“Peace of paradise right amogst the action.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

This was our second stay at the RPV and it still exceptional value for money for this traditional piece of Thailand right in the heart of Patong. We stayed for 8 nights.

As you walk off the street thru the foyer, you enter peace and tranquility of separate bungalows surrounded by cooling gardens. We booked 2 x superior rooms and 1 x suite ( the dsame suite we had in 2010). The rooms are generous in size with good clean bathrooms. One of the toilets was a bit "woofy" on arrival ( that's Patong thou) but was immediately cleaned and freshened up within five minutes of our request.

The breakfast buffet is availible from 6.30am but most popular around 9am. It has a good selection of continential foods plus an egg chef for great omlettes etc.

Being in a family group on this occassion ( mainly adults with 1 x 5 year old) we utilised the pool each day. It would be nice to have a small battery operated bell near the pool to call the wait staff up in the restaurant rather than have to walk up the steps to place an order.

The hotel is supprisingly quiet given it's location and the sleep quality is very good.

Definetly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The suites are on the top floor of the main building and the steps can get a bit tiresome.

The Hotel:
We booked the bungalow, but it was just a room in the bungalow not a hole bungalow house.
The room was very comfortable, with a big bath (shower & whirpool), sleeping room with all wath you need. It is just a little dark inside, because there are not much windows in.
And a small terrace which is the entrance to the room. It was very clean.
All the stuff people was nice, but the english is bad.
Spezially on the reception, the only person who spoke english well tried every time to sell us a tour. Unfortunately, it was never really welcomed or at least smiled when you stood at the reception. Only the service stuff in the breakfast restaurant was really nice.

To Patong:
The hotel is really just 200 meters from the beach. The beach is clean and beautiful. A lot of tourist (russian and chinese people) are there, so not a place where you can enjoy a quiet holiday. Every minute when you walk on the street somebody ask you for massage, taxi/tuktuk and shopping. THAT SUCKS!

Just returned from 1 month in Thailand staying approx 3 weeks at the Royal Phawadee Village. We had 7 different rooms at the hotel (as there were 16 of us) & the hotel & staff are everything you could hope for (this is not our 1st visit).

We booked everything direct with the hotel & Air (hotel contact) could not have been more helpful. She continually replied to our enquiries in a very prompt & efficient manner. The reception staff are always very courteous & helpful & assisted whenever they could.

The hotel is situated in a good location, only some 200-300 meters walk from the beach & also not far from the shopping areas. One of the main attractions or positives for the hotel is that it only has approx 35 rooms so it is not overcrowded or noisy. The rooms are very neat & tidy & contain everything you need.

My family & I (5 people) stayed in the family duplex room which is a 2 storey unit with sleeping on both levels & lots of space.

The buffet breakfast is of a good standard & is set in a very good environment (overlooking the pool). The staff at breakfast are also very friendly & only too willing to help.

We will stay here once again on our next visit to Thailand & highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Would highly recommend rooms 111 & 124 due to the size of the rooms & their large balconies.

After staying at another hotel for a week, we arrived at RPVR and it was everything we wanted!!
I had booked a pavilion room 501, and yes it smelt a bit musty but didn't really notice it after the first day! The room was massive for the 2 of us and only 10 steps from the pool. I tried the Thai massage and wow it was amazing and the price is no more than what you would pay on the streets. It's not private but during the day there are not a lot of people around and I had no problem relaxing.
As for the free wifi....had no issues at all.
Didn't really eat at the hotel so can't really comment on that.
The staff were just beautiful and nothing was ever a problem for them.
We did have some mosquito issues but there had also been a lot of rain. The best tip I have if you get bitten is to use your antibacterial hand wash on your bites!!! Works wonders!
After a week closer to the area of Bang La, it was the perfect oasis for us to relax. Not a lot of loud noises so we felt like we had moved miles from the party area when in actual fact we were still only 5 mins away.
I would recommend RPVR to anyone. As for myself, I would definitely return to my little oasis.

Well after much searching the internet (trip advisor) for a Hotel that suited our needs, we discovered Royal Phawadee Village and found their reviews satisfying enough for my wife & I to make a booking.

Much correspondence was conveyed prior to our stay and their response was very prompt and attended to all our requests and nothing was to difficult for them. Upon arrival we were greeted with a lovely cold fruit cocktail, and this is when the hoilday began. I was celebrating my 60 birthday and our 36th wedding anniversary and they placed us in the best cabin in their establishment and we could not fault the accommodation. Cabin 501 is the prime cabin to ask for, and no doubt the most expensive, however when you see what is on offer from other Hotels and the price comparison you will come and come again to this Hotel. The gardens are magnificent and you will not hear any noise from the outside world, which can be a problem with a lot of the beach resorts with fire crackers/street noise.Breakfast selection is adaquate and not an over kill as with some other resorts, and the management and staff very courteous and helpfull. The location is excellent and handy to everything, however there is only one item that needs attention at this resort, and you can solve this prior to coming and that is to bring some insect repellent for dawn and dusk for the mosquitoes which are evident if you stay outside, however saying this we brought mosquitoe coils with us and did not use whilst here. Excellent swimming pool and the beach just up the road.

We depart tomorrow for Koh Samui for 6 days before returning to the Gold Coast, Australia
Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in September this year. Initially stayed for one night in the superior room before travelling to Phi Phi Island for a couple of nights, then back to Royal Phawadee for 5 nights before flying out. I booked everything over the net, emailing them personally. reception were excellent on emails and very prompt to respond. I was able to book airport transfers, transfers by ferry to Phi Phi, everything with them and pay via Paypal before we left home.
When we arrived the driver and an excellent car were at the airport to meet us. 700baht was very reasonable I felt for this service. On arrival at the hotel, the staff were very friendly and approachable. Reservation found quickly, welcome dring and refressher towel all provided. The superior room was fine for a one night stay. Lovely, clean, good aircon, but very small. Just room for our luggage and nothing more.
On return from Phi Phi, our deluxe suite was amazingly huge. We had one above the restaurant, overlooking the pool. Spacious veranday with lounger and tables/ chairs. Great bathroom with double sinks, separate shower and toilet in a separate room also. The bed was very comfy with netting and really cute swans made out of the towels. We also had a couch and TV in the living area. The only downside is that being on the third floor, lots of steps. Helped to work off all the coktails etc though. The pool area was beautiful as were the grounds and gardens. Very lush and well maintained. The breakfast was perfectly fine too. Could have had a little more variety with the fruit I guess.
One thing to note though, our friends stayed in a superior room, and theirs appeared to be much larger than ours was. They also had this massive verandah, with a timber swing type table and bench all to themselves, whereas we just had a long verandah with all the rooms off it, so not much privacy from the neighbours. Just luck of the draw I guess, but might pay to look at other rooms if you are not happy as there are dufferent ones in the same category. reception also mined our luggage when we went to Phi Phi, so we only took one small bag with just what we needed for our short stay.
Location is great althogh not on the beach. Only a very short walk though. Many massage places very close by. We went to the one with all the pink ladies out the front. Forgot the name but you can't miss it.
This hotel has beautiful Thai decor- all teak and recycled timber. Looks just like in the photos on here. Very clean and well located. We found ALL staff to be very friendly and accomodating- even the girls at reception, so I really don't know what other reviewers expect as there seems to be negative reviews around reception. Would definately recommend to all who want an atmospheric authentic place to stay.

Room Tip: Deluxe suites are the go if staying for a few days. worth the extra dollars. If you choose superior...

We loved the decorations and the large room in this hotel. We had a room looking over the pool area. During the day, the pool was almost empty, we tried it out once but it was better to go to the beach just 5 min away.
If you want an authentic massage, try out the massage saloon just beside the pool, those ladies really know what to do. In comparison we had a foot massage down the street to the beach, which was cheaper, but the quality was below our expectations.
Breakfast was good but if you want an espresso you have to look for another place. The espresso was the same with the coffee served during breakfast.
Internet connection in the room was useless. They have a business center where you have high speed internet connection free for 10 minutes-so go there if you need the internet quickly (you will have to ask for a username and password from the reception).
The stuff was really helpful, I asked one lady there to give me a local newspaper and she left it for me at the reception on her her day off.
You can use for the beach towels from the hotel and then drop them off at the reception when you return.
The hotel has a gym on the second floor if you want to exercise.
Lightning in the room could be improved changing them with more powerful bulbs.
