“Very clean and good staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

We also got moved here from Rosa beach the hotel was fab above expectations clean and good staff the food was hot and nice with a lot being cooked to order which was slow I would say the selection of food was poor especially evenings the al a carte restaurant was vile the rooms where very nice and all hotel clean with very pleasant staff although the rep for Thomas cook Ross was terrible did not know what he was doing with us changing hotels and walked away from us when in mid conversation to deal with someone else even though we had waited all morning to see him would return if he wasn't rep

“1st time at this hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

this was myself and my friends 4th time in Tunisia, and our 1st visit to this hotel, from the moment we arrived until we left we found the staff very friendly and helpful,on arrival we were quickly checked in and as we were getting checked in we were giving a lovely cocktail and was informed as we had missed dinner there was a coffee shop to go to and get a bite to eat which was part of the all inclusive,
* rooms
the rooms were lovely and spacious, the maids came everyday and cleaned the room and always with a smile on her face even when we passed them in the corridor they always said morning or hello to you
down side was you could hear other guests scrapping chairs and some noise in the corridor with passing guests but wouldnt stop me coming here again though.
* bar
relaxing and chilled, and Lassad was fantastic as was the other bar staff but lassad could run the place single handedly, again always pleasant and had a smile on his face and served everyone very quickly and also remembered our drinks order
* coffee shop
only used this once and was relaxing to go and have a snack if the restaurant was closed
* restaurant
staff very friendly and if the restauarant was busy they always found you a table very quickly, you didnt have to look out for the waiter/waitress to get a top up of your drinks as they watched over there sections and came over when half finished your drinks to see if you would like a top up which was a nice change to having to look for someone to get you a drink with your meal. my only down side and my own opinion was i was limited to what to have for my lunch/dinner as i am a fussy eater but in saying that i always managed to find something i did like to eat at mealtime and i enjoyed.
* animation team
*EXCELLENT, there hard working and always pleasant even after there long shifts, again always had a smile on there faces, encouraging you to take part in activities but not in a pushy way. we had many a laugh with them all and they take the time to chat to all guests of all ages throughout the day and even before and after there shifts.
keep up the good work you 4 as you all are the reason i would and will visit this hotel again due to your friendly and encouraging nature.

all staff work very hard to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible.

see you all again at some point
angela & senga :-)

“animation team excellent.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

we were moved here after an experience at the rosa beach...along with other persons.
Rooms very clean and tidy. STAFF EXCELLENT and friendly.
Very quiet this time of year but the ANIMATION team work so hard, work long hours and very friendly i.e. chat to you if your sat alone. Waiters work hard.
Only downfall.... food is only warm... but chefs pleasant to us both along with waitresses.
Microwave available to heat food... but this wasnt for us.
Corridors very long... hard long walk. However the animation team always put on a smile and make it worth while. Rep Ross... not helpful.

Room Tip: woken early by noise in other rooms i.e. scraping of chairs. pick a room near reception due to long...

“total relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

hi there,

I have just come home after one week in the iberostar diar el andalous in port el kantaoui tunisia.
All i can say about this hotel that it was just heaven.
It was totally relaxing.

First i must say i flew with thomas cook from belfast and it was great, flight went ontime so it started off the holiday on a plus.
On entering the hotel the reception was very spacious and bright, the man on reception was called moussa, ( i think ) checked us in so effeciently and pleasant manner.

The restaurant was brilliant and spacious and people were not tripping over each other like in other hotels because i have been to tunisia before and i found that a problem but in diar el andalous it was the opposite.
The choice of food was amazing, it catered for everyperson and every nationality.
I noticed there was many tunisian dishes also, i dont remember the names but they were like stews but amazing.
I would recommend the brik, its lovely. Every member of staff in the restaurant was pleasant and a man called hakim showed you to your table every night and if you liked a certain table he kept it for you for your whole holiday.
After dinner myself and my friend went to the bar, well what can i say about the bar!!!
It was the place that you chilled out in each night, i know the alcohol did help but the staff there was amazing,
I have to mention them individually.
The bar manager was adel a very pleasant man who worked well with his staff.The others were jamel, lassaad. karim,neji,i hope i did not leave anyone out.
The coffee shop was a nice spot to sit in and relax away from the buzz of the bar. staff there was good also.
I saw the manager quite a lot talk freely to his guests and asking everyone were they having a good time, i think his name was mr. zghem, i found this unusual because ive never seen a manager take time to speak to tourists. I thought this was very professional and it would make me return to this hotel. The animation team were great with their boss lassaad leading them on even though it was quiet this time of year, olfa,emily i forget the other boys names. sorry.
Rooms were clean and immaculate, i stayed in 326 and it was around a corridor and peaceful. I would totally recommed this hotel. anything we wanted we got and i found it like a home from home and i would even return alone to this hotel as it was an intimate hotel and we made lots of friends. If the weather had been better i would have been on the beach as it was gorgeous. anyone who is reading this review please go to this hotel. I will be booking it again this year.

Of course after dinner myself and my friend went to the bar

Room Tip: room 326 at the end of the corridor and there is a private door for 326 and 327 to close from the ot...
