“Great small resort to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

We stayed her 4 nights after na amazone trip through Myanmar/Burma. We wanted to relax and enjoy the beach, pool and sun. From Bangkok this is a perfect place to visit and end or start a more active holiday. Our room at the first floor has a nice design and beautifull view. The bathroom is nice and the aircon works fine. The balcony is too small to sit on but with the sliding doors you can enjoy the view from the couch or bed. The pool is great and for us not too small. The beach and sea is good but can be a bit smelly when the wind or stream is not well. We visited the lovely bay of ao khai ones and was a perfect way to get. out of the resort to break up your stay. The food is mostly very nice. We were ones unlucky with frozen masamakai but other dishes and breakfast was great. Vegetable tempura is a must try for snack. The staff is friendly but their english has to be improved to provide the service they are willing to provide. For us it was a perfect stay and match with our needs and fully in line with the price you have to pay.

This 19 rooms boutique hotel is situated directly at the beach. It features a restaurant, pool and direct access to the beach. All rooms are facing the water. It has as well a 2 floor suite(house). English is limited but you will be greeted by nice and friendly staff and the English level is efficient enough to provide you with what you need. The room itself is big. It has a full couch, facing the full room size window. It is great to relax and just look at the beach with something to drink or a good book. The bed is comfortable and gave us a good rest. The bathroom is a bit small but big enough to move around alone. Not suitable for two at the same time. The pool is small but good enough to just relax. If you want to swim for exercise I recommend to swim in the ocean. The beach is not really suitable to take a sunbath. Rather rough and sometimes dirty. Depending where the wind is coming from. Overall I really liked the place. The service was very good and the staff very friendly. Due to the small size of the resort you will most likely not be able to check-in early. But book, have fun and relax.

Staff have no clue about good places to eat. The shower smells like dog pee, because dogs are allowed in the room. Location and little swimming pool is ok. Great views, nice interior.
Overall, too expensive for the value you get. We paid 4500 baht for one room. Especially in this area in Thailand.

A small but very nice hotel to stay in. The hotel sits right near the beach and gives you a feeling of seclusion. You might just be tempted to just stay in your room and take in the view of the ocean right from your balcony (if you are on the second floor). The room arrangement is quite nice and clean with enough space to move around without heavy furnishing. It is furnished with a nice L-shaped sofa, great for lounging around and taking in the view of the beach and ocean. The room is divided by 2 levels into a bedroom and a living room, and an attempt of a modernistic decoration of polished concrete floor and walls. The room is well lit and ventilated.
The staff is very nice (all female), even the bell boy is a bell girl. Well mannered and lots of smiles.
The pool is situated near the beach almost as a part of the ocean. It is small but takes up almost the length of the property. The hotel also has a small restaurant that serves very good Thai cuisines. Food should be eaten in your room especially when there is strong wind coming off the ocean.
Overall it is a good, relaxing and quaint place to stay in without it being too crowded like other larger hotels.

Nice small resort. Very friendly staff. Nice view from room. Good to come with a few friends. Rooms are oceanfront so some insect can come in.

Our stay at Bari Lami was nice and relaxed. The hotel itself is not very big and has a nice comfortable feel to it. We had a ground floor room with a big verandah and direct access to the pool. We woke up everyday to a great view of the sea. The room was large and had 2 levels and our toddler loved it. He also loved the swimming pool which was kind of layered for different depths. The staff was very nice and helpful. However, the beach is not clean so no swimming in the sea. The breakfast buffet was okay - not a lavish spread but alright. Wish they had fresh cooked hot eggs though instead of the pre-cooked ones. All in all a good comfortable stay.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms just after the pool ends are great. They have a private verandah, access to...
