“The best hotel I have ever been to!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

Me and my partner came here last summer, we came for a week around July time. I have to say hand on heart it is the best hotel we have ever been too; the hotels were cleaned every day, fresh bedding without request. Breakfast, lunch and tea were each as good as the other with great staff service and a wide selection of different food. Not only did they have the times for food highlighted they also had snack bars open throughout the day serving burgers, hot dogs, fresh fruit and some turkish cuisine. We have already booked to go back this year but this time for 2 weeks. We were greeted with a mojhito on arriving and escorted to our rooms, everyone was very friendly and happy to show us around. But I must say, the entertainment in the night was spectacular, the dancers were amazing and there was always something on for everybody. With the gym overlooking the pool is was lovely so I could sunbathe and my partner was in the gym. With the beach on the hotel it was honestly the best hotel I have ever been to, already can't wait to come back this year!!!!! Amazing!!!!

Transfer: Took 2hrs 30mins after having a 30mins stop not far from the first drop off. Journey back took even longer 3hrs with no stops but loads of pick-ups. People who left the hotel 30mins after us even arrived at the airport before us. So unless you like a long transfer this hotel is not for you.

Reception: Could do better at check in as no mention about safe in room so we took it that it was free, not the case. Fortunately was advised by other holiday makers that if you booked with First Choice it was free but we had to go back to collect what was needed to insert into safe for it to work.

Rooms: Were of a good size with sufficient room for all our clothes etc. Air conditioning worked well so that was good considering how hot it was. The cleaning of the room & frequency of towel/sheet change was good.

Restaurant: Food on the whole was good apart from a couple of occasions in the evening when all choices were a bit naff & there was no fresh fish (very yummy) being grilled. Food did become a little repetitive though after 2 weeks. First Choice customers were entitled to a free a la carte meal which we took advantage of but sadly restaurant lacked any atmosphere & most of the dishes served were not to our liking.

Grounds: Were very well maintained with lovely grassed areas under the trees & with plenty of sun beds to use. On the paths down to the beach there were fridges were you could help yourself to bottles of water or cartoons of flavoured juice.

Beach: It was very disappointing as the sand resembled grey grit with much rubbish on it. For the first 5 feet approximately into the water it was nothing but stones so was unable to walk along the water’s edge as it was very uncomfortable to walk in.

Pools: 3 in total & all were well maintained & clean but small in size. We used the ‘Relax’ one as it was nearest to our room & we like reading. Unfortunately as it was never supervised could get very noisy with foreign adults getting somewhat loud after having consumed too much alcohol. Believe management should make sure this doesn’t happen or not display all those quiet signs (in many languages) in & around this pool.

Entertainment: Never went so can’t comment but many people we spoke to said the animation team were as naff as the entertainment they put on apart from the folk dancers that performed at the hotel.

Location: Is quite secluded & if you fancy a stroll to the shops there are a few but they are on the other side of a duel carriage way & the subway was very dark & dirty. Therefore on our way back we were told where there was a break in the fencing enabling us to cross the first 2 lanes before the next 2 ending up on the path quite near the hotel. We did manage to get on the free bus into Alanya one night where there were very many shops but most of them selling the usual tat. Did find a lovely little park not far from where the bus picked up to take you back to the hotel though.

Whilst there one night we had a terrible storm causing all paths to be flooded & although they had staff trying to clear the water away we had to take our shoes off to wade through it back to our room. In the morning we saw that some of the beautiful trees were uprooted & part of the jetty was destroyed & it even smashed out one room's window but fortunately it wasn't occupied at the time. The gardening staff was soon in action clearing up the rubbish & making trees safe. Unfortunately the same could not be said about the beach as it was strewn with even more rubbish of which not much was picked up.

Brilliant place to stay! Had a great time. The food was out of this world. It was tip top on cleanliness, our maids even arranged our towles into a heart and scattered some rose pettles over our bed when they realised it was a couple staying in the room. Staff were amazing, we went with some of my family, and the staff adored my 2 year old nephew! Always kept a smile on his face. Amazing beach with plenty of space for everyone. It was 1 turkish lera to go as far as you wanted on the local bus, so no problem to go to the local towns, markets and sites. Took about an hour and a half from the airport in a shared shuttle, but was well worth the heat in that bus! Would go back again no problem or hesitation what so ever! The furthest this review will let me go back is December 2013, we stayed in August 2012. A long time ago now but was just an awesome place to stay.

We died and went to heaven for two whole weeks. Excellent service at all levels, reception could improve, but we didn't care. Food, angels dancing on your tongue, waiters, cleaner s and guzleme ladies could not do enough, so humble and helpful, managers so friendly and helpful. Even outside the people were so friendly our taxi driver Kerim is like family now. We will go back and this time we will stay for good.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

Plenty (and I mean plenty) of sunbeds. My biggest holliday annoyance is having to set my alarm to get up and go and get a sunbed only to find them all covered in towels. You don't have any of this with this hotel. It is spread over a vast area which includes a massive length of beach with sunbeds (and mattresses, umbrellas and little tables) as far as the eye can see. There are three pools all with an adequate amount of sunbeds. We went to different spots each day and at different times and had no problems sitting where we liked. There is also a garden area between the beach and hotel with sunbeds.
The free wifi is very good.
The safe in the room was also free.
The restaurant(s) although mostly outside were spotlessly clean and had plenty of variety (there should be more than one toaster though)!
Good hotel layout ensures that all rooms (I believe) have a sea view (if the palm trees are not in the way).
Nice mixture of nationalities at this hotel too even though it is a German owned hotel the common language was English. Seemed to be lots of Scandinavians and Dutch too - nice people.
Long transfer time to Antalya airport (3.5 hours) even though there is an airport closer for some reason it is not used by British airlines.
This hotel is about 5 km from the centre of town but the hotel offer a free shuttle bus in the evening plus of course, there is a the Dolmus right outside.
Evening entertainment was either excellent or rubbish. First three nights were fantastic with good quality belly dancing, international dancing and acrobats. Then it went right downhill with bingo and a German disco.
Loved the idea of the fridges dotted around the place with cartons of fruit juice and bottles of water you could just help yourself to. The coffee machines were also self service (hot chocolate is delicious),

We have just come back from a two week holiday here at Maritim Club Alantur. Beautiful hotel, very clean and spacious. First hotel where there isnt a fight just for a sunbed. Spent everyday @ the relax pool and it really was relaxing, lovely and quiet .. We feel asleep often laying by the pool. Beautiful and natural grounds, well looked after and maintained everyday. Yes the hotel is mainly for the germans and the russians but we both knew this before we came to this hotel and to be fair we had no trouble with the other guests.
Staff were friendly, the only issue we had was the transfer from the airport to the hotel took 3 hours with a stop off in between, but this hotel was the further drop off.
Plenty of places on the complex to eat and drink and the most amazing thing we found was the fridges provided along the grass and the beach which provided bottles of water and cartons of juice, which was always well stocked up, never had that anywhere else before.
The entertainment wasnt great of a night time, a few shows were good but that was about it but we wasnt really fussed as we had a drink and went up to bed.
The selection of food was brill. The egg and omelette lady in the morning was brilliant, constantly going all morning frying the perfect eggs ever, ooo and the pancakes! Mmm!
The animals were pleasant to be around, the peacocks, cats, turkeys, tortoise and turtles we checked on everyday!
Too be honest, this hotel cannot be faulted upon, good staff, good food, clean, spacious, calm, good selection of drinks.
Just want to say also the boy who worked as part of the animation team and dressed as a baby really was hilarious and really made the evenings (sorry iv forgotten his name).
Would go back!

The variety of food is limited, catering 95% of the time for the germans! Most staff are polite but some can be very rude!. The transfer from airport to hotel was 4 hours long even though we were told it would only be 2 hours long, this hoilday should not be recommened to english people, over all it is a nice hotel.
