“Lovely retirement break...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

Stayed here end of February to beginning of March as a present after leaving armed forces.as a solo traveler it was a lovely hotel to spend some relaxing time in.met some great people had a great laugh, yes if you read this you will know who youse are, made my holiday a great time.hotel faultless, only problem was wifi terrible in rooms, but so what the lobby is a great place to chill with a nice coffee.food was gorgeous, sometimes repetitive but very tasty, I never had a dodgy belly once.mike the rep was amazing, helpful and funny the whole time. Trips were great especially the quads even in the pouring down rain, ask for a big bike they are great fun,the guy in lobby who does the quads does the best quads tour so I recommend booking with him, roughly 100 dinar for two people.massages and scrubs at hotel was amazing very relaxing.hotel was quiet tho due to time of year but it's a gorgeous hotel.the local marina is a beautiful place to go for a walk so well worth a trip, out gate left then left u can't miss it.would I return????? Yes but in peak season.....WARNING!!!!!! You will be approached by men saying they work at hotel and they recognise you.walk away and say no thank you.they are all con men praying on tourists, turn your wristbands inside out it makes it harder for them to spot you..

The whole stay was very enjoyable.
Check In - Very Smooth - Thanks Mohamed for room change, greatly appreciated.
Hotel staff - Always polite and courteous.
Room - Spotless and cleaned every day.
Food - Plenty of choice and well presented/cooked.
Entertainment Team - Good, worked incredibly hard and had something for everyone - Special thanks to Mario :-) Abdul and Raba
Beach - Clean apart from the usual stuff that is washed ashore.
Marina - Lovely and a nice little walk out.
Special thanks to MIkey First Choice Rep for sorting the little problem out - Nothing major.
All in all a fantastic winter break, weather good considering Feb.
Only real complaint which is nothing to do with hotel is the amount of hassling from shops outside the hotel complex - way over the top to the extent it was uncomfortable when we visited Old Hamamet and had to leave. Even the taxi driver tried to whisk us away from our original destination.

Room Tip: I would recommend a front facing sea view - ours was 3069

Just got back from a 10 night holiday in Marco Polo. Can not find fault at all. Food plenty of variety, rooms immaculately clean, entertainment fabulous. Mikey the rep very friendly and helpful, so was Adel (spelling) the Tunisian tour guide. Weather warm but take a jumper for nights and cloudy days.
I have little patience for people complaining about trivial rubbish 'eggs not cooked right or beaches dirty'..... the med is beautiful and has natural bits of sea weed etc, this is natural and NOT litter. If you walk down the beach towards the old Medina (6 miles), (politely telling the locals you do not want a camel/horse ride as you go) the beaches are amazing....
Be careful of taking out too much money however, a couple had their wallets taken, best to travel light and store belongings in hotel safe.
A fab trip, high lights being the weather, food and friendly helpful staff.

Room Tip: Sea views are beautiful.

Me and my husband stayed for 11 nights in February. Great hotel, weather was very good. It was first hotel that we stayed and had a entertainment team. We enjoyed very much. Hotel was nice, food was okay. Rooms always clean. You always have want to do, games in morning and afternoon, entertainment shows every night. With this hotel want I liked that you don't have to leave hotel if you don't want you have everything in hotel. Animators team was amazing! They working so hard to keep guest happy. Always with a smile, always polite. They made our holidays. we had best time! can't wait to go back!

Right here goes....
I am sick and tired of reading peoples reviews on this hotel, staff, food and entertainment as been disappointing.
First of all, ALL the animation team are the most hard working and friendly people we have ever met and really made our holiday and gave us great entertainment and laughter on a night time, thankyou so much Mario, Abdul, Lilou, james, zezu (sorry about spelling) and the 3 girls.

Food - well if you don't like rice, pasta, fish, chicken, turkey, beef, steak, tuna, chips, jacket potato, couscous, soups, vegtables, varied salads, eggs, pizza, mousaka, macaroni, lasagne, hamburgers, cheeses, pate, varied breads, desserts, icecream and pacakes then this is not case of the food been repetitive it is a case of you been picky...sorry to be truthful.

Pancakes and snacks served all day

Yes the spirits are not what we have at home but you are not at home you are in Tunisia and all inclusive so I reckon that's good enough. You can make up any cocktail you like as the bar staff are simply brilliant and very friendly.

Rooms are what you need with plenty of space for your clothes with a wardrobe shelves and 3 big draws. The cleaners do a very good job and rooms are always left spotless.

Reception very helpful and have good English.

Contrary to what someone else said on here bout the water is rubbish. You get 1-2 bottles which ever you ask for and it could not possibly have anything else in it as it is a sealed screw top.

Toiletries in the bathroom consist of 2 soaps and 2 soap dispenser, not really sure what people are expecting. Clean towels everyday.

You don't need to take beach towels as these are provided from reception. Do think this might be a lot busier during peak time.

Cleaning staff are constantly cleaning everywhere in the hotel it is immaculate.

Mikey the rep is ' simply the best' shame he leaves in April but Bulgaria are going to be lucky to have him. We couldn't thank him enough for sorting things out for us.

This hotel is well worth a visit and we have come home yesterday 2/3/14 after a 2 week stay and we really miss the entertainment team.

I could keep going on so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Stayed for a week in February, picked a great week, weather was fantastic. The food was really good, lots of choice. Service was fantastic, all the staff couldn't do enough for us.
There was entertainment on each night and it was ok on some nights but others not so great. Reminded me bit of Phoenix club on one night, with man sat playing keyboard singing along!!! The cocktails certainly helped that night more enjoyable! Animation team all really friendly.
We would go again. Thanks for a great relaxing time riu.
