Joey's restaurant is located on Wellesley Island in the 1000 Islands and accessible by boat or car. Had great expectations since so many people come to this location that have been to Joey's in Syracuse. Extremely disappointed on all fronts. Supposedly known for Italian food, found the entire menu to be limited at best. The supposed "secret" Italian recipe tasted out of the jar and wasn't even close to the likes of Carrabas, Mac Grill, or Olive Garden at half the price and ranked as such in the Syracuse area. $32.95 for a filet mignon is approaching Ruth Chris pricing and totally out of scope for the area that sees a filet at the grocery store for $11.99 a pound. Only thing that definitely caught appeal was the stuffed shrimp appetizer (4) but not at $10.95. Chicken dinner, share app, 2 drinks at $56 person incl. tip outprices the area by 50% easily. When asking the bartender for a drink with "light" ice, shocked to see her fill it an inch above the rim. I asked her about it. She said "the owners insist all drinks be made this way. It's the rules". A definite miss by a mile in my book.
