We stayed there from July 27-August 2. We were three couples.
In a nut shell the hotel is definitely not worth your time or money. Here is why:
-You have to wait for ages till check-in as the the hotel is always fully booked.
-The air conditioning system in the hotel (especially corridors and restaurants) is very poor. You are better off staying in your room!
-The staff hardly speak English. Even the ones who d,o have created their own Turkgilish language which is hard to understand.
-The staff are very rude, as if they are forced into their jobs! You do not feel welcomed at all!
-Food quality is terrible. You get the same kind of food every single day with minimal variation.
In addition, you have to look for forks and knifes and drinks yourself. the waiters are busy trying to understand what they are supposed to do!
-Seemingly good restaurants (Asian, Turkish and Italian) are always full I tried booking one @ 08:00 in the morning. There was a long line and as I got to the reservation desk I was told that there was no more seat available! Maybe you should try booking @ 04:00 am?;) lol
-Entertainment team in the morning is either sleep or busy elsewhere! You can hear Titanic (just across the street) partying 24/7 while there is absolute silence here in Rixos. In the evenings however you might be lucky to see some relatively good shows. But not every night.
-There are three pools. One dedicated to children so forget about that. The other two are more or less fine. Of course you have to wake up early to get a bed otherwise you are seat-less!
-The aqua-park is very small and not that exciting. You can only enjoy it after a few drinks ;)
-Internet is only available at the lobby. Only a few meters away is the Buddha bar. So if you are hoping to relax there and check your email forget about it!
-The hotel is quite remote. If you are into shopping, walking through the old city, etc be prepared to spend a few hundred liras for transportation.
-This time of year the weather in Antalya is crazy so you are better off postponing your trip till Late August/early September
-If you want to iron your clothes, it is not available in you room and you have to pay extra fee to have it ironed. You can not find a simple shoe polish in your room. Mini bar is free but you are left with limited options, You have to pay extra 70 Euros for a sea view room (even if it is vacant!)
The list can go on and on. The point is that I have been to many cities and hotels in Turkey over the past 15 years and 5 Star U ALL Rixos Lares happens to be one of the worst hotels I have been to. If you want to throw your money away suit yourself but I would not give it a try in a million years.
Next time if/when I decide to visit Antalya I will book a 3/4 star hotel in old city myself (not through an agency).
