When we first arrived at Nipa, the staff were very pleasant in helping with our check-in. After a long taxi ride, we were surprised with rose petals and cake in our room (honeymoon). We thought they really went out of their way to be thoughtful and sweet. Room was spacious and very clean.The hotel's only restaurant also served pretty good food - especially their pizza.

Some drawbacks was that the hotel location was foreign to most taxi drivers. Also, there was a storm while we were out and could not take a taxi back to the hotel as that area was flooded. We were dropped off at the main road some 100metres off and had to walk calf-deep in flood.

On the last day when we requested for them to call for a taxi to take us to the airport, the receptionist told us it would cost us 550 baht (when it took only 300 baht including 100 baht airport tax to get to the hotel). When we asked for a metre taxi, she was adamant that none would come because of the rain, traffic jam and so on. Caught with heavy bags, we relented. When the 'taxi' arrived, it was not a cab. She made a call to one of her friends to come and pick us up in a private car. I've heard a 500 baht trip to and from the airport is just about the maximum but this was more than double the metre charge and unacceptable that she didn't call a legitimate cab. In the end, there was no jam whatsoever, and made us think it would have been better off to flag a cab off the road instead.

Before we booked this hotel we looked at reviews and were expecting a fair distance to the beach and centre which we did not find - the hotel is at most a five minute walk to the beach and just a couple of minutes to the nearest shops. We stayed in a deluxe room on the ground floor which had twin beds and all necessities for a comfortable stay. Rooms are cleaned to an excellent standard daily and clean towels and seperate beach towels also supplied daily. The only thing I would say is if I went back here I would pay the extra for a pool access room as patios on the ground floor have a lot of plants etc which block the pool view and attract mosquitoes so was not utilised as I would have liked. The staff here are friendly and helpful and even assited my friend to the adjacent hospital when I was injured. We used the hotel taxi transfer both from and to the airport which was reliable and good value. Only ate in the restaurant once when we were too tired to venture out which was awful, this was the only bad point but really not the kind of place you eat at your hotel anyway as so much choice on offer in Patong Beach. I would definately recommend the hotel and return if I visit Patong again.

Check in very good and staff very friendly and helpful, we had pool deluxe access which was fabulous, a good variety for breakfast, 5 minute walk to patong beach which was lovely, overall would recommend this hotel and locationand cant wait to go back. Great bars and restaurants.

a great little hotel set back about 500 metres from patong beach , the hotel was very clean and the breakfast was ok with a good choice , the staff were friendly. would recommend you book the pool access rooms on the ground floor as you have your access to the pool from your bedroom, a good hotel for couples or families ,
