“Had an excellent time!! Dont believe all you read!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2009

Had a very enjoyable stay!! Staff were so friendly & helpful, hotel clean but basic, great sea views from room. The animation team were great always trying to get you involved. Food was a bit hit and miss always plenty there and variety we never went hungry!!! No trouble with flies as seen in past reviews not even bitten by a single mozzie!!!! Overall had a very enjoyable time not as bad as past reviews have made out!! You get what you pay for and we were most happy.

If you have booked this hotel from a brochure promising all-inclusive with snacks and local spirits you will be disappointed. However if you have booked at the last minute and are a bit open-minded about what is and isn't all-inclusive you might find that you have a quiet, sunny break at this small hotel.
It is not true about the limited choice in the dining room. At breakfast there is a selection of cereals and milk, cheeses, cold meats and salad plus a chef who will cook eggs fresh for you. At lunchtime there is a salad buffet, choice of 4 or 5 hot dishes and always pasta cooked fresh by the chef. There was always a selection of fresh fruit and cakes for desert and sometimes ice cream. There was a similar choice in the evening. The people who complained were people who did not appear to like different food: they piled their plates high with chips and pasta and quite often left the food half eaten. They took whole bottles of water/Coca Cola/ Sprite to their tables and just left them when they had had enough. The state of the dining room was appalling after some of the guests has left. People came in straight from the pool dripping wet and left pools of water everywhere.
And then the flies! The dining room was air-conditioned but many of the guests insisted in opening the patio doors/ windows which allowed the flies to come in. The dining room staff tried to keep the food covered either with cling film or napkins but guests just left the food uncovered. In a similar vein, parents allowed their children to go to the buffet on their own to chose food. I saw a child helping herself to cakes with her fingers, licking them and then returning the cakes! Adults were no better: they didn't use the cloth napkins to hold bread whilst they sliced it.
We went to the dining room later than most people and the staff were always very helpful and made sure that we had a table that was freshly set. We enjoyed most of the food. There was always something we could eat.
As far as the rooms are concerned, they are a little past it but they are clean and everything was in working order including the air-conditioning.
If you have a room overlooking the entertainment area and pool, it will be very noisy because of the foam parties. If you have a side room, it will be quiet apart from the occasional braying of donkeys. Our room had a lovely view overlooking the sea and palm trees.
This is a small, unsophisticated 2* hotel on the beach with no other facilities nearby. If you want to relax in the sun and are not a fussy eater, then this is not a bad hotel for the late availability deals. If you want more, go somewhere else!

I booked a late deal at the Neptunia Beach Hotel for myself
and my mother. Unfortunately i did not read the reviews beforehand
because it was a late deal and needed to be booked ASAP. Big mistake.
Arrived at reception and was greeted by ignorant staff with bad attitudes.
The food was extremely poor with very limited choice "only
water Mellon for dessert at every sitting". Their were flies
constantly on the food and the restaurant was always dirty, the
tables were never cleaned. You had to lay your own table with stained
table cloths. Breakfast consisted of toast and boiled eggs. The
hotel only purchased a toaster the week before, after complaints from
an English couple. My mother spent a day in bed with sickness
and diarrhea.
It was an all inclusive package but the bar closed at 10 PM on the
dot. I watched as a local man ordered and drank a glass of
water from the bar, when he had finished, the barman didn't wash the
glass, he just turned it upside down and put it with the other
"clean" glasses ready for someone else to use.
Most of the deck chairs and deck beds on the beach were broken. Their
were also a lot of Jelly fish in the sea. Some people had stings off
them. To top it all off, i had £80 stolen from my purse, which was
in my locked room. The management weren't interested, they told
me they had called the police, but clearly they hadn't. The manager
kept fobbing me off. Another couple had £100 stolen after their
door was forced. I have travelled many times to Tunisia and
really love the country, but this is by far the worst experience i
have ever encountered.
Please please do not stay at this DUMP. You have been warned.
Feel free to email me with any queries or questions.

Although Neptunia Beach advertises All Inclusive Service, it definitely is NOT. The usual or basic niceties you expect from all-inclusive throughout the day like snacks (pizza slices sandwiches or chips) ice creams for the children kids club or entertainment for the children. What we did get NEPTUNIA BEACH ALL INCLUSIVE was 10.00am to 10.00pm (not midnight) was a very restricted bar service with attitude from bar staff after 10.00pm everything had a charge. One cheap ice-lolly was delivered with a waiter with a cooler box to the children by the pool between 3pm and 4pm if you were lucky (no lollies were given out on Sundays!).
Once a lolly was given, he left. Pancakes and Panini’s were made occasionally during the day by the poolside but you had to pay for them. Daughter cut her foot on broken glass around the pool when wearing crocs was told to take them off no shoes allowed but glass definitely! Daytime entertainment for children was darts, water polo, or water gym, the children’s clubroom was closed. The pizza room was closed! Tried complaining as sister hotel across the road was better, to no avail. The dining hall was unclean as health inspectors had called twice whilst we were there, food was very poor compared to sister hotel across the road – Liberty Hotel. Food repetitive, (okay if you like eggs for breakfast, lunch and tea). A Family hotel it is not as there are loud out door disco's and foam parties until at least 3.00 a.m.
In total very, very poor service Not what you pay for Stay clear of Neptunia Beach.
Many other complaints were made and families were told to contact London!
