I have just returned from a week’s stay at this hotel and found it absolutely charming. Before leaving home I had read some of the negative reviews on trip advisor so was somewhat apprehensive but I found these reviews totally unfounded. From the time we arrived at 02.30am until the time we left the hotel staff were exceptionally obliging and courteous. My family were upgraded to a junior suite at no extra charge and my standard room was perfectly adequate. The free coffee and tea making facilities and a daily bottle of water were an added bonus too.
We found without exception all the staff to be pleasant and willing to help. The Customer Relations Manager and the Spa Manager were exceptionally helpful and both spoke perfect English. Some of the waiters in the restaurant made a point to come up and chat to us so they could “improve their English” The housekeepers had a very limited knowledge of English but we were soon able to communicate with sign language. The person who hired us a car was based at the hotel and again was extremely helpful (petrol is very expensive though)
Yes the hotel is on the side of a busy road but that is stated quite clearly in all the publicity materials. The double glazing is very effective in cutting out the noise. The hotel beach is on the other side of this road but the hotel has a private tunnel which makes it perfectly safe to cross the road. The beach is attended at all times by a man who provides the sunbeds and shades (all free to hotel guests) and also keeps an eye on bags etc when you are in the water (which in October was still really warm)
If I had to be picky the only negative points I would raise is the free wifi signal in my room on the 9th floor was very weak and sometimes non existent .On our last day we were not due to leave the hotel until 10.30pm but had to check out of the rooms at 12.00noon. No room was available for changing or showering later in the day. They did however have a store room for our luggage and we used the spar for showering and changing.
All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday in Turkey and would recommend the Crowne Plaza to anyone who is looking for a good standard of hotel , out of town with no hustle and bustle.
