“Spacious villas, excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Despite being literally 5 minutes from the airport, Perennial Resort is 400m from one of the quietest and most low key beaches in Phuket, because the shoreline here is a national park. Food and drinks are still available on the beach from motorcycle vendors parked on the street, but there are no hawkers, and few foreigners. It's mostly Thais who enjoy this part of the beach, and it is pretty easy to find a shaded spot of sand because the beach is backed by a stand of old Casuarina trees, so no need for beach umbrellas. The main drawback is that there is a fair amount of trash on the beach, but we feel that's a small price to pay for such a natural beach in such a central location. Great for families.

The resort itself is lovely, the young owners are super friendly and helpful, the food is great, and the grounds are perfect for kids to run around on. The pool and several new units will be finished in a month. There is a selection of beach toys for kids to take to the beach with them, a hammock, and a big tree swing.

There are several good and cheap Thai street stalls just down the street, and a few more foreigner-oriented places including a pizza place on the main street 600m away.

Minuses? The garden is not a super lush tropical jungle, but because of it is probably a better place for kids to romp in. There is construction next door at the moment, but it didn't actually bother us. If you've been to a Thai beach before, you know that there is always construction somewhere, unless you are in a large gated resort, which is not our thing. The living rooms of the villas don't have AC, so if you need to close the bedroom door, you have to rely on the fan. However, the living room has two doors to the outside, and so you can get a good cross-breeze going. The owners are also considering adding AC to the living rooms, so you may want to ask about that.

Me and my wife spent 1 night in Perennial resort after we arrived to the Phuket airport. The owners (young couple) of the resort picked up us on the airport (free of charge) and they were so kind and helpful! The staying in resort was excellent - villa was perfect, beautiful garden and very good breakfast. We visited the beach on the bikes in the morning,it was perfect.
It was really very nice time in this resort, which is only about 5 minutes from the airport..the best beginning of our Honeymoon trip in Thailand :) The owner told us, that the swimming pool will be ready this year too.
We spent really nice time in this lovely resort.

This place is amazing. I loved the decoration and atmosphere. Everything was so well thought. They offer bikes for free so you can bike to the beach which is 10 minutes away. The couple that runs the hotel is super kind and helpful. They picked us up for free from the airport and since we had to leave at 6 am on our second day they prepared and packed a delicious breakfast for us. They are also building a swimming pool. Stay here if you can!

Room Tip: I think all 3 villas are the same

We loved our 1 night stay at the Perennial Resort. The owners collected us from the airport and ensured a very comfortable stay. The rooms were a treat - we loved the space and decor. Our 3 young children enjoyed the lovely garden between the villas which has been designed beautifully. Great stay and very easy if you need a place to stay close to the airport. Highly recommend this place!

We spent our first night in Phuket here as our plane didn't land until about 23:00. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the resort, which is only about 1.5KM away. Our room was the Honeymoon suite, which was quite cheap and very spacious. This consisted of a bungalow with a living room, bed room with large ensuite bathroom that contained a wooden bathtub and separate shower. There is also free WiFi and a well manacured garden. Breakfast was included with the choice or an eastern or western style. The food was very nice and the service from the time we were greeted at the airport was faultless. There is no pool, however a nice unpopulated beach is only 500m away - which you can choose to walk or ride a bicycle provided by the resort. There is a bit of airport noise but we didn't notice it during the night as the AC was running. We wouldn't hesitate to have another overnight stay there when we return to Phuket.

We had a great stay here. 3 villas on the property which made it small and cosy. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. They ensure that our stay was comfortable by offering to drive us out to dinner to dropping us off to the airport to delivering breakfast right to our doorstep. We will definitely be back next time. Thank you perennial for having us :)

We came to Phuket to explore the region, not for the beach scene. This lovely Inn, near the airport, was perfect. For about $100 per night, we had a lovely, spacious, modern three room bungalow with AC, deep wooden bathtub and separate shower, TV, small fridge and kitchen sink, good WiFi, and a beautiful yard. Hot breakfast is included (served in your room) with choice of American, Thai, continental. I had the Thai which was a green chicken curry soup, rice, fried egg, fresh mango, and juice...yum! Wife just had croissants and fruit, quite nice. It's literally 1/4 mile from the entrance to the large uncrowded beach and there were free bicycles there to borrow (we rented a car). The young couple who own it couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, and charming. They will even pick you up at the airport. Some nearby construction and airport noise, occasional power outage, but we were gone all day so no problem. I wish they had a pool but otherwise a great place!
