“Wunderbar lunch in pouring rain!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

In spite of a downpour, we were dry outside at LAL Cafe because the server placed large umbrellas strategically over us! Food and beer was terrific. Price very reasonable, and owner (our server) most helpful. Good menu. My Tomato Soup rated a 4.5/5. My only 5 was in Holland! Garlic bread was exceptional. And location right at the center of town on the Tram. My wife loved the fries, and she normally doesn't like fries. Great salad.

“Quiet little place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

We have been going to Antalya for a few years now and always stay in the Old Town. Usually pop in to the Lal for a drink and lunch. Family owned, with good service. Only drawback, is that it is down a very steep hill if you are coming from the Clock tower direction.

“Worst meal in Turkey”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

I'm not sure what planet the other reviewers were from but having had a few meals now in Istanbul and Antalya this was by far the worst of the bunch. All meals served with chips and over slices of bread! Ugh! Gravy from a packet with undercooked steak (asked for medium but it was mostly raw) and Calamari probably frozen from a bag. The outside was pleasant but I also think I was getting bitten by fleas from the astro turf carpet! If this was the best the other reviewers had I hate to think what the other meals were like. I'll be wary of trusting a "TripAdvisor" review again.

“Lal cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

My wife daughter and granddaughter and I have just come back from 2 weeks in Antalya, while there we visited a different restaurant every night until we came across Lals restaurant right in the old town of Antalya. It has outdoor seating which is really pleasant, all the food is cooked to order, and it was really tasty, Lal and his wife are very nice people their service was top class.

“Antalya, Lal Cafe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

We are a family of five from Denmark who all enjoys 'Lal Cafe'. It's a quiet and nice place for a drink or some food served by sweet staff. The cafe is full of flowers and bamboo, which just makes it even better. It's quiet and easy to enjoy the atmosphere and the people around you - not only your family.
For us this was just perfect after a long shopping trip in Antalya. Just great.
