 5* then this is not the hotel for you BUT you are not paying opulent luxury 5* prices, but it you want a great holiday at a good standard hotel, which offers amazing value then this is the one!

Yes, we would go back!! Says a lot I think!!!
