Owner description: Aqualand offers numerous slides and water fun. Take the tramway to the final stop or take a bus from across the Migros shopping center. The park is right next door to Dolphinland, so if you wish, you can combine the two.

“True price = £100 to swim with the Dolphins at Aqualand !!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2009

When you book your trip to Aqualand beware of the price hikes. First, you pay about 30 Lire for pick up from your hotel + entrance; then you pay 12 Lire for a food ticket (they don't accept cash of any sort in the complex); then if you want to swim with the dolphins you MUST attend the dolphin and sea lion show at 35 Lire; then to actually swim with the dolphins is 60 EUROS on top. At the end of the swim of course you want photos of your experience and they are 5 Lire each for just a small snap. You will probably want 3 or 4 of these, so another 20 Lire on top. TOTAL UK POUNDS 100 FOR A DAY OUT !!!! But a wonderful experience and a 'one off' - see 3 photos attached -

“Give it a miss”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2008

We visited this park in July and I am struggling to find something positive to say about the place. My advice would be to stay away and save your money.

The trip cost 20 Euro each (approx £16) which included return transfers, entry and the obligatory visit to the Argos jewellery outlet. Departed at 8.30 am finally entered the park at 11.30 am! The park does not accept cash, so you are issued with a credit card on entry which you can load money onto – the snag is that if there is any credit left a the end of the day, we were warned that long queues form to get your cash back – and with the coach waiting to leave..... well, call me cynical but this is just pure opportunism......and just in case you're thinking of packing a picnic - don't bother, as any food you bring in will be confiscated! The whole place was jam-packed with sunbeds, you literally could not walk between them, we managed to bag 1 bed after about forty minutes and found another later in the day. We didn't realise that you had to pay extra for a ring to use on the rides (3 Euros each) and by the time we found out there were none left – they had a sign saying 'boat hire' which translates as ring hire - a bit obscure – and when we asked a member of staff about the lack of rings she just shrugged her shoulders and said 'maybe later'. We tried to take a yellow ring from the black hole ride to the crazy river but were turned away so we couldn't use this ride for the duration of our stay. The place is dirty and noisy, far too many people packed in for the size of the place, there is crazy paving everywhere filled with rough cement making it very difficult to walk on, and a huge amount of steps to the rides. I guarantee we only went on about 3 rides each in the whole day the queues were so long!

We paid for our self-service meal on the coach in advance and saved a bit (it cost around £4 for some kebab meat in a sesame bun a small tub of ice-cream and a drink – not unreasonable) but all the tables were dirty and I resorted to cleaning a table myself before we sat down. It's typical of a local authority run establishment, with incompetent staff milling around doing nothing and fobbing off customers with a shrug of the shoulders.

The day out cost the equivalent of £60 for 3 of us......add another tenner for rings if we'd managed to get them and the dolphin show (can't quote for this) and you have a very expensive and unsatisfactory day out.
