Dining options: Late Night
Description: Just off Sukumvit Road, on the way to Ban Phe. Formerly adjoining a dried fish factory was on the property. In a fantasic rain forest setting. The menu is wide and varied including crocodile, emu and snails. However, the standard Thai fare is there and of the highest quality. Ice cream sundae for the kids and creative irish whiskys for the adults.

“A must try”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2011

I am glad i found this place thanks to Tripadvisor, but remember the Thai name: is Tamnanapar (legend of the Jungle).
I was really not expecting such an experience or atmosphere. And the place is huge, you have to listen to the music to find the main terrace (most signs are only in Thai).
Teh food was OK, the blended juices were perfect though (and I am very peculiar on these, i guess I have been too long in Thailand!).
And don't miss the toilets. I think for the first time in my life I took pictures of toilets !

“Wonderland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2011

The local name for this is Tamnanpa - so if you are looking for the turn off the main road ask for this. It is truely a wonderland, the restaurant itself all made from trees like a fantasy tree house, wonderful gardens with water and wildlife, and an unusual menu with favourites mxed in with venison and frog dishes - to name just two of the extravagances. There is giant furniture carved from timber - truely a celebration of the forest. This is worth an evening out, even from Koh Samed. I will definately go back again and again!

“Wonderland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2011

We have dined at this restaurant during the day and evening and both periods of the day have their own charm in this wonderous rain forest setting. Saturday evening with the entertainment and stars shining was entrancing. The menu is extensive and the food cooked to perfection. Prices are very reasonable and the service great, if a little too attentive. However, cannot find fault. We have tried many different dishes including ice cream sundaes for the kids/ The fact that it is favoured by the Thai people says it all. Well worth a turn off the highway whichever way you are heading. Not well signed, which is a shame, but when they build the hotel adjoining they may correct this and vastly increase the visitor numbers. Easier to find on the internet under "worlds best toilet', which is a bit of an over rating of the facility, but it fits in nicely with the setting.
