My wife and I have stayed at the Pinetree every 4th of July for several years. We find it to be entirely different then any hotel we stay at. While the hotel is not perfect in that it could use a few repairs, the beauty of the river coupled with the very unique character of the resort more than makes up for the imperfections. If you are looking for perfection, this is not your place. If you are looking for a truly unique experience with breathtaking views....look no further.

It was not worth the money. The room was not as clean as it should have been, and the smoke from the next room came through the cracks under the connecting door. Building and grounds need a spruce-up. It was disappointing. The view of the river is spectacular. It could be a magnificant resort with basic renovations and regular maintenance.

Staff was friendly.

We went to Pinetree Point for the first time in Sept of 2003. We are waiting for them to reopen for the season to book a trip for the end of May. This charming well mantained resort is deffinately worth the money and drive time to get there.
Our room was o.k. it was clean and well kept. We ate our meals in the
diningroom and they were all very good.The staff at Pinetree Point were
all very nice and we received our confirmation and room info in a
timely manner.The grounds and the view from our room were absolutely
beautiful.
We can't wait to go back, we are bringing friends with us this time.

We found Pine Tree by taking a stroll through town. Wow, what a
wonderful find! The grounds are beautiful and spacious. We stayed in a
suite that had a great view of Boldt Castle and the ships were passing
by right in front of our room.
Shame on those people who write all these bad things about Pine Tree, they must have had a bad experience elsewhere on their trip because this hotel is a great place to stay.
