Having been impressed by the Oasis Spa in Bangkok. We picked Oasis Laguna as our "end-of-holiday-final-treat" to celebrate our Phuket stay. And we were not disappointed.
Oasis Spa has 3 branches in Phuket I believe and this one is the closest to our resort. According to the Tripadvisor photos they also offer lovely spa environment (wooden hut open to the lagoon), so we picked this one.
The environment is as advertised on their website and Tripadvisor photos. It seems to be a very small spa centre with a very subtle entrance. It looks like any high street small shop that you would overlook easily. However, upon entering the shop you found yourself stepped into a complete different world. The spa probably have 4 to 5 individual spa room. All built with wooden/bamboo materials. Inside you have the spa beds, antique-looking overhead fan, a wide window open to the lagoon.
There is no AC, no glass window, just simple curtains. Each room comes with its own shower. All looks very clean, very tropical, very well decorated and maintained. When we lied down for the treatment, we could feel the warm wind sweeping through the lagoon's water and then blushing pass our bodies. You could feel the temperature chaining as the day passed slowly by - waves of warm and soothing natural air. Aside from the calming melody they always play in a quality spa, there were all sorts of voices from surrounding wild lives (birds in the lagoon or on tree top, horses - I believe there are some horse-riding centre nearly). Together with the warm hands of our therapists, the whole experience was just HEAVENLY.
As commented on my previous post about the Bangkok branch, the whole spa procedure has been smooth, with therapists giving you all the attention they can give. When we were changing cloths, turning our bodies around, they made sure they were not looking to give us as much privacy as possible. Towels are changed constantly. Ropes are given when we needed to pop into the toilets. Water and refreshments supplied and we were given enough time to enjoy them by the lagoon water, in absolute tranquility.
All together the experience was just superb. Absolutely a highlight to our trip. There are only 2 things that make me take on star off from my rating:
1) Its toilet. Unfortunately you only have private shower in the treatment room but not a private toilet. It is outside, near the reception and it looks just like a public toilet. It is quite a contrast to the superb settings inside each treatment hut. You also need to ask the therapist to give you a rope to wear to walk all the way to the toilet if you need it in the middle of your treatment.
2) Each treatment hut is very small and they attachment to each other. With its open settings, sometimes you can hear other customers' chatting and showering.
However with the treatment quality and the fantastic open-air spa experience (you will find the open wind and air way much more soothing then any air-conditioned room), I suppose these 2 downsides could be off set.
Will definitely try more Oasis Spa branch in the future.
