“A wonderful hotel and restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

This beautifully restored historic hotel suited our needs very well! the staff was extremely cordial and helpful. Our rooms were lovely, quiet and nicely decorated. The charm of this hote with its balcony overlooking the flower boxes and street below, the delicious cuisine and most expecially the personnel made this a highlight of our two-week tour of Turkey.

The Otantik is a very charming Boutique Hotel in the old town. It's well located - within easy walking distance of the beach, transit, and shopping. Rooms were not large but clean, very comfortable, quiet, and unique (not "cookie cutter" like some of the major hotels). The food was some of the best we experienced during our five week trip to Turkey. An unexpected bonus was the incredibly helpful owner who arranged our transportation, obtained tickets for us to see the Swan Lake Ballet at the Aspendos Theatre, and made us feel very special during our stay. Our stay at the Otantik was one of the highlights of our trip. If you enjoy staying in smaller hotels with friendly service in the heart of the city, we'd recommend the Otantik.

We were looking forward to our stay here, some really good reviews.
Somewhat disappointed however.
Pros
* Room was a bit small but was OK, but it was clean.
* Located right over the street but relatively quiet which is a big plus, once in awhile you could
hear people walking by and if they were noisy you could hear them.
* Night time staff was great as was the dinner server.

Cons
* Not sure but I think the hotel was smoking, our room was a smoking room but fortunately did
not smell bad, but others smoking next door you could smell, not good.
* Breakfast was weak, to say the least, we got one omlet to share between us and mezzes to
share. And they served instant coffee, really weak, I eventually asked for a regular cup and got
it but, instant? Breads were good but need to be covered to be kept warm.
* No lighting in the bathroom. The main light was out so it was really dark and dank, hard to see,
and then on the last day the second light went out and they couldn't fix it.
* The bathtub did not drain, after both showers there was 6-8 inches of water in the tub.
* Morning staff person was not very attentive, served us and then was gone.

Overall the stay was not bad, the location was good right n the old city, but, we'll look for a different place next time.

This hotel is perfectly located in the old town, with an ancient and recommandable Hammam just around the corner.(i took the scrub and soapmassage, its delicious)
Breakfast is very good and the staff is nice and helpfull. Rooms with real lamp with nice light instead of the harsh light we normally get in Turkey and extreem good value, i would say it was the best hotel we stayed in during our 2 weeks round trip, the more so considering the price.
We had our car with us and since you can not park the staff parked the car at a private place behind another hotel of theirs. Super! Also Antalya is beautifull and being there with the ocean a short walk away and strolling the old streets having dried fruits or a fresh pomegranatejuice was wonderfull. We highly recommand Antalaya the old city, as well as this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors might be less noisy in summer, we were in low season and our room was located above th...

This hotel is located in the historic old town, close to practically all the main historic sights in the city center. The building has been beautifully restored. Breakfast is included and is tasty. However, the rooms can be quiet loud. You can hear everything that goes on at the restaurant.
You will not be able to find a better value for money in Turkey. The experience of staying in one of these restored houses is incredible.

Great food, very comfy bed and delicious wine. See you next year. i would certainly recommend this place to all, especially mature couples. So much to see in the old town where the hotel is located. Marina is just a little walk away. So many places to take smashing pics.
