I have played this magnificent golf course in Phuket, Thailand twice this year, and it is better each time I return. The green fee is expensive (about USD170) including compulsory cart and caddy) but it is worth every cent. The fairways and greens have been sculpted out of an old tine mine, and the red rock lining the fairways and framing the views are cut-away mountains. Each hole has four tee boxes for every standard of golfer, but a few holes have a long carry over scrub that is snake country. Many holes have water in play, and the final two holes take your breath away. The 17th is a short 155 yard par 3 with the tee box about 100 metres above the green, so the drop is amazing. The final hole is a long par 5 with mountain to the right and jungle to the left, off the tee, then a lake all the way down the right to the green.
The local Thai girl caddies are excellent at advising on club selection and reading greens, but they are paid very ltlle, so rely on a generous tip from the player, about USD 10-20 is recommended. The club-house is magnificent with excellent locker rooms.
I highly recommend this golf course on any visit to Phuket.
