we stayed at this hotel on an all inclusive deal. after we booked it, i decided to look at the reviews of other people who may have visited this hotel before, and was quite amazed to find some awful comments. we went as a party of 5 with 3 kids as a getaway from it all on a relaxing break. well, we were taken to the most beautiful lounge i'd come across, very luxurious and so elegant, the manager offered drinks immediately, whilst the luggage attender took all our cases away. once we settled in we were shown to our rooms, again couldnt fault them, both were very spacious, clean and with a view of the pool and the airport. Although the airport was across the road, it didint bother us at all with the noise. the rooms were cleaned out everyday and the male cleaner went to some great lenghts to make sure it had a different theme with the towel arrangements everyday! the staff in the bar were also fantasic, as were the animation team who worked effortesly all day long to keep the adults and the kids alike amused. the staff at the restaurant were equally very helpful right upto the manager, who made sure the food was well and plentiful. there was a different choice twice a day and different everyday too. coudn't fault anything. they are only too willing to help you out no matter what. they didnt work for tips, as one would think, the staff really went out of there way for everyone! its' got a large indoor heated pool, a santuary somewhat, when you just want to go and chill or have a drink and relax, no interfearing from anyone. outside, there is a kids park area and some outdoor atcivities as well as a large outdoor heated pool. the area out an about is rather desolate, not much going on, although there are hotels nearby, it's pretty quiet! that's what we went for and it was just perect, as at times you could do with getting away from the busy lives we live and relax! dont always rely on the reviews, like what we read, was awful ie: the food is cold, crap not much choice, (my son and hubby are somewhat fussy eaters, but this over took all) the russians and germans are rude its noisy etc. i say some are very misleading comments. some awkward people like to have like 5 star, but this beats it all. all in all, a perfect get away, with the white sandy beech, no local to bother you, just try it and find out!
do try and get out an about if you want to see the culture, as we hired a taxi for the day and the driver showed us all places of interest, for only £25. we went to monastir town, sousse, and port el kantoui, there is a zoo there too and a small theme park. sousse is far too busy but try an av a go at bartering if you dare, we loved it an bought plenty of gifts and soveneirs!
as we went on a break, it is so safe to let your children play safe and well as there are security cameras at all entrances to the hotel. you never have to think twice where they are as theyre always manned by staff/security. do visit this place, and you will be totally amazed!
