My husband and I went to stay in this hotel in the last week of September. On our first evening at the hotel, the hotel manager (the father of the family, it is a family run hotel) told us that breakfast is ready at 8.00 in the morning. this is also written on the elevator door. the next morning we went downstairs at 8.20 to eat breakfast. It seemed very simple, there wasn't even any cheese. We took our plates and started serving. After 10 minutes the father brought more food to the buffet. When he saw that we had already served before all the food had arrived, he started shouting at us in turkish: there are other guests at the hotel, you don't appreciate my hard work, i have been preparing from 6 in the morning, you have ruined the design of the breakfast...!!!!! I was absolutely shocked and appalled at his behavior! he treated his guests as his kids! Breakfast should have been ready at 8.00 as promised! yet he blamed us for starting early! totally unacceptable.
the decoration of the hotel is nice, and inviting (this was the only reason we chose to stay at the hotel)
The room service is terrible. The second day when we realized our towels hadn't been changed, we confronted the manager about it. we said that our towels are still wet from yesterday and haven't been changed. He just said: towels aren't cleaned daily!!! in fact the towels were changed just twice in a 5 day period!
The last day, the managers son, Ergun, offered to take us to the airport. The fare he offered was 50 turkish liras which was 5 turkish liras cheaper than what the taxis offered us, we accepted the offer, When we packed our bags, we saw that he had without informing us, accepted to take another couple to the airport too! in other words we shared the car! but he still got the same price! it should have been split! he recieved 100 turkish liras from both couples. he ripped us off!
On the last night when we were checking out, the manager tried to rip us off once again by saying that we had paid for only 4 nights when we had paid for 5 nights. ALWAYS GET A RECEIPT FOR YOUR PAYMENT if you want to avoid this problem.
In general, our stay at Beyaz Melek was a disappointment, i wouldn't recommend it. the managers are soooo bad tempered! they take our the personal stress on their guest.
