where the hell do i begin?? we went to the dump in aug 2012. first the food is terrible but if you like food poisning go here if not try the pancakes and ommlettes there very good when there swimming in fat yeah cheers mate the pool was missing tiles so wen your going for a nice leisurly swim and end up having a cut foot and end up having a bandage on for the rest of the holiday. watch your things very closely in your rooms cos the theiving gypsys will rummage through your cases and guess what they will take it if they want it. the enternainment was funny it was like watching escaped convicts from a mental institution so that did make me chuckle. take extra money with you cos the all inclusive is crap and if you have kids that eat as much as ours does then there gonna be starving but hey least you dont have to go to weight watchers when you get home cos guaranteed you have lost at least a stone so thats a good thing bout this place. walking to the beach was like patrolling through afghanistan and comming from a soldier i know for a fact in fact afghanistan is better. having breakfast lunch and evening meals was the highlight of my days there specially trying to get the bloody cats away from our food so if your a cat person then you will like this dump! oh i almost forgot to tell you about the kiddie fiddlers hanging round the pool and trying to snatch a young kid the hotel staff didnt even raise an eye lid when the alarm was raised. so to top it all off if you want a holiday constantly staring at your kids having food with cats or if you really like pancakes and ommlettes swimming in grease the crack on because i for sure will not go back to that hell hole ever again i would rather stick pins in my eyes

In september 2012 i visited this hotel with a large group of family,friends and my fiance. The hotel itself is lovely with a great pool and nice clean rooms, you also get a mini fridge in your room which is always a bonus if your half board or self catering you can take bits and bobs from the shop and keep them there. The entertainment at night was ok, not great compared to what ive had before but it was good to have some. The staff friendly enough and always on hand, restaurant was ok, food was very limited though but i always find something to eat and enjoy it im not one to complain and be picky. There is trips you can book to go on, we went on the quads and it was well worth the money very fun! There is also a photo man who will do you a photoshoot either around the pool or next to the flowers and then you can buy them at a good price and i always think thats a bonus in a hotel. I went with a large group which had 60+ people, children age 9-10, teenagers so its suitable for all ages. Its situated in a good place with plenty on restuarants and shops around so if you fancy going out to the bar one night or eating out one night you can do it easy enough.10 minutes in a taxi is the port el kantoui famous marina with a mini theme park and restaurants and plenty of exiting things to do there for all ages. All in all i Would definatly return here. :)

to be fare the hotel is in need of a face life in some areas, i have been informed this is scheduled to be undertaken in winter months 2013...

Sunbeds not enough for everyone

Outside bar massive queues at all times of the day, this needs addressing ASAP

Rooms good size however some of our group had the odd cockroach...

Watersports i did everything they had to offer well worth a visit.

Two drinks per person rule. ( This did not go down well however we got around this re the below)
a little tip on your first day of your stay will see them rushing drinks to you even if you are last in the line at the bars and they will provide you with your full order and non of this two drinks preson rubbish that every other person has to deal with...

no issues with the food however lack of space to sit and made crazy rush to get a seat.

Stayed at soviva in sept"12. There were 6 of us 4 adults, 2 kids and another adult joined us after one week. We had a fab time here. The reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful, always aiming to please. The big pool with the waterslides is ace! It was busy when we went but plenty of room to swim or play in the water. The rooms were very basic, but lets face it, its a value for money hotel. The food was lovely - plenty of selection and omelettes cooked to order for breakfast if you wanted. Yes, the russians were annoying- pushing in at meal times ( they dont know what a queue is) and they definitely have a fetish for fruit, they brought truckloads to the tables and wasted most of it! The entertainment at night was good but the hotel is well placed for port el kantaoui and the irish bar there is a must! The only downside for me was the trek to the beach - but once there, you get well looked after and its worth it for the fabulous sands! Be prepared to get up early or tip the pool boy if you want a sunbed around the pool!

All in all a great value for money holiday - i would say id definitely return - but i already have!!!!
