“Very relaxing Hotel, friendly staff, beautiful landscaped pools, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Hotel Baia Lara is very well located on the main beach road at Büyük Kundu, close to lots of small shops , Shopping Malls and Bazars some 15kms outside of Antalya to the East. Very friendly staff from the waiters to the security staff at the main entrance and the housekeeping. The Hotel features a nice and professional spa, beautiful outdoor landscaped pools, water slides for the kids , one smaller heated outdoor pool and one indoor pool with jacuzzi. There 's also a Games room and bowling . The main Buffet Restaurant serves great food and for lunch there are a variety of stalls alongside the pools. The beach is nice also. I can't comment on the entertainment programme as it was not yet fully functionning during the Easter Holidays , so there was some live music and movies inside the hotel's conference rooms. All in all a great holiday and we would always return to this hotel and we recommend it . You can be sure to get at least 4,5 to 5 star quality. The rooms are nice and spacious , at least the family rooms and the deluxe rooms with sea view.

Room Tip: Choose a room with seaview as they're bigger

Loved the 2nd visit even more than the 1st. Travelled with my sister and her 10 year old son, and we all had a brilliant holiday. Once again the general cleanliness of the Hotel is spot on and the food is lovely, something for everyone, and the desserts are to die for. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the spa, we had the Turkish bubble massage and facials which were wonderful, skin still feels lovely and soft. Weather was a bit hit and miss - had 2 days of cloud but that's what you expect going away in April. The Hotel staff make everything a pleasure, you can use Turkish Lira/Euros or GBP in the shop and spa. Entertainment staff were all lovely and Cem or Chum as he liked to be called had a wicked sense of humour and made everyone feel welcome. Would definitely contemplate a 3rd visit although people say we should try somewhere different I don't know what more you could want from a hotel. Great value for money.

we stayed in the bahia over the easter period, its a modern fresh feel hotel ,as you would expect of a newer hotel which is just in its third season.food excellant ,staff friendly and helpfull.Rooms ,dining areas ,bars, corriders ,toilets all of a very high clean modern standard.Excellant spa facilities.Sunloungers a plenty due to the time of year, weather 5 out of 7 sunny days.Annimation and entertainment multi lingual ,and low key probably due to time of year.Nationalities varying weekly,-high percent british and german guests.Overall a great time had by all.

Before travelling to Turkey we looked on Trip Advisor for some idea to prepare us either way. Some reviews were helpful and others I think they stayed somewhere else... Me, my partner and 7 year old son went over the Easter period not sure what to expect but as we are easy going we were not too concerned. Our first experience at the Baia was to have our luggage took off at another hotel to ours!!! The efforts of the reception lady and the Thomas Cook emergency person Lucy was great and we got our luggage back in 30 minutes - Fantastic!!!
The room was clean, spacious and lovely with balcony not facing the pool but it was not the end of the world - they also provide you with shampoo, shower gel, soap, body lotion. Mini fridge was filled and daily if required, What really impressed me was for once my son got an actual bed and not a fold down settee. You do not need to pack towels as they are provided for free on a daily basis - just go and get them!!!. The cleanliness of the hotel and grounds was second to none. The food was yes repetitive but there was so much choice that you could have something different most nights. The selection was huge whether breakfast, lunch (that was amazing) and dinner. Afternoon tea and sandwiches at scalinis was just a bonus on top of everything else. We are really relaxed when we go on holiday and do not expect what you are used to at home but the food, staff, hotel were amazing. The only negative for us was as someone as previously mentioned the pools outside are 1.4m and was too deep for my son ,who although can swim it was still too deep and he spent the week on the sunbed and not in the outside pool like usual. There were indoor pools and the Jacuzzi pool was ok for him but who wants to spend the week inside???. The childrens pool mentioned in the brochure was more like a paddle pool and no good for a 7 year old as too shallow to swim or enjoy. I would definately be going back to Antalya and the Baia but when my son is a little older to be able to enjoy the outdoor pools like his normal holidays do. There are alot of Germans (some were friendly others rude)but the outside pool area is very spacious and so there are plenty of beds for everyone ( no towels to put out early). Overall this holiday was relaxing, enjoyable and would recommend this to anyone - and yes 5 star.

Lets start with the weather.Very good 12 out of 14 nights were fab.the other two days ok ish.We travelled with group of 11 ages from 8 to 68.We had a fantastic time.Food was excellant and plenty of choice in the evening, lunch time bar snacks were very good with the pizza hut man and the KFC style chicken hut, salads, burgers, pasta,it was all available for everyone. If that wasnt enough you would head down to the buffet restaurant for a huge selection once again.SO food was definatley the best we have had so far on the Lara Strip.Cleanliness was outstanding throughout from rooms to poolside to restaurants to toilets and beach area. The rooms were great with large balcony overlooking the pool.Large rooms with FLATSCREEN tv with sports channels such as premier league tv..and more.Bathrooms were good size with a lovely power shower. The poolside bar area was clean and well stocked with drinks.and the poolside area with numerous pools was extremely clean and tidy.We were a bit disappointed with the main pool being closed for a couple of days due to maintanance problem but there was 4 more pools to choose from so it did not dampen our holiday. We met some great people and there was no sign of "idiots abroad" in this hotel.overall a fantastic hotel and holiday.definatley reccommend this one its a beauty.Would go back at a drop of a hat next year.WELL DONE BAIA LARA.the watersports on the beach was cool , with us having a bash on the banana bots which was very good fun...GO IF YOU WANT A GREAT HOLIDAY AND HOLIDAY.....some of the barstaff in the lobby bar were useless but majority of them good.

Room Tip: just book it.

We were at Baia 2 weeks over easter and pretty much agree past reviews just thought i'd add a couple of things not seen mentioned. Pools are all 1.4m deep with no slope in or large steps apart from the small kiddies pool inside mini club area so if your child isn't a competent swimmer pack armbands. Cartons of milk plain and flavoured are available next to cereal at breakfast handy to put some in your room fridge. There was no children section in buffet although plenty of pasta, pizza could get bit repetitive for fussy kids. Kids club was boring(my 6 year olds comment) did have nice easter sunday party but most other time seemed to be drawing or dvd. Although we had a good holiday we did find service lacking at times especially during the first week when the guest were mainly German and they definately got priority service and before i get any comments my husband is german so understood what was being said and going on.
One last thing not hotels fault thomas cook rep was useless.

Room Tip: 2nd floor has no balcony 7th brick fronted balcony

Just got back last night from a week's stay at the Baia Lara. The hotel was fab, the food and service were great and the beach, although a bit stoney in part was clean and had lots of sunbeds to choose from. Would imagine it to be a bit too crowded in the summer but perfect for Easter. The spa and indoor pool, suana etc is a must for anyone wanting some "me" time. This hotel caters for everyone and is a real gem. Would love to go back and be pampered all over again.

Room Tip: Our room was perfect with brilliant views from the 6th floor.
