A trip planned for mother and 2 grown daughters, we chose the Millennium for its great location, Internet access and impressive website. Unfortunately, free wifi only allows one device per room to have in room wifi, all other devices were allowed free wifi in the pool, lobby and restaurant areas- very misleading. The photos on the website definitely do this resort justice, the pool area is stunning, the rooms are extremely spacious (3 adults in Grand Deluxe Room), I would recommend the Lakeside wing for less noise, and the cleaning staff are willing to do anything and everything for you. The reception are very hit and miss, some understanding English, some not so great at the English, all very nice personalities but the miscommunication was horrendous. Check in and keeping tabs on room charges were a bit of a nightmare, as the running total one day was different to the next when asked for updates. Check in procedure was not well explained to us upon arrival and key cards needed to be re-coded nearly every day, an inconvenience when you go to your room, then have to go back downstairs to get it sorted.
All in all, location is perfect, hotel amenities are good, staff need a little work on communication skills and I would come back if these few inconsistencies were looked into.

Just completed a three night stay in a Jacuzzi Pool side room at the Millennium Hotel, in Patong, and am already starting to plan our next visit. The Millennium is certainly not the cheapest hotel around, and it may not have all the top notch bells and whistles of some hotels, but it provides a wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate. The Jacuzzi Pool side rooms are wonderful. The openness and spaciousness of the rooms are enhanced by the ability to walk outside to your private alfresco area and your private Jacuzzi, which forms a linkage to the main pool. It is a wonderfully relaxing environment. The other bonus of the Millennium is that it connects right onto the Jung Ceylon shopping and restaurant complex. This means that all the major facilities, restaurants, department stores including the Big C supermarket is literally only a stones throw away. The location is also terrific in that Bangla Road and market style shopping is only a few minutes walk as well.
I can't wait for the next holiday.

the hotel was great we had the cabana suite with its own jacuzzi also its in the heart of patong close to everything have stayed there 3 times now and love it every time, have stayed in a few other places but always go back to millennium.free wifi in our room was great as i was running a business while on my holiday so very easy to do. highly recommend

Iv stayed at the Millennium Hotel at Patong on 2 occasions.

The first time was in January 2009 and subsequently May 2009. I was booked there again in August of 2012 but had to cancel last moment.

The Millennium Group has some really fancy properties worldwide - their London Hotel, though small is real swanky in Mayfair. Comparatively, their Phuket property while is a 5 star is just about in the domain of comfort.

The hotel is divided into 2 sections - Beachside and Lakeside. Ironically, no beach nor lake view but i guess they needed simple names. The first time i stayed at the Beachside which is cheaper and is about a 4 star plus property. However, the Lakeside is prettier and is better of the 2 ( i stayed there during the 2nd visit).

The best advantage of this hotel is that besides being the only 5 star hotel in patong ( Le Meridien is the closest 5 star hotel to Patong) - Millennium is connected to the famous Jungceylon Mall ( One of Phuket's few malls).

Besides the usual shopping, the mall provides lots of restaurant which for kids is bliss.

I would highly recommend this hotel.
