“Nice hotel - shame about the location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

We visited the Price Hotel as a last minute get away. On arrival we were greeted by the hotel porter and our cases were carried to our room. We were given the option of two rooms, a self catering one bedroom apartment or one of their "updated" rooms, the latter which we ended up in. This was nice and airy, overlooked the pool and had a large balcony.

The hotel itself is quite decent but the location is extremely bad. I felt like I was in Manchester City Centre due the traffic noise and built up areas surrounding the hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful though. It is always extremely busy around the pool areas and unless you get a towel out at 6am in the morning (which a lot of people did) you could not get a sunbed!! The beach is not a 300 metre walk as stated and is more like a 1km walk. The Harbour (which is approx 10 to 15 minute walk away) is lovely to go and eat and people watch at night - especially the Robin Hood Restaurant which is lovely.

Alanya has something for everyone and the bazaar there is one of the biggest I have seen in Turkey (apart from the large outdoor markets) there are bars, restaurants, nightclubs, fast food places which cater for everyone's taste. The only downside I would say would be that the English were the minority and they definitely cater more for Eastern Europeans. There was only myself and sister in law and one other family in our hotel that were british, so we did feel a little out of it!! Would I visit Alanya again......maybe......but I would definitely not stay in the Prince Hotel, due to the location.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view - these rooms have recently been updated!

We arrived at the Prince Apart hotel at about midnight. The reception was very efficient checking us in. We found our room and first impressions were pleasing until we looked for the fridge and kitchenette there was none. We had booked a week with self-catering facilities. We went to reception and explained that the room was unsuitable. The receptionist contacted his manager and he claimed it was the tour operators fault and we would be moved in the morning. He was true to his word and we did move into the correct room. This was situated in the older block of the hotel and we faced the swimming pool and the local Dolmus/bus station.
It was quiet at night but when morning broke and the buses got going it were noisy drivers sounding their horns.
The room was kept clean by the cleaning lady who was very friendly and she used to leave the towels in various shapes on the bed and leave little cuttings of flowers on the coffee table. The swimming pool was clean. We only had 1 meal at the hotel that was on our last day from the poolside snack bar and it was delicious and good value.
There is a criticism there are not enough safe deposit boxes for the amount of rooms at the hotel
The hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the bazaar and 25 minute walk to Cleopatra beach

i have been to many hotels, but this has a personality!
it´s clean and the people that works there are really friendly.

Room Tip: don´t choose a room next to the road, and the apartments are great

Went End of June this year, was'nt expecting much as we were on a budget. Hotel has had a full refurbishment, consists of 2 blocks, the apartments were very clean, we had maid service everyday, they were're so nice the left our bed covers in different shapes :) Only disadvantage was not enough equipment in kitchen for cooking.

Good thing about the place is its location, just 5 or 10 minutes away from the main shops and bars. Our apartment was facing main busy road which could get noisy but easy to cope with, prob best to get a pool view has this would be more quieter.

Bar staff was really nice and friendly, was out there on my birthday and even got a free cocktail and sung happy birthday to :) Food from hotel was really nice. Drinks not so expensive 5lira for a beer. I would recommend this place to anyone.

we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrive. The staff go out their way to make you feel comfortable, nothing ever seemed to be too much. The rooms were very spacious and room facilities were good.
Outside the hotel was quite noisey with traffic as you are in the middle of a working city.
The food from the hotel was lovely ther was also a wide choice of food
