“Best hotel in phuket”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012 via mobile

We read all the reviews, thought Twinpalms could not be that good, but it is
Certainly the best hotel here.great room with direct pool acess. Restaurants are very
good, breakfast is excellent. We went on and adman cruise on the MV Olympia
A most memorable day on a classy cruiser. No more speedboat tours for us.
Catch beach club is excellent also and watching some people just stand there and get
Smacked in the head by a 1 metre shore dump is sheer delight, haha.
Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back.

We have just returned from spending 3 fantastic nights at twinpalms. I originally booked the duplex pool suite and to our surprise we got upgraded to the penthouse. All I can say is wow! We organized a package that included return airport transfers and lunch for 'Sunday brunch' via slh.com. We were greeted by our resident host 'chart' at the airport with cool drinks and refreshment towels and upon arrival at the resort we were both given fresh flower bracelets and cocktails. Our checkin was conducted in our room with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. Lounge, kitchen, dining 1st floor, bedroom and bathroom 2nd floor and the 3rd floor being the private rooftop pool. If you didn't want to go to breakfast (which was part of the package) you could order it to your room, which we did everyday. Our resident host even brought us fresh fruit platters each day.

Across the road is the catch beach club that serves happy hour from 6-7. Great cocktails and the food was great too. Chilled out tunes watching the sunset.

Sunday brunch at the oriental spoon is definitely something you need to do. There is a wide selection of food that is fantastic (seafood, pastas, salads, etc.)There is a small section at the front of the restaurant that you can make your own cocktails.

We booked a couple of massages at the hotel and the staff were fantastic. Even though we were both burnt, it was so relaxing and quite reasonable prices. For every 1000baht you get a stamp on your twin palms loyalty card that you can redeem for things like CDs, tshirts, caps.

If you can afford to stay in the penthouse or the duplex pool suites I can highly recommend it. I am pretty fussy with my accommodation, but by far this has been the most memorable. Thank you to all the staff that made this possible. We will definitely be back!

This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. We received a room upgrade upon arrival. The Grand Deluxe room has a great layout with plenty of space to stretch out, long table to setup computer, etc., spacious bathroom area with his & her sinks, and well-placed ottoman bench in the changing area. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with a large selection, including delicious lox and made to order dishes. The library has computers for guests and is stocked with books, movies, and travel information while staffed with very knowledgeable personal who booked a van transfer for us at a surprisingly competitive price. The entire hotel staff was friendly and professional. The gym is packed (a bit too cramped) with free-weights, universal and cardio equipment and kept very cool with good air circulation. The pool is outstanding with a unique design. Surin beach is beautiful and the Catch Beach club is worth a visit. The indoor garage with security is very convenient if you rent a car. Did not visit the resort spa, so can't comment.

I just returned from spending a 3 night weekend in Twinpalms… I was already familiar with the area since I stayed at The Surin a couple of years ago, but this time I wanted to try Twinpalms since the location and beach is as good as Surin, but at a more affordable rate… I must say my expectations were exceeded…

I will make it brief…

PROS:

One of the best, if not the best, beach in Thailand.. truly stunning! It is well kept, clean white sands, turquoise crystal clear waters…

Solid property… nice layout of the hotel, great rooms, good size bathrooms, comfortable beds, nice bedding and designish details all over the place… pool is really nice too...

Superb gym… I know that many people don’t care about this, but the gym at Twinpalms is really well equipped, spotlessly clean and functional… they offer personal trainers for general fitness, thai boxing and yoga and I truly recommend the experience.. I took 2 thai boxing lessons with Jay and i am hooked! amazing service and truly professional... give it a try and burn some calories after those pad tais...

Great service… from the warm check-in with cranberry and champagne to the speedy checkout, service is faultless…

Yummy food… whether thai or western style, Twinpalms delivers…

Nice details… I really liked the library.. it is a great idea to have a place to spend some time reading, flicking some magazines, using the macs or simply checking the dvd variety… nice touch!!!

Fun beach club… even if it is a 5 minute walk from the beach to the hotel, it is really pleasant and Catch beach club is truly amazing… during the day or in the daily night parties, it truly delivers… on top of that, they serve great food and service is swift and friendly…

CONS:

I experienced some minor hiccups during my trip… the toilets and showers in the beach club were experiencing some issues with pressure and therefore were closed for parts of the day…
The rooms could use an additional layer of paint and some furniture is chipped… but again, nothing major since the whole experience was truly truly nice…

In summary, if you want to experience one of the best beaches in Thailand and money is not an issue, then The Surin is still my option number one… however, if you want something upscale, exciting, fun and at an affordable rate, definitely Twinpalms is the place to go…

Room Tip: cheapest rooms are on the second floor and tend to be quieter than those on the ground level...

Twin palms and its beach club, catch are by far the best holiday places to hang out in in Phuket. The hotel continues to look as good as it did 7-8 years ago - the staff are super friendly and food is amazing. Catch needs to maybe refind what used to make it chilled and so good - it's still cool but getting a tad overdeveloped now with the new aircon dj booth. The food is still good but the menu is not nearly as good and varied as it used to be. there's some surf to be had if you go march through sep and guys on the beach who will rent you boards.
Defo worth a visit.

We were on a family vacation last year to thailand and decided to stay a couple of nights at Thalang. So we chose Twinpalms as our hotel, an i am glad we made that choice.

The hotel is simply amazing, the facilities are just so over the top. there is something to do for evry age. even my 50 year old dad had a lot of fun in the recreational area along with my 7 year old son. the bar is great and the music and lights are really cool. The beach is just a few metres away and the service staff at the hotel is very caring

The restaurant had simply amazing traditional thai food. Great pizza's available too.
Overall our experience at the twinpalms was really nice to say the least

First things first, the location is great. Surin beach is about 20 mins away from Patong which is about 500 THB by taxi. It's a lot quieter than Patong but we wanted that. There were a variety of people staying here from families to older couples so it is suitable for all but if you are looking for a romantic location it tends to be more on the family side. The layout is great with the swimming pool the feature running up the middle of the resort. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms are very large with two separate sinks on either side. The buffet breakfast is average and nothing more but covers all needs. The Catch Beach Club is a great feature to the resort. It is a short walk across a park of about 150m. We spent a lot of time here on the beach enjoying the sun beds. They can fill up by lunch. The beach boys are great and will eagerly offer assistance and go to the bar for you. Try the massages at the beach as they are good and we found better than the hotel day spa and not as expensive. Overall it is a nice holiday hotel with a great beach nearby, what did annoy me was the construction of a pool bar which is due to finish on the 5th Nov 2012. Although the sign states work from 0900-1700, the incessant drone of the generator along with the nail gun and grinder kicked off at about 0800 every morning! Not great for a relaxing holiday and especially if you wish to sit by the pool. We were not advised of the works and feel that it has really interrupted a peaceful location hence only the average rating otherwise it would be a 4. If you travel after the 5th Nov you'll enjoy it much more than we did.
