“Great staff, room, service and location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

The room was very spacious for me. Superior. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I love the pool area and the beach is a 2 minute walk, you can see it from the main entrance. The main shopping area is only about 7 minutes walk up the road which was awesome. Some cheap things compared to Bangkok, t-shirts, tank tops etc..food selection was awesome all around. My check in to the hotel was not a problem. I arrived early, before 1200p and my room was ready. People did complain about noise from the rebuilding next door but I didn't hear much. I would and will definitely stay here again.

We moved on this hotel from our previous hotel booking in Sansabai Resortel which is realy bad. White Sand Resortel received a lot of negative reviews however base on our experienced the hotel is good enough for the price you pay. The room is spacious, beddings and toilet is clean. Bath towel is being replaced with a new one everyday. Primary necesities is provided insied the room. Location wise is great as well coz it is located less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. Night light, bars, shopping malls and restaurant is walking from the hotel. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. You can arrange to extend your check out time without any extra payment and if your flight back to your point of origin is in the evening you can check out and leave your baggage in the reception and can enjoy the reamining of your hours on shopping or swimming. You can also book a tour in the hotel and arrange transpor to and from the airport to the hotel vise versa. There is a swimming pool in the roof top which you can view the beach front and a buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor from 6am to 10 am at a minimal cost (Baht 150) Over all experienced was great and we have no complain about the services ang ammenities. Great staff.

Room Tip: rooms in the third floor 301 to 303 are good.

Stayed there in November 2011. 1st thing I noticed was the sewer gas venting in my bathroom. Easy fix bought some tape from the 24 hr store around the corner. Then there was several questionable stains on the couch. And my safe didn't work. After steaming the bathroom up a little,I noticed mirror scribbles from previous visitors.
Obviously not on the housekeepers to do list?
Location was great. And the staff were friendly and hospitable .

Room Tip: Bring some gaff tape.

The location is great great, I have been told that there is new management, who has now focused on service, hotel condition and breakfast quality. Their goal is to improve staff service, cleanliness and guest impression. Lets give them a chance. There is a construction of new hotel next to the hotel, however, they will complete soon.

Room Tip: Royal suite is big and comfortable, if you want a sea view, go for deluxe room.

Stay there Feb., 2013. Charged for US$ 130 a night for 4 nights in Deluxe room. Was first given Rm. 316. It was as though used as depot before and was converted hastily to make money during Chinese new year week. The floor was old stained worn out vinyl. The bed was a small queen-sized with very old uncomfortable, too soft mattress. Room was moldy. No telephone. At night it was noisy from the busy street below. Not soundproof. Next day we complained and was switched to a Deluxe room on second floor. and that first rm. was given to the unfortunate new guest coming in. In the new room, the bathroom was very moldy and the door was so rotting. The bathmat was an old towel cut to make a mat. The toilet paper dispenser had no rod. Two ceiling lights did not work. The room was noisy until 2-4 am. due to music & singing from a bar across the street. Besides the front entrance, the front balcony facing the back wall of building about 3-4 ft. away and it was unsightly and the space in between seemed to be used as a dumping site. The bed sheet had multiple patches of pale yellow discoloration that one could guess they were from multiple contamination with human liquid secretions(It was near the nightlife area with plenty of sex workers). The breakfast was included but it had not many choices that were the same everyday and the area was not air-conditioned neither the hotel lobby and the staff could be moody working in the heat. The only elevator was small and always smelled like it was constantly bug-sprayed. a small roach was seen over the food table in the so called dining area. The TV remote was broken and partially working and when complained it was replaced with another one that was also taped and only worked partly.

It was near the beach and shopping areas with night activities. The air-cond. was effective for the heat. The reasonable price perhaps should be around $50. Not the place for young children or families for clean atmosphere for the obvious reasons and cleanliness.

Room Tip: Avoid room 316. Ask to see the room first but best to stay somewhere else. Escape from building fire...

I used to stay at this place quite a few times already... That means that it's a lovely place ... if you get a discounted rate with a travel agent!
Rooms are nice...but after some years I see that some maintenance should be done! So I hope they will do that soon...
Very nice swimmingpool at 4th floor, but unfortunately they close it after 8 pm.... It used to be open all night before so that was very nice... But not anymore!
Anyway, just let you know that it's very close to family market and 7 11 and just 3 min walk to the beach! 5 min to bangla but yet very quiet!

This hotel is old ,dirty and outdated. Needs a renovation and much better cleaning from the staff . There were some yellow spots on the pillow cases and brown spots on the towels when i entered the room . I think they need to teach their staff how to clean the rooms .
The mattresses are hard and uncomfortable There is a construction site next to the hotel, SO expect noise. The elevator is pretty slow .The swimming pool is small. Can`t say anything about the food since we ate outside.
The location is good though. If you are looking for some comfort and cleanliness stay away!

Room Tip: There is a construction side on one side and the street on the other so it will be noisy on both sid...
