“Clean hotel, friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this hotel was, I'm a very picky person when it comes to cleanliness, the rooms are a bit small though and I didn't like how there was only wifi in the lobby and not in the rooms. While the meal package is a good deal, their selection is very limited. The location of the hotel is great it's near all the restaurants and close the shopping area.

The hotel is in a great location in the old city of Antalya and I do like the old building and the courtyards and the sense of peace. Breakfast is good but the room was not very good. Definitely on the small side with a very strange bedding (the sheet was... Missing?!?!?!?) and the shower towels are definitely small. Good place for travellers but not my first choice for an holiday stay. Staff is friendly.

Arrived late on Sunday night welcomed with a fruit drink and shown to our room. Two bulbs did not work and shower hose leaked. We mentioned this to reception the next morning and it was fixed by the evening. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.Plenty of choice at breakfast, one hot dish. Evening meal, different soup every night good variety of hor d'oeuvres(meze), one hot main course, fresh fruit ,local sweets. Small pool but ideal for cooling off after being out in the sun most of the day. Always able to get a seat or lounger. Room aircon worked well ,could have done with more drawer space.
Hotel within walking distance of many bars and restaurants.(prices about the same as uk). Five minute walk to small private beach through Mermeli restaurant 11tl (included lounger and umbrella). Wonderful chicken sandwich for lunch at Terrace bar opposite Hidirlik Tower.
Great just to wander around the old city Kaleci. Take the tram to the museum and enjoy the wonderul statues and sarcophagi found at the ancient sites of Termessos,Perge and Aspendos. These are all worth a visit.
If you wonder where the loud music comes from at about 9.30pm every evening catch the choreographed fountain/ light show near the clock tower. Look out over the harbour at night from the Feza bar (kale bar). Amazing sight.
For something different go and visit the sand sculptures near Lara Beach.(on until Nov 2013) Take the kl 08 bus.
Would certainly recommend.

Room Tip: Be aware that there are stairs to the hotel entrance and stairs to the main accomodation annexe.

We stayed at the Aspen Hotel on 2 different occasions in May, once at the start of a hill-walking trip and once at the end. During our stays we ended up in 3 different rooms — not because of any problems but because one booking was made by the tour group and one by ourselves. We were never disappointed. In fact we couldn't have been luckier with one room, 210, which turned out to be a huge corner suite with 2 balconies. Room 207 was smaller but very comfortable and also had a balcony. The third room was in the annex section, on the 4th floor, and was a bit cramped, but the window seat with view of the harbour made up for it. The staff, especially at reception, was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical Turkish style with lots of variety. Dinners had a large selection of delicious mezes that were way better than the so-so hot dishes. One of the best things about this hotel, from our point of view, was the number of pleasant sitting areas, especially in the shady garden around the fountain. The location was ideal.

The pool is a bit smaller than on the picture but it was a very nice and clean one. Located in the atmosphere of the old city itself so we did everything from there on foot. Close by are some very nice restaurants (be sure to not go to the tourist trap near the old clock tower). Me and my friends had a great stay here.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We stayed at the Aspen Hotel for 4 nights in July, that was filled with disappointment. The first day we arrived and checked in the TV was not working had to call the receptionist for a service man to come and take a look apparently the circuit break was not working . Tried to take a shower and the water over flowed on to the bathroom floor. The drain was not working properly which was disgusting since it was over 90 degrees outside and crazy humidity the only thing I wanted was a nice shower. Again called the receptionist and they sent the manager to look at the problem. Interestingly instead of saying we can take care of this right away he asked me if I took my shower with the door open. I had to let him know that even I knew that showers are taken with the door closed. The service man came in and looked at the problem and said nothing was wrong but they said they would give us a new room the next day. They said they would send a person to clean the bathroom floor. Well the look on the ladies face that came in to do the cleaning was unfriendly and rude like we were interrupting her from something else. Her cleaning method was wiping the floor with the towel I had already put down on the floor to soak up the water that had flowed out of the shower. The parking for this hotel is walking distance and not very convenient especially if you have luggage. The breakfast was nothing special. Though we had AC in our room the hotel itself did not have any AC through out the hallways or the reception area. And the worst part was there was no internet in the rooms. Over all I would never stay here again. The staff including the reception needs to be much more friendly and customer service oriented.

We can not accept the some reviews about our hotel.
Firstly our parking place is not far away from our hotel. It is just behind the our hotel. It is walking distance and takes two minutes by walk.We checked your shower and you know that there was no problem with the shower. We have also AC in the restaurant and Cafe Lounge. You know that we have no internet connection in our rooms. There is no information about the internet connection in our rooms please check your agency web page/www.booking.com.We have free internet connection at the lobby and in the restaurant nothing in our rooms. It is correct the tv was not working because you forgot to press the on - off button of the tv .You are right that how can be unfriendly staff give you a another room with the balcony.
