Stayed 11-18 November. Wasn't sure what to expect of the hotel, resort or weather as it was out of season but our minds were soon put at ease.

Hotel:
Clean, with good amenities. The rooms were of average standard, in good order and comfortable. The pool area was well looked after with plenty of sunbeds available and the pool assistants were quick to help you get a good spot and provide soft covers for the sunbeds.

The waiters were all polite and friendly, and on the ball, some especially so and we soon had our favourites! Despite some reviews we did not need to tip for good service but chose to at the end of the holiday.

The food was lovely with a good variety and always plenty available. There was food to suit everybody and it was always fresh. You could see the chefs baking bread and cooking the food for lunch in the dining area of the pool bar every day. We also used the Mexican restaurant which was lovely although a set menu.

We made use of the spa, having a Turkish bath treatment which lasted approx 1 1/2 hrs for 70dinar (£28) and included Turkish bath, algae treatment, full body scrub and massage and was a lovely, relaxing experience.

Resort:

Although the hotel is one block away from the beach, it is easily accessible, although we didn't use it as the sea was quite rough due to high winds. The pool area was a lot more sheltered!

The hotel was within easy walking distance of all Yasmine Hammamet had to offer, nice bars, restaurants, shops and medina although due to the time of year, it wasn't very busy.

Overall we had a lovely holiday and despite the odd afternoon of overcast weather, we always found something to do and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a 4 star hotel in Yasmine Hammamet.

we had a great time!
food .. 7/10 .
..certainly not the worst food I've ever eaten.. but not 7* either ..always something for someone! pasta.. beef.. lamb.. lovely salad.. chips .. pizza .. gorgeous ice cream and pudding ......warning..watch out for the chicken they don't tend to over cook it nor the fish either!
rooms.. 9/10
good clean tv fridge balcony beds comfy enough (pillows a bit hard) bath and shower good.. maid service every day.. used bottled water for teeth just incase! which is free from the bar
drinks.. 8/10 .. a tip.. have wine by the bottle it taste better than by the glass.. there's cocktails .. beer etc bar staff are lovely!
animation 10/10... animation team are very friendly.. lots of activities.. archery .. darts .. aerobics ..water aerobics.. dancing ... bouls . mini golf... all good fun!
staff.. 9/10 all staff very nice and helpful
spa.. had a massage .. staff not very friendly really .. and felt a bit beat up after my massage!
pool.. nice and clean but freezing cold in Nov but the inside pool is nice and warm
Internet .. free in reception
shop .. things just as cheap in the hotel shop as outside and the staff are lovely too.
be careful if you go shopping out doors you can get ripped off if you are not careful.
beach ..10min walk down the road to the beach.. beach bar not open in nov and winter months
... not the best hotel in the world but the staff are lovely and we had a great time despite the weather being wet and cloudy in nov .. :)
would recommend!

ok so we went off peak. November! i travelled with mum, dad, my brother and his family and my husband and my two young (blond) girls. airport was good, transfer was good.when we first arrived at the hotel it was very pleasent and the reception team were lovely, first tip ( have change to tip at airport and hotel concierge ( they will wait for a tip!) rooms were fine on first glance, clean and large( no worries about creepy crawlies or anything!) food was very edible. always something to eat for adults and children. never had to wait at the bar and if you had to during peak there are many bars! bar men generally freindly (especially hasan). went to the local medina, im quiet a confident girl but even then i was actually nervous as the shop owners are very persistant two words, lu shukran! it means no thanks in arabic and they will leave you alone!!
Bad Points- entertainment team are rubbish! its all too sex orientated to be a child friendly resort! dont like telling my four year old why when mummy is playing darts she is being spanked by a flipflop by the entertainment guy. kids club was shockingly poor! very run down, not secure and run by one woman who would rather sit playing on her phone than looking after your children. Saturday nights are open to locals who have no manners so you have to really queue up for dinner and also accept that they dont know about taking turns! if you travel with blond children be prepared as many locals picked them up at the pool (without permission) to have their photos taken with them. beach was not great in november as it was jelly fish season but can imagine in peak season that it is a lovely beach! Also in off peak season you may end up having your entertainment in what we ended up referring to as the dank pit! underground cave that was hot, smoky and too loud, outside though the entertainment area was fine! the day time entertainment was really poor, no structure all they care about is who will get them vodkas without the boss knowing!
Good points! huge outdoor pool, indoor pool for the slightly colder days! amazing chocolate pancakes! happy and friendly hotel manager, and if after my review you still go seek out hasan the bar man coz he is lovely and helpful!
Overall- if your a young couple without children, go for it! if you have children especially blonde i would look else where. i wont be returning to tunisia or this hotel.

We wanted a holiday that consisted of sitting around a pool and not seeing anything of the country we were visiting , then this hotel was the one for us..
The hotel was clean, the rooms were serviced daily.
The pool area was busy but we always found a sun lounger.
The entertaining staff were amusing but could be over attentative to females although if you made it obvious you didnt want the attention they left you alone.
Our 2 restaurant waiters Adnan and Hedi were faultless, always had a smile, were ready for your next drink as you finished the last. The food was perfectly acceptable. although would become repetitive if staying more than 7 nights..
The beach is just terrible camel dung horse dung and loads of rubbish so we took one look and went back to the hotel pool.
Overall i would recommend this hotel , if you looking for a lazy week, laying by a pool to recharge your batteries.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1102 which was very quiet, and looked on to a small garden and not the pool. Which...

we have just got back from chich khan- what a holiday there were 5 of us ranging from 50years old to an 8year old and entertainment to fit all! the animation team (moez, joe, tito, chouchou and black) work very hard and they were fantastic + made our holiday :). All the staff were friendly and the food was good and plenty to choose from everyday. you didnt have to move from the pool the staff bought everything to you. outside the hotel though was a little scary as locals hasseling you. The beach was very dirty, maybe this was because it was out of season. i recomend going on the pirate ship £80 for 5 of us. over all a fantastic holiday - i will be booking again but in september :-) from Toni + Toni 2

If you want a holiday that consists of sitting around a pool and not seeing anything of the country you are visiting , then this hotel could be the one for you , the hotel is a bit tired typical of a 2-3star quality , the staff are friendly and when asked to sort a problem got it sorted quite quickly the food is ok not great but ok and plenty of choice , the beach is just terrible camel dung horse dung and loads of rubbish , if you look at all the reviews nobody says very much about the beach , a bit strange .
Why I say this is a pool holiday is one the state of the beach and two the traders , the good fun you can have by bartering doesn't seem to go on here , I was spat at when I refused to by some shorts , and another holiday maker was locked in a shop and felt so intimidated that shelled a whole load of money on a bit of tat jewelry , we spoke to quite a few people and they all had a story to tell about the traders , the reps made out that you might have a bit of good humoured banter , not so , the reps should make sure that holidaymakers are aware of the level of intimidation that is happening here , I can look after myself and am aware of the sort of things that can happen in certain countries but there are a lot of people that are not as streetwise and they need to be protected by being told how it is , I can't believe that we picked the wrong two weeks to visit Tunisia and these sort of happenings are the norm now

Just got from chich khan on sunday and all i can say is that i LOVED it!!! We arrived very late on sunday night but the staff at reception were very friendly and cheerful. The hotel definitely had the wow factor as we walked in and even more so on the monday when we woke and wandered around. The room was very clean and cleaned every day by the maids who were also very friendly. There was enough variety food wise for every one and again i cannot fault the staff, especially one waiter called othman who very helpful. The pool - fair enough there isn't a lot of space around the pool itself but the place is big enough that you can sunbathe in gardens and not be disturbed. The entertainment team - well they are in a league of their own. They were great and i personally formed good friendships with them. Once you get involved with their activities which are a good laugh then you are in for a great holiday and would have liked to stayed in contact with them but didn't swap details but I am already looking at going back next. All in all and great holiday the best I have had.
