“disgusting hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2011

my friend and i have just returned from a month in this hotel. 4star it is not!!! more like -4star. The food was never hot even though we went down at 7pm,opening time,it was the same every day,the kitchen staff had filthy chef outfits on,the tablecloths were filthy and left on 3days and more, the white ones had stains that must have been there for months, just plain dirty. the staff were not of clean appearance they were very offhand and just dismissed comments that we made. we were the only 2 english in for most of time, this hotel not really for english holidaymakers. the bedrooms ok needed updating. no hairdryer, most 4star have these, in fact 3star hotels have them. we have been tunisia many times, stayed in 2star that have been superior to this. worst holiday we have ever had. no fridge in room but in advertisement says there is one. we could have had one for 5dinars a day!!!! in england this hotel would have been closed due to the poor hygiene in the restaurant and the bad food. T he only good thing was our terrific rep who must have got fed up of our moans, she did constantly go to the manager with our complaints.but it didnt make much difference.

We were dumped in this hotel by Youhotels as they had failed to pay the bill for the hotel we had originally booked. This is certainly not of a 4 star quality. The hotel is rundown, the food is terrible and the all inclusive drinks a joke!. Were arrived to a pool full of local families doing pool aerobics and it was chaotic!, there were no english guests only a few german. The beach bar consists of a man standing behind a table with a bottle of coke, lemonade, and water with the smallest cups you have ever seen. It's one saving grace is what the receptionist is very nice and the beach not too bad.

Arrived just after the revolution. Only 5 brits during the week but it filled up with Tunisians at the week end. Service great, hotel could do with a re furb as it looked clean but tired. It was taken over by new owners while we were there so I think this will be done over the winter. Near to the beach and water park andI had a good time.

Hotel Albatros is a lovely hotel! Very clean, with helpful and friendly staff. Great choice in meals. All-inclusive service was perfect. Not far from the beach.
Definately a yes, yes, yes!

This hotel has the usual unfriendly and unhelpful Tunisian male staff!
I wanted to use the internet and was told sternly I had to pay upfront!
I wanted to use my laptop but was told I could not, no reason, just NO!
I then sat down and slightly moved the pc screen to face me, and then had it pushed back to the position it was.

Tunian men need to learn that the customers are important.
I never used the internet again, and they took no money from me again.

Fifteen of us stayed at this hotel ranging from 52 to 6 (includes four teenagers. The transfer is very long and hot. The hotel is very clean you have a fridge in your room and there is free air con.
The pools are very clean and warm.
Bar staff at the pool bar were friendly, bar staff inside were at times not so friendly but they worked very long shifts, we tipped a few times when we bought drink after 10 p.m and I found they remembered this and were a lot more friendly after that.
Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed, the maids made designs on the bed with your nigh wear and were very friendly. It is custom to tip for this service.
The animation team are fantastic, they entertained day and night and made sure that everyone enjoyed themselves, the evening entertainment was good.
Beach close by and also the water park is five minutes walk away, a good day out.
The food is a bit repetative and as said before not a lot of english dishes but this is Tunisia. You will never go hungry there is alway something.
For what we paid for this holiday we got good value. Would recommend.
