Honestly everything was fine. The Pool. The Cleanliness. But...
I stayed for 4 nights. 18-22 June. Had 2 rooms. Travelling with a kid who wants his warm milk and i want my coffee. For the first night 18 June we did a late check in and went out immediately to Fantasea. When we were back by 10 plus then we realize the kettle was spoilt. Called reception, had to explain slowly what was wrong .. finally she got it and sent up a technician to see after 30 mins. Just to confirm it was spoilt, check wiring and power points and the end he got another one. He plug it in turn it on .. it was on.
Next morning 19 Jun tried to switch on the kettle And IT DIDNT WORK!!!. called reception again and again sent someone with another kettle after 30 mins. and she plug that in and POOF the whole room TRIP. No electricity. Fuming mad now.. IT took nearly more than 30 mins and another call to reception before they sent someone to fix the TRIP! After they fix it they said they will replace kettle with room service. Then i told reception i got to go out so told them make sure replace new kettle by the time we get back. For now we were sharing the kettle with my other room next door which had no problems.
We got back there was the kettle. we tried it and guess what The Room TRIP again.... Called reception again. this time i had my angry voice on and wanted to speak to the manager. of cause the manager not in. This time the technician came faster. fix the trip and the reception called and said it was the room wiring fault. say now room full cannot change and told us if need hot water please go down to the diining area and ask!! my god.. is this how they solve problem.. at least they should offer to send it up everytime i need hot water.. but they ask us to go down and get it myself.....
SO next morning i borrowed the kettle from my other room again. Didnt want to plug it in incase the room trip and since they said it was a wiring issue. So went down breakfast spoke to the manager who i believe is the only one who could speak good english and understands what i was saying. he said he will look into it and sent the engineers. i went up to the room and a technician had plug in my other room kettle in and guess what it WORKS perfectly. SO bottomline is for the past two days they had been changing faulty kettles to me over and over again. There was nothing wrong with the wiring the room it was the damn Kettle.
Went down told the manager about it and he said he will take a look. we had to go for a trip.. came back in our room was a brand new kettle. how i knew.. the instructions was still in it and it work out fine.
Summary.. the reception.. english not so good. dont understand kettle..must use pot or coffee make hot..haha. i guess 3 star hotels.. thats the difference. the staff... technician.. dont know their work..? room wiring my foot. and if the kettle is spoilt they should labelled it instead of bringing it back. If you want anything settled you got to see the manager in the morning.. he looked tired and haggled .. i guess with trying to solve everything.
Despite all that hotel was good and clean.. there is no internet tv as mentioned. i think deluxe and standard rooms are the same.. i booked a deluxe but didnt get any bath robes mentioned. didnt ask for it anyway was already mad about the kettle and electrical trip issues.
Oh to further suggestions the staff have to be more pro active. i was at the pool and this lady pool umbrella flip over... and no one came to help. there was 2-3 hotel staff there and they just look on. not their job? but its the hotel. i dont know to me seem like bad impression. and the pool umbrella remain flip over all the while i was there swimming.
and a suggestion the walkway up the stairs leading to the building A or B is always wet. and the carpet dont stay in place. maybe do something there. cause it is dangerous being slippery there. especially for kids and older folks..
room 408.. now got brand new kettle haha.
